We eagerly await the names of famous popular singers whose vibrato goes up like your example. Why would anyone want to practice an upward-moving vibrato when it actually relaxes downward about a half-step? And why NOT have a "controlled" vibrato? Every popular singer has one, not like a Barbra Streisand or Josh Grobhan who have succeeded DESPITE their uncontrolled "natural" vibrato.
I have the opposite problem, a vibrato that is natural and a bit too wide. It's not wobbly, and I can sing some tenor arias pretty well. However, I can control it somewhat, but not well enough for quiet passages where it is really not wanted. Thoughts?
