I would've coated the cake with one layer of frosting, put in the fridge for 20 minutes and then give another layer of chocolate. It's more presentable and it doesn't overwhelm the cake.

After you make the jam, pour it through a fine mesh strainer into another bowl. You'll need a rubber spatula to press it through. This will take a few minutes but it will go through with a little help. :)

For the recipe for chocolate frosting, i went on the link below, given for recipe of this cake.. it turns out to be the same for your ‘Epic chocolate cake’ video in which you demonstrated the frosting recipie. but this frosting is much lighter while the other one is darker.. (with 1/4 cup duch cocoa, 6 ounce cream cheese, 9 ounce bittersweet choc....so on), Can u plz clear the confusion.. im really looking for a lighter coloured frosting like this one. Thanks
Ro Steve Im sure that KitchenAid is good to use. I have seen many other people use it without wobbling. You can maybe ask for a test when you buy it to ensure theres no wobbling :)

Well Self-rising flour It is flour that has a leavening agent it includes baking powder and salt added to it its supposed to give a lift to your baked goods and then all purpose flour its for all purposes im sure and cake flour is for cakes O_o
People in the US also think raspberry is expensive? lol What do you think of us in Malaysia, getting 0.4 lbs of them for around $10? I seldom use raspberries unless it's unavoidable. Too expensive!
Correct, but the strain is from the mixer head hitting the bowl, which can be adjusted at the head, right? I've seen those things so out of assignment that the neck eventually snaps off from wear.
yes it is..everything with liquor is alcoholic..some essences are also alcoholic..i recommend use vanilla pod or other natural alternatives to flavor your cake.. hope that helps ;)
if you use a piping bag to pipe a ring of frosting around the cake layer before you fill it , that will help hold the filling in

Try to stir it vigurously in the sieve instead of trying to press it. And make sure it's still hot.

I think you could just leave the chocolate out and use only cocoa powder. I only use cocoa and it has a light color
