- I hope you enjoy the grand finale to this 1996 Suzuki #RM250 #2stroke dirt bike restoration & rebuild I worked on over the past year and a half. It's a video made to watch all the way through, from beginning to end, so please don't just skip to the end 🙃.
So many people helped bring this project to life. Here are some of them: Suzy and Chloe from Evo-Mx supported this project with the gorgeous replica graphics and seat cover. Chris from Race Tech helped with the much needed suspension parts. Barb from Ceet Racing sent me a fresh seat foam. My friends at Breakers111 donated those cool vintage bar pads. Kevin at RWB was so kind and helped with the Wiseco & Pro X engine parts. Brian at Bolt Motorcycle Hardware contributed those amazing bolt kits. Please support these wonderful companies that supported this project:

Additionally I want to thank Tony Blazier (@TheMotocrossVault) for documenting the history of these bikes in his unbelievable archive. I used his scans to create the mockups for this build you see at the beginning of the video. Thank you to the guys at Electro-plating Specialties for taking care of all the anodizing, zinc plating and powder coating for this and my previous build. I also want to thank the very kind and humble @thetwostrokerebuilder for his guidance on rebuilding my crank. Thanks to the guys at Vital for getting me the silencer sticker measurements so Evo-MX could recreate it. Thanks to my friend Gary for teaching me how to use the Tig machine and making many of the repairs possible. Also thank you to my roommate Justin for being cool with me building motorcycles in the living room.
And finally thank you to all the student activists and people of conscience around the world who have continued every day to stand up and act against the genocide in Gaza. You're standing with tremendous courage in the face of a monster. These brave and dedicated people are our only hope for peace and justice in Palestine and beyond. This video is dedicated to you.

Although I've seen this build multiple times now, I just cannot emphasise enough, what a work of art it is!
I didn't go all out like this too. Only because the lack of tools and cash but I know what you mean it's great to get down.
Bro, this is a work of art. I can only describe this as a destroyed hero that you brought back to the stage. It looks like a movie
Thank you Bassem, you're a kind man!
In 2001 I bought this model, a machine without equal, no problems with it, it was light in weight, manageable, powerful, it had everything, perhaps nostalgia invades me...
You have given me 1 hour of pure visual art, accompanied by good music.
I told you on other occasions, you are an artist from head to toe, what you have demonstrated with this restoration is at a stratospheric level,
only have one option, stand up and applaud him until your hands hurt, you have done with this motorcycle...
it's magic, friend, and not everyone knows how to do it.
Thank you a thousand times, a job well done must be well recognized, I don't know what your next objective will be, with your permission,
I will watch this video again and continue applauding while sitting...
Never abandon these works and never stop showing them... a hug,
don't take too long buddy...
This is one of the kindest compliments I've ever received. Thank you friend, it means a lot.
@@madmarche’s right, excellent rebuild and excellent video documenting of the rebuild!
I enjoyed the entire video, I’ve rebuilt a few dirt bikes.. but not to this level.
Well Marc, you truly are Mad cause only a lunatic would rebuild from the ground up by repairing everything, but that's what makes you special and what draws me to your content
Thanks man the work makes you go mad
Dude I thought the video was like 20min, this hour past so fast. Incredible restoration, truly. Now it's a 15.000$ bike.
I have seen lots of restoration build on youtube this is the only build made with detailing best restoration on youtube so far i have seen i wish this was voice discussion
Dude, you get mad extra points for doing the assembly in the living room. Nice bike.
That's a dream....am 47 years old and now i see my bike when I was child.... congratulations for yours skills..... This bike must be in the museum..... Thanks from Greece...
The amount of time and effort that went into this RM250 and editing this video is truly amazing. I love 2 strokes
I'm struggling what to appreciate more, the video or the workmanship. Mindblowing stuff really.
@@cbeharry68Agreed, he is truly a perfectionist 👌
I have waited a 2 months to see the rest of this bike and I cannot believe how good it turned out. WE NEED MORE BUILDS BRO!! I wish I had even a little bit of the talent you have man this is truly a work of art. I’m doing a 2001 RM250 right now and would love to pick your brain because it’s inspiring. Thank you for sharing this with us
Thanks for watching man, I hope it was worth the wait.
It's just a masterpiece of hard work and dedication!
It's undeniable that zuki should be an art piece of a racing museum, BUT i'm eager to see it on a field test after the rebuild.
CONGRATS FOR THE AMAZING VIDEO AND ALL THE EFFORT RESTORING THAT BIKE, ALSO FOR STANDING AGAINST THE GENOCIDE IN GAZA
The attention to details is off the charts. Holy moly!!! 🤪🤯
the best mechanic I've ever seen
Awesome, beautiful work! Great editing, and great cinematography. I never get over the living room rebuilds.
the ending is very sad that he was found in a damaged condition, now he is new and back to his golden days, goodbye and he will be a memory for you because you restored him from 0 to 100 and he was like new again. Thank you for restoring him to like new. It's factory default, bro
Thank you for watching buddy!
this is the most complete and detailed rebuild that I'd ever seen...
thats one of the better builds ive seen in a bit !!🤟
jesus christ , this building is atemporal , thank you ! what a beauty..
You had good form in your skills and showed good mechanical sympathy for the parts. Its nice to finally see a skilled mech in front of the camera, many before you i can hand on heart say showed inly a degree of respect that you showed this and the care to restore it. Well done
That's really kind man, thank you!
that is definitely a yamaha yz in background can't wait
🤐
Great ending!!!!!! Excellent series!!! Thank you!!!
This is taking it to a whole new level. Bravo.
Evo Mx is the shit. That shift lever hack was unbelievable. I loved the bolt with the c clip modification.
This is an exemplar of how attention to detail produces an outstanding product. Well done!
Fantastic work 👏 👍
wow. you are an artist.
One of the best restoration I've watched. Hats off to you.
Many TH-camrs who rebuild dirtbike's can take an example from you!!
Atention to detail is amazing, great editing too!! 👌
Thanks Marcel!
長い間、待っていました。ありがとう。
Amazing build and fantastic video. Very well put together. I love to see an old ragged out 2 stroke come back to life.
best video in summer 2024 😍
this is the best video i ve had seen on youtube this year
Amazing restoration. Too many people "restore" dirt bikes and sell them, but this is not one of those. I bought my 2001 yz 125 for way more than i should have since the prices here in Canada are so inflated. The guy had restored it, powder coated the frame, fresh top end. The kickstart broke right away, the fins on the radiators were all mashed, and the engine blew up two weeks later. Learning experience.
Вероятно, это самая крутая реставрация, которую я видел на ютубе)
When tightening the top bolts on the front fork i always span a piece plastic bag between the bolt and the socket to prevent it from marking. Works a treat!
That's a great tip!! I will try it next time, thanks for sharing
Ok, im impressed.😮
Filming, editing, not to mention the detail; endless detailing.,wow...
Fit finish, end result. 😊... Oh, the repairs! . . Who does plastic?🫱😌
🥂 Well done young man.
I'm speechless. Immaculate.

Je reste sans voix.

this is a masterpiece, one of the best restoration videos on the internet hands down!!!
What a master piece & dedication.
just pure brilliance
Placer 💪 te veo desde Argentina ❤
Your work is really admirable, you did all the details with the utmost care and your Suzuki engine is no different from a factory zero engine❤. I enjoyed watching this video.
Thank you friend, I appreciate the kind words!
Your motivation towards your projects is amazing bro, and your editing is great. I grew up on dirt bikes, and just bought a brand new 24’ Honda 250F. Excited for the next build man.

Absolutely stunning craftsmanship and attention to detail!!! The hours of intensive hands-on work, elbow grease and ingenuity required to pull this off is insane!!! Then add recording and editing of the documentation of this effort and you have a legendary accomplishment Sir!!!

Great shot. No extra stuff. Interesting to watch from start to finish.))))
I've been waiting for this for so long, thank you...
This is a work of art. If it was mine I would sit it in my living room and never ever ride it. Seeing the amount of work put into this, even though it's only a very very compressed amount, is just insane.
Thanks Geoff , i had initially planned to ride it but I don't have the heart to get it dirty
Loved watching this - and also loved your music choice! Really accented it well!
Never skip a second, what a great video n craftmanship !
Thank you. I really enjoyed that last 1:04:11 of my life. That bike almost looks to pretty to ride.
