How would you type the name if it has a space in it? I'm trying Valorant and where I would put SteamSetup the name of the valorant installer is "Install Valorant". I tried a space, an underscore, and mashing the words together with caps but it wont go
try changing the name of the "install VALORANT.exe" file to "InstallVALORANT.exe" and then try

🤔It downloaded and worked although if I close out of it, it *will not* open again. Then I tried to delete it and it says "It is currently being run by another app or launcher which it's not. Henceforth it will not delete.
Once you can get it to accept the name, it still doesn't work and ends up asking for admin credentials again. (At least on Windows 11 in 2022)
Guys this works 100% it’s just some times the admin still blocks use of applications

Copy and Paste -> set __COMPAT_LAYER=RunAsInvoker
----------------------------> start 'Blank'
Blank is the exact name of the file you're wanna bypass.

1. Some apps work and some don't

2. Your school blocked the ability to run batch files

This only works for Steam if any yall wondering. I tried other games and it asked for admin password
it works for other things ive tried it before
and not only steam
I think virtual box works
when i download steam it'll ask for the admin user and password
you need name the file (anyname).bat and then save it and double click on the file that u just saved and not drag it onto steam
I tried it and when it finished installing, it said that you needed internet to start the program cause it was steam, even though my internet is fine. Is there any way you can fix this?
It worked for the installer and it installed but when I tried to open the thing it asked for admin password

@@stevenvalerio2396 you have to go to minecraft installer alternate downloads and then look and press for the exe one it should download look for it on downloads launch it sign in to your minecraft account and if you didn't buy minecraft you can just play the demo or if you bought it you can just play the full version

@@nejlazlc So I remembered that I just followed every step how it is and I bypassed it just fine, not sure what I did exactly but that’s all I remember sadly. I didn’t continue to download genshin on pc because when I tried to download it (I was already at the download screen of the game)- and it already “loaded”, it didn’t want to work anymore
I don’t know if it’s just my potato computer but I haven’t tried it since, but I will try it again soon just incase (Genshin impact had a few bugs earlier and I tried to download it on mobile, it didn’t work at first since the game itself did have a glitch and everyone experienced it- but in the end it worked after the game has updated)
I can just update whether or not it works someday, but in the meantime- could you tell me which part did it not work for you? I might remember what I did to bypass it :>
Tl;dr I bypassed it just fine, but I didn’t get to download the game I’m trying to download because maybe it’s just my pc, a glitch with the actual game, or it actually didn’t work at all.

mine didn't come up with the password this time but it came up with a screen that said windows cannot find '[Steam Setup]'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. but I spelt it right and followed all the instructions

edit: I'm encountering a problem, it installs but when the steam updater launches it runs into a problem, and needs to "repair" something. Which needs administrator access.
Just select cancel and it will still work

It does. It popped up a uac prompt. Uac prompts do not pop up on recordings.(at least the ones I know don't show uac prompts)
