I think I’m mostly excited for the performance upgrade and wasm update as well, I have a good system but the sim is cpu heavy and I have a decent cpu but my performance at huge airports suck so I hope sim update 15 will help it a lot
Thanks for you updates just one small criticism - the music loop in the background is really annoying and repetitive - you dont need any music at but if you think you need music just pick something less repetitive and make it a bit quieter...
One thing I noticed, is when it’s snowing the snow is black under floodlights at nighttime, and when it’s snowing, the ground goes really wet and removes all of the snow from the runway. It’s reacting as if it was raining. And there needs to be light shafts coming from floodlights from the terminal when it’s foggy or snowing.

It's something else to do in the sim. Things they learn doing it directly relates to actual non fictional planes. The motto of remain humble, "Always Learning" models are promising indeed. My comments probably flew over some folks heads. Oh well
Hello, When I run the FS2020 application, it seems like the update screen briefly appears in the background while performing update checks, but the game starts loading without allowing any action. In fact, because of this, my fullscreen setting gets reset every time, and the game starts in windowed mode. I've checked many places, but there doesn't seem to be any pending update to download. Does anyone else experience this issue or have a solution to suggest? I've done all the updates for Microsoft Windows as well, just wanted to mention that.

I think MSFS made a big mistake going with Asobo. The fact we still don’t even have turbulence 4 years after release is ridiculous. There was turbulence in FSX over 15 years ago, as well in P3D
There was some interesting titbits for MSFS 2024 as well. Reading between the lines, you covered prop simulation updates and the strong possibility of ray tracing in the new sim, also the texture handler is going to support higher texture resolutions, so finally higher airport ground textures to compete with X-Plane. FlightFX VisionJet is going to be developed for MSFS 2024 (default) and Jorg also confirmed presence of Microsoft and Asobo at the Rio hotel in Las Vegas for FlightSim Expo 2024. I'm going to be there, and I'm pretty excited to see what they reveal!
An inbuilt replay facility is required, together with accurate real world air traffic and visual effects on aircraft, as Paralell 42. In short, things i miss from P3d!

I have been trying to get my Thrustmaster T.Flight HOTAS X to work properly with MSFS 2020 for PC off and on for a couple of years after an update killed it (searched for and tried dozens of “fixes” with unsatisfactory results) and I’m done. The 2024 version looks great but there’s not chance in hell that I will buy it after my experience with MSFS 2020.

I've had enough of this simulator you have a working sim then an update comes and it doesn't work anymore for some . I use VR and my frame rates have halved since those last updates. PC Mode is OK . LOOKING AT X-PLANE 12.
I sure hope we dont see a transition of MSFS going into fictional flying “machines” and begin to get away from actual simulation development and progression. It already seems that they may be catering to an xbox customer base as they have made changes, not specifically for the growth of flight sim, but rather that it be more optimized for xbox users.
Why i could care less about the new sim and what they need to do to get my interest 1) historical weather 2) correct taxi ways, with full signage you can read 3) a way to clear aircraft from a gate, the airport can have 200 gates and 2 other planes and 99.9999999% chance one is at the gate i want to go to! 4) enter time instead of a close enough slider 5) actually be placed at the gate you want the first time!
Shout out to the guy in the stream that told them about dynamic LOD in PC. Jorg looked around like 😅 huh! It’s an easy implementation and works perfect in Xbox already. We getting it boys!!!
This all looks great. I'm most likely one of the few who are very patient with this tech. I enjoyed MSFS, got the VR going. Bought a 3070ti. And..Was impresed. BUT, to me, I think another two years we'll be at true to life VR. To keep pumping money into tech that is obsolete in two year? I'm setting aside MSFS for a while. Nothing truly amazing has improved from release of MSFS. Tweaking, money grabs, disappointing performance in VR. It's a game. I can wait :)
FS2020 was a huge disappointment for me. The graphics look wonderful, but the depth of simulation, especially of the cockpits, is low. Instead, casual gamers are kept entertained with unrealistic flying machines. FS2024 seems to continue this nonsense. I don't understand why the circle of ambitious sim pilots is simply left to Xplane.
Shame on asobo/ms… still no 3d weather radar support. This sim is so great but such an important part of flying is still no there… Really shame on asobo/ms… This is just redicules

They should resist releasing "half good" aircrafts that will make 3rd party developers not committing to make aircrafts that are already released. The sim needs very good addons from 3rd party devs and not "half good" ones from asobo. Milviz not committing to make their planned ATR comes to mind because asobo released their own ATR that are not very good. I would much much much more prefer an ATR made by milviz than the one we have from asobo. Get my drift?

In my opinion DLCs like the Dune DLC are unnecessary. I want to simulate real world aviation, not some science fiction.

Most 2020 addons will work with the new sim, and yes its a new standalone sim.

I think the Xbox push atm as it needs the work. The sim is not for the moment is not optimised for Xbox enough and they need to work on that.
