Me too!!! Your channel is so inspiring, I literally squee with delight when you post new videos. It's always a thrill to see what you have imagined (and all your different techniques and tools? Love seeing them!)
In Mexico we also say that someone has a wasp’s waist when they have an hourglass figure (and that they have a bee’s waist if they are chunky). This doll is absolutely gorgeous as always!!
As a plus size person if someone said I have a bee waist u would fall in love with them because it makes me feel a little less insecure being compared to something so cute ☺️
I love how Ghoulia’s sharp face mold and the black eyes makes her look predatory. She reminds me of your tooth fairies in terms of creepiness and I love that.
She looks so cool! The whole concept of fairies based off of insects is so interesting, and you nailed it on her and the bee fairy. I really love the way you pose your dolls, even though they loose their articulation, it makes their poses so much more lifelike and beautiful that I'd say it's 100% worth it!
yeah she does it well enough that its a net positive, if she was into sewing tiny lil doll clothes then keeping the articulation would be essential but this is more like character art
personally I love the fact that your dolls are non-articulated. It's so different from anything else I've seen, and the way it allows you to fully explore and showcase their personality and character is amazing! you've quickly become my go to doll channel 🥰

This is absolutely stunning. I see doll customs as pieces of art, and making them into sculptures is just the artists choice. It creates the possibility of stunning poses as demonstrated. As always, incredible job catmeleon!
This looks more like a wasps nest than you might think. All it lacks is bug legs hanging out of it, because they stuff their prey into the combs for later feeding for their young. I cut one open one time and it was filled with spiders neatly packed for easy feeding purposes.
Very cool! I liked the contrast between the two projects. I love the poses you put your dolls in because it adds another dimension. Can't wait to see what's next!
my favorite animal is a Giant devil praying mantis. i already think they have a fairy/alien like essence to them, seeing you create one as a doll would be INCREDIBLE! 💓💕
i think some wasp species are known for stealing honey, so she could be doing that! she’s gorgeous. i love the contrast between her and the bee fairy. they’re both so beautiful with each of their own unique elements.
I think the fact you make your dolls in your own style with your own vision it makes you different and more appealing to me… I for one like that you pose your dolls and give them so much detail that other doll artists aren’t able to achieve with articulated dolls. Much love from Canada 🇨🇦
Fixed pose dolls are just as valid an art form as articulated dolls. I enjoy your art! And wasp nests are often made of hexagonal sections, so the base fits perfectly.
i love wasps!! this is a very good one and im happy you made it!! altho wasps can be sweet too :p i love her pose and how well you sculpted and painted her segments. would love a moth fairy based on a scarlet-bodied wasp moth or a similar species :O
Wow, she is awesome! I love her pose - I think that even with BJD it would be hard to pose doll like this! I like this in your dolls - it makes them unique and yours :). Even if I'm trying to keep posebility of my dolls, I admire the opportunities of making figurine. I don't know which I like most - Bee or Wasp. Even if I'm more on the cutesy side of the Force, Wasp is so baddass!

The pose is amazing!! ✨With the bone that pops out of her hips & the sharp wasp patterns on her body, it makes her extra edgy. Absolutely love her💛 (Just an idea, a tarot card inspired doll)
That cardboard actually works perfectly for a wasp! Wasp nests are often papery, rather than waxy, and have larger, deeper holes that are more uneven in shape than honeycombs! It looks pretty realistic in it's original, brownish-and-partially-papered form!
Jeez I HATE wasps but I can't help falling in love with this bossy lady. Look at her! That's baffling! I can't even believe this is your 10th project! Very well done, sweetie!
She looks as awesome as the bee lady! Her concept is great and I totally love her haircut. x) Inredible work as always! Please make more insect ladys in the future.
I like the combination of both static and articulated dolls whatever you feel like doing whenever you feel like doing it! That's what I've learned to do with my own art. You do you!
I’m still not over the fact you were visited by the very insects you were making figurines of, that cannot be a coincidence. That is nature’s approval if I’ve ever seen it.
I'm just so impressed with the design! The wasp elements like the eyes, segmented mouth, antennae, abdomen and wings flow so smoothly with the more antrhomorphic aspects of the doll and it's just!! Ahhh!! I love everything about her!! Also articulated dolls are great if you want a mobile character who you can take lots of pictures of in different places and in different situations; but figurines are just so much more atmospheric and they capture the imagination so much more!! They're a piece of solid 3d art like a sculpture, with a whole story of their own! (I've absolutely fallen head first into your channel and I'm loving it. Your work is just so creative and interesting! Keep it up :D!!)
I agree :) The articulated dolls are definitely better for some cool outdoor or indoor photoshoots. As a former photographer and costume designer I personally rather to make photoshoots with real human beings. So I'm choosing both: making photos with people and making figurines from dolls :)
I actually really like the fact that you make your dolls non articulated because the lack of seems on the joints gives a really nice effect! And I think the non articulation gives a sort of statue vibe which is really nice!
You make such beautiful elaborate things. Maybe a doll with fur all over. A werewolf maybe since its almost Halloween season. Dollightful had one and although hers is quite cartoony, a different take on a more scary or serious and artistically posed werewolf would be nice. Havent seen that anywhere also for a OOAK
I can’t get over how good your dolls look and your head shrinking method! I had never seen anyone shrink heads before I saw your videos and it looks so good!
Personally I feel that with intact articulation it is indeed a doll. With fixed body parts glued to a stand it is a figurine like you said. It is a sculpture more than a toy. That's exactly why I like your work. They're sculptures to me and I do love to make sculptures. Yet you make it much more of an interesting thing than to build up a wired figure of clay. The paper cone fits the WASP perfectly! Because they build nests that are called paper nests so she can just be dancing on top of her nest🙂 thanks for another great video binge watching all of them 😂
Ever thought about doing more Insect Fairies? Butterflies and Ladybugs comes to mind! Also, be thankful the dolls' heads you worked on didn't have glue in it. Those kinds of glues can leave stains on the dolls heads for some reason, but also leaves a disgusting gluey feeling on the hair, no matter how many times you wash it!
Yeah I know that. But I do enjoy removing the sticky, gooey hair plugs then a glueless ones. And I don't care about the doll's original hair. They always go to trash anyway :)
my favourite parts in both the wasp and bee fairy is definitely the stand... i love how creative you are with the sculpts and they always turn out amazing
I usually hate wasps (wkurzona pszczola na sterydach) but this one is OMFG I want one! Also, in terms of using gluing your dolls in permanent position... well it is your artistic choice. This how you imagine them and how you make them and tbh I prefer the way you do it. For me it gives a depth and detaches it from being a toy with different paint.
Thanks :) I think the same. I personally rather collect figurines on my shelves than dolls. And as long as I am not selling my pieces, they are actually displayed in my house :) Off course this is just my personal preference and I am not saying witch form is better in general.
It's good what you said about articulation vs final pose. It's artist's intent. And your intent is to display in one final pose, as a completed work. It's different from other doll artists I watch but I like it.
It’s funny you mentioned that some people questioned your choice of making figurines instead of articulated dolls. I thought I wouldn’t like your videos for that very reason, so I put off watching the bee one until tonight. I was just too charmed not to give it a chance. And I’m glad I did! You’re doing really solid creative work, which is exactly what like. Thank you for sharing it with us! 💕
I would absolutely love to see you do some sort of beetle fairy. As a suggestion, you could use multichrome nail powder to get that shimmery effect that beetle shells have!
Honestly I think it's cool to make them more like figures than toys. Gives you a little more room to be creative, putting them in poses you couldn't achieve otherwise!
She sure is one tough Wasp, I think I'll call her Waspette the toughest wasp but still kind to her cousin Honey. Once the queen Bee is done I wonder which doll is going to become a spooky creature. See you on your next video. :)
Paper wasps do make hexagonal nests to raise their brood in. Someone actually did an experiment by providing colored construction paper and the wasps made a rainbow nest.
I usually prefer poseable dolls, like Dollightfull's Dragon dolls, because dolls like those would be more cool to pose. But I actually really love your doll figurines because the poses are so realistic and dynamic that they're not necessary to change!! In fact, my favorite aspect of your dolls are the poses and the stands. They remind me of those crazy scientist types in fantasy stories that have an assortment of creatures, fossils, body parts, etc just stored in jars or put on display. Like taxidermy or something, but with fairies... It's creepy but it looks awesome!
Thank you :) I am happy that you like it :) I also love watching other creators articulated dolls. I wouldn't dare to say that one way is better then the other. It is just the matter of personal preference.
Even if wasps don't make honey, they still make nests that have that hexagon shape holes for the babes.
Yes, they do! So I am not completely inaccurate! :D
Headcanon: This badass wasp Is in charge of protecting the babys
@@aidendinoWell, knowing how aggressive wasps can be, I believe that this wasp will try to square up with everyone :D
And some species of wasps do make honey~
I think there is a type of wasp that also attack bee hives and steal honey so the stand makes sense lol

Maybe just at the beginning 😂 Thank you ☺️
Love your creation!!! I would Love to see the entire bee fairy collection one day!!! beautiful work of art!!!
Another perfectly interpreted insect. She is amazing…thanks for sharing
I would absolutely love to see you do some sort of beetle fairy. As a suggestion, you could use multichrome nail powder to get that shimmery effect that beetle shells have!
Maybe one day... who knows? :)
Honestly I think it's cool to make them more like figures than toys. Gives you a little more room to be creative, putting them in poses you couldn't achieve otherwise!
She sure is one tough Wasp, I think I'll call her Waspette the toughest wasp but still kind to her cousin Honey. Once the queen Bee is done I wonder which doll is going
to become a spooky creature. See you on your next video. :)
you can even make the whole hive, i'll definitely watch them all 😂
perfect as always. love your work 💘
11:10 Yep, sometimes you just want to experiment...
Loved this little creepy wasp queen!
Never surrender! Where is a problem - there is a solution :D
Paper wasps do make hexagonal nests to raise their brood in. Someone actually did an experiment by providing colored construction paper and the wasps made a rainbow nest.
Is there a video? I kinda wanna see that
Oh my... that sounds so AWESOME!
You are amazing!!! Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful work with us
She's absolutely gorgeous!!! And I love all the pose you put your dolls in! They're really cool and animated even without articulation
I’d love to see you make an adorable chubby fluffy moth fairy too!
