you've got the gift of gab, listening to you casually chit-chat as you cook takes me back to comfortable, relaxing days in my grandma and grandpa's kitchen
Ms. Talli, I’m 56 years old now, & I’ve tried everything to try & like liver, & have been unsuccessful thus far. I wanted to love it though, I really did.
I make liver and onions on the same basis, I just don’t cook mine as long, but if I ever make them again I will. I live alone with arthritis and can’t cook much anymore. But girl you got this dish for sure,I love to watch you in the kitchen. God bless you.
We like liver and onions too. I have never added left over coffee to the gravy. Will give it a try. I also use milk in my gravy sometimes. Looks yummy! Thanks for sharing😊❤🥰
I'm the only one that liked liver in my family except for my mom. And none of my friends like it. It seems like every time I mention liver they're like ew 🤢. I have no idea why. I cook beef liver in butter and with onions and it's delicious. I also like chicken livers. Anyway Talli, I was happy to see that you had a recipe for this! 👍❤️
The not wanting to eat it after you've had to fondle it and smell yourself, 😂😂😂😂😂. I feel that, but liver is good and so very nutritious. ❤ We use gloves to fondle it. 🤣 Thank you for another fantastic, delicious meal video! You are the best and my personal very favourite cooking guru! Much love! Have a great rest of the week and weekend! ❤
That was my mom's favorite, she cooked it the same way, loaded with onions. Delish. ❤simple seasoning is best, you can taste your food. Thank you, my sista❤
That’s a lot full of pure goodness right there. I love me some Liver and Onions. I was saying today that I’m cooking liver and onions for the whole family on Sunday. All I use is salt and pepper too. Oh that looks AMAZING. 😋😋😋😋
Dear Friend, my sister (my best friend) and I loved liver and onions. We used to go to a restaurant in our town, every Thursday and have it, it was fabulous! My sis was murdered in Nov 1978, she was 28 yrs old and I haven’t been able to eat it since then😢. I really don’t know why but it was something special, she and I did every week ❤. I still like it, just haven’t had it since then Your KeyLime friend 💕🙏🙏
Oh no !… I am so sad to hear anything like that… Well don’t let my video stir up any hurtful feelings of such a sad time… I’m sorry and lift you up in my prayers 🙏🏻💕🙏🏻
I understand compleatly about the smell on your hands, I love hamburgers specially fast food hamburgers but I have to run and wash my hands as soon as I'm done
Back, way back in the day, I was 8, and have never forgot....my mother told me on my plate was fried round steak and mashed potatoes. I took a bite of the "steak" and it was liver...then took a big bite of mashed potatoes to kill the taste of the liver...oh my mom told a big one that night...it was mashed turnips. I gagged and left the table. No supper that night. Parents, grandparents loved the stuff.
No body here will eat it my husband passed in 05 and it was about a year before that was the last time I had any but you cooked yours just like I did and that how I did my onions also love ya
look by the meat counter next to the chicken, there should be small containers of chicken livers,my favorite, also ask the meat man . try to get chicken livers or calfs liver, beef liver is rather tough.good luck
Haha. I was taught to eat every food that somebody provided and I would eat liver and onions … In someone else’s home or an emergency. Lol. But, you cook everything up real good!!!! We never had that when I was growing up but I ate it at friends house because you should. And, I would again. 😀
I have a couple questions do you thaw your liver first before you soak it in the heavy whipping cream and then before you cook do you drain the liquid or will the liver soak up the cream? I grew up eating liver and onions cause it was a cheap meal and I’ve always loved it.
I love good ole liver and onions. My Mom would fry up some bacon and use the grease to fry them up and then serve the bacon on top. Unfortunately, the liver always triggers a gout attack for me, so I had to stop making it. 🥴
Your dish looks delicious! But I have never liked liver and I was kinda made eat this as a child often and I hated the taste. But your recipe looks great if you like it.
I love liver. I’m so old that when I was growing up it was thought that liver should be eaten once a week. The big difference now since veal is not eaten much is that calves liver is not available. That was what I really loved. Also, people complain about the cost of food and liver of any kind is very inexpensive. You always look lovely as you are. You always make me feel better. Believe it or not raw flour can make you sick. Look it up and do your own research. What they won’t tell you is that during storage it can be susceptible to insects that may carrry salmonella. I know it’s gross. In fact that’s why eating raw cake and cookie dough is not advised. People think it’s because of raw eggs, but they have improved the safety of eggs. It’s the flour that can carry anything that roaches may carry. Yes pork liver is gross to me, too. If you ever get a chance to buy some Vidalia onions, please do. If they’re the real ones they ooze sugar. They’re flat on top and bottom, not round. Sometimes here in Texas I see what they are calling Vidalia onions, but they’re not. They have to come from a very limited region of Georgia. Most of them are sold to France and never go to market in the United States. They can be eaten like an apple. They make an excellent accompaniment to liver since their sweetness counteracts the bitterness of the liver.

That looks DELICIOUS Ms Faye!!!
Thank ya 🥰
if you put bay leaf and cumin wont be half bad
I am the only one in my family that likes liver and onions. I don't get to enjoy it very often.
Yes, most families are like that about liver lol … We enjoy it only a couple times a year ourselves 😊
Tallie Fay love it
Looks delicious but i can't find any liver in my
Store i just don't understand that
Thank you for sharing
Whattt??!!… Isn’t that crazy!
look by the meat counter next to the chicken, there should be small containers of chicken livers,my favorite, also ask the meat man . try to get chicken livers or calfs liver, beef liver is rather tough.good luck

We eat it bout three times a year 😉
I marinate mine in buttermilk
I have a couple questions do you thaw your liver first before you soak it in the heavy whipping cream and then before you cook do you drain the liquid or will the liver soak up the cream?
I grew up eating liver and onions cause it was a cheap meal and I’ve always loved it.
If I soak it in milk or cream I just take it straight from that and dredge it in my flour and toss the milk/cream
I love liver and onions and all the gravy over mashed taters!!
I love good ole liver and onions. My Mom would fry up some bacon and use the grease to fry them up and then serve the bacon on top. Unfortunately, the liver always triggers a gout attack for me, so I had to stop making it. 🥴
Oh my!!!… What a bummer!!… It’s good but it certainly isn’t worth a gout flair up🥹
Uuummmm yeah! 😊😊😊😊
YUMMY😊😊😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Don't be scared lol
For got to we love tallie Fay too
Lol 😂 …♥️♥️♥️
Your dish looks delicious! But I have never liked liver and I was kinda made eat this as a child often and I hated the taste. But your recipe looks great if you like it.
I know what you’re saying!… We eat it only a couple times a year and enjoy it but we don’t want it on a regular basis lol
Do you get regular liver or calves liver?
A lot of folk seeing you with the wire whisk in that nonstick pan….. 😂😂😂
I love liver. I’m so old that when I was growing up it was thought that liver should be eaten once a week. The big difference now since veal is not eaten much is that calves liver is not available. I must ask, are you from Oklahoma or Texas? I'm an Okie.
Texas 😊
I’m an Okie too!
I've never ate it with gravy, I love ketchup on mine
Oh another thing, I like that you cook with gas. You just can’t beat cooking with gas.
I love liver and onions... if you think the beef liver is too overpowering then use calf liver... plus calf liver is more tender...
not only do you have the smell on your hands but the liver will dry your hands and make them itch and kinda burn...
never thought to put coffee in the gravy... sounds interesting...
I forgot I have some calf liver in the freezer... liver and onions here we come...
🤣♥️🤣♥️
just had a thought...cream of mushroom soup..
Absolutely!😊
Where is part 2?
Tally thanks it’s been a rough weet
Prayers that you receive comfort my friend 🙏🏻😊♥️
