How to disable Microsoft Family Controls

- Using the task manager, you can disable what Microsoft uses to keep a record of your activities in Windows 10
WHAT I DID IN THE VIDEO
Open task manager, then head over to services tab, look for this service 'WPCMONSVC';
right click, then click on stop to temporarily stop the service.
Open services menu by clicking on the link labeled 'open services' at the bottom of task manager screen.
Once the services screen pops up, search for 'parental controls';
Once you've located it, Right click and go to properties..
Then change the start-up type to disabled.

How does it work? I don't think most people that are watching this video have administrator permissions. I can't stop the service because I don't have admin.

Nope.. Once its off its off for good..you need to re-enable it manually

Your previous activities will show up in mail but any activity performed from the time you disabled the service will not show up

Hey man! You have to clikc open services on the parent control after stopping them( by right clicking and selecting) and then a new tab will pop up
Just like he said, after you must have stopped 'WpcMonsrv' by right clicking on it, right click again and select 'open services'. The services tab will open up then search for 'parental controls'.
But will they notice the Extra time i uset in the activity report or that i turned it off

well u could do the extreme and reset ur pc by removing files. I didn't have administrator so I was forced to do that.

@@sanne9339 sadly no way to do that, unless you reset the password on your parents Microsoft account and log into it and remove the blocks on the games you want

Yes it does.. It stops the service that triggers the pop up entirely and can still be reactivated ☺☺☺

So I read your blog and watched the video at the part where parental controls opens in services how does it get there I have been stuck on this part?
You have to find the services tab and open it
I had found a way to disable parental controls before this but it required overloading the controls but it was really inefficient so thanks man for introducing me to this easier way! But even if its easier it doesn't work for me rn since everything is greyed out when I try to click on manual and switch it to disabled.

Hey but my parents can check on the Microsoft family website for how long I’ve been on for I might get caught if I turn it off?
The hours won't count...They'll only see 0 hours
I’d like to know if this works like the system configuration method and stops showing any activity on the app because that’s how my parents found out what i was doing. They saw i had used 1 minute in system configuration and the my timer stopped.
That's why u need to stop the service first using task manager, before you open the services window..
You just need to stop it so that it won't record ur activities as u proceed with the rest of the process

I did what you said but i couldn’t run parental because i disabled it so when I went to go back to run it it didn’t let me start it again after I disabled it
In that case you have to change the startup type.. Choose any other thing but not disabled
for some reason once ive disabled it and try it start it again it doesnt start, do u know any fix?

so i disabled the parental controls it said stopped and then i restarted and my internet is back, but my roblox launcher is not opening it is saying that it is blocked by parental controls and an administrator needs to provide me access. pls help on this matter
Before you totally disable parental controls, you need admin privileges 😢

What time frame did you encounter such? In the services window, you can find the parental controls there but in the services tab you will find 'WPCMONSVC' there then follow up with the video
