this video made the pattern so easy to follow and it was so informative and fun to watch!!! the kid I made the hat for is going to be so so happy!! thank you so much!!!!!
My grt grandson loves Bluey... This will be part of his Christmas. He was born 3-1/2 months early, weighed 1lb 13oz, and was 12-1/2 inches. He will be 3 at the end of Jan and is doing fantastic. Can't wait to see his face.
This was SO EASY it turned out amazing ! My toddler is going through a fussy hat phase and is refusing to wear it but I’ll jam it on his head one day 😂 thanks so much
I enjoyed making this but mine was also way too big. I’m not sure if it is the yarn I used or my tension. Oh well. I will try again with the toddler size. I think my granddaughter will love it.
@@PriscillasCraftShop The first section (midnight blue cap part) of Bluey in child size. After the 2DC, DC x 9 row. And thank you! I learned to crochet for this pattern. So fun!
Ok yes you are going to join with a slst using the light blue. I tell you not to join with a slst so that I can show you my method for the color change. This is once you get to row 13
@@PriscillasCraftShop Thanks for your patience. I'm still on the end of row 10 and have two more rows before I add the light blue. When I try to continue to the next line of DCs (for the start of row 11) without a slip stitch I get a big hole stretching from the end of row 10 to the start of row 11. The instructions say to join without a slst. I hope I'm describing things clearly. Thank you!!
Hello, for that age, I would do another increase of (2dc, dcx10) for a total of 72 dc for 14 rounds in dark blue. And rows 15-17 in light blue. Ear flaps would be with 28 sts skipped
Hi , i am making a bingo hat for my grand baby girl , there is 6 colors for bingo hat , 9 bluey had only 5 colors can you explain for me , i am lost 🙄, Thank you
Yes bingo has carrot, blush, heather, brown, white and black. Bluey has midnight navy, light blue, gold, white and black. Bingo has one more color simply bc her nose is brown, whereas I made Bluey’s nose the midnight navy
@@OhElviraI didn’t ask you 😊 and this comment is a month old ! This was my first time trying to crochet anything. She didn’t have a problem with me asking why should you !
I have a video for 6-12 months and then a toddler one. This size might be too big depending on the head size. I’d head measures 20” or less I would do the toddler version.
@@PriscillasCraftShop oh wow I just noticed that they were 2 separate videos, I don’t know why I thought that haha. Thank you for clearing that up and thanks for the free pattern, I’m excited to make this!
Yes, you can take an I hook, and after the increase round of (2dc, dc x 9) you are going to work one more increase of (2dc, dc x 10) for a total of 72 dc. Do dark blue for rows 1-14, lighter color for rows 15-17. All accents can be worked the same with an I hook.
Hey, you can definitely do cotton worsted weight #4 that’s the most important part that’s it’s worsted weight #4. You can absolutely look up the ones I used and see what’s comparable to those
My grandson is five made it exactly and it fit him perfectly 🎉
I hope he knows how lucky he is to have a grandma like you ❤️
Thank you for the pattern! I made one for my nephew as a Christmas gift and it turned out great!

This is an amazing pattern. Thank you so much. I am stuck on line 10, where you don't join with a slst. Could you explain what that looks like?

The total number of double crochets in each round does not include the chain two right ?
No, the chain 2 doesn’t count
She says it so many times

Mines come out big enough for an adult, how can I make it smaller for my 5year old please? Love the pattern and very easy to follow
Maybe go down a hook, or try the toddler size to see if that one fits better
@@PriscillasCraftShopwhat does go diwn a hook mean? I am a newbie to. Crochet

Just an FYI bluey is a girl 🫣 not trying to be rude.
Thank you!! Ahh I know this now…maybe I didn’t then. Did I refer to her and a boy? 🙊 sorry (definitely no offense taken)
This is definitely not a child size. You shouldn’t have increased two more rows after row 7. Not a hook size problem it’s the pattern.
Is there a Written pattern for this hat?
Yes, on my website www.priscillascraftshop.com and the pdf version for sale on my Etsy. (Same name)
