he BMW Z4 3.0si Coupe with a manual transmission (828 units in North America) is a standout rarity: - **BMW Z8**: Even rarer with 2,543 units in the U.S., underscoring the exclusivity of both models. - **Audi R8 V10 Manual (First Gen)**: The Z4 is rarer in North America among only 828 units. - **Chevrolet Corvette C6 ZR1**: Fewer units compared to the ZR1's 4,684 units, the Z4 Coupe maintains a unique appeal. - **Lotus Exige S (North America)**: With similar limited numbers, the Z4 highlights BMW's exclusivity among only 828 units. - **Dodge Viper (Final Gen)**: The Z4's scarcity outpaces this iconic American sports car's approximately 2,000 units, making it a prized addition for collectors and enthusiasts.
I have an 07 one of these of which I have owned for 3 years. Its absolutely awesome and its a keeper. However I wouldn't call it entry level and place it alongside a " miata " - it's an mx5 here in the uk. The " miata " as I'm sure as much of a great entry level sports car that it is - is a notch under the z4. For a start it dosen't have the straight 6 that the BMW has and is probably not quite as classy. Good review though!
I definitely agree with you about the Mx5 or Miata being a notch below the Z4. 100%. The Z4 has a lot more to offer. Not just as far as performance but also luxury. The Z4 is prettier and much more comfortable. I'd honestly put the Z4 above almost all the cars in its class. I just try not to give owners bias 😂 Thanks for the comment!!
Absolutely love me the e85 z4. I ended up selling mine recently for an e89 35i manual and they are completely two different cars. Love both of them equally though.
Had mine for a year. Love it. Daily drive mine in Southern California. Pure Joy.
