The one shop that had space available was The Coffee Xchange which closed 12-31-20. But above it used to be the Very first bar that opened in 2008 when the county was no longer dry. When the first beer truck pulled up;it caused quite a sensation.
I agree with you in regards to the '2 party system'. I bet those HQs have a secret door/stairwell in the back of each building that leads to an underground tunnel where there's a lavish 'speakeasy' type of set up they go to to meet up with one another and laugh at us 'deplorables'...lol. How would you rate race relations/political climate of Asheboro? Would you say Asheboro is more liberal or conservative? Thanks for the tour...looks like a nice town.
@@brucefarmer9991 No, there are no more sundown towns that I know of. I did a video on Southern Pines and it was a sundown town at one time and they made note of it on a historical marker i saw there. It's hard to believe people behave that way. A past we do not want to repeat that's for sure.
Well done! Enjoyed your descriptions, and they made me feel like moving to Asheboro. You brought out the beauty in the city that others could miss.
Thank you. It is great town.

I bet it did.
I will be visiting this cute little town in a few days with my bf and I was curious on what’s around so thank you for this video!
Saw 2 of my relatives names on the memorial walls - thanks Tim
You’re welcome.
The Chicago Dog closed too. Covid related loss of business.
Hate to hear that. Thanks for the information.
Lovely video, Tim...
I hope to retire here one day! -
It’s a beautiful area.

Its so beautiful town but the video so short 10 minutes only wish it 30 minutes or more . Thx
I live here

I don’t know enough about Asheboro to answer that question. But your speakeasy comment was hilarious.
I also loved what Tim said😂
I was good til he got to the Confederate statue !! 👀
Beautiful town sad current and past history, next!!
Thanks for posting. It’s always good to hear opinions from others. And thanks for watching.
So is that a sun down town?

They barely showed anything!!!
Kinda look like a boring place or??
Do NOT visit asheboro NC for any reason, no matter what is there. It is a place of constitutional violations and all sorts of civil rights disgrace.
