Good thing I haven't started my build yet (waiting for warmer weather) and thank you for playing our guinea pig :).

LOL - it's been a frustrating journey thus far! Thankful for all the feedback I'm getting, but yea, some rework this week.

Hi again - I may still be confused 🤔, but glad I posted the video before plunging ahead and creating more rework. I think the final answer is, don't trust the manual!

    Hi,
The way I see it is that the CV-2 boots are for the back ( in and outside) see page 18, and the CV-1 boots are for the front ( in and outside) see page 24, revised version

Hi: So I'm wrong on the inner and outer boots being different sizes, but I thought we were saying CV-1 is for the rear and CV-2 is for the front. I think @grahameaves3298 is pointing out the manual has them reversed and the smaller ones (CV-1) should be on the rear. This is my first F1 so my knowledge is truly limited and further hampered by poor instructions. 😕

On the rear drive shafts the CV boots don't fit on the gold disc carriers, the fit directly to the discs. Boots are all small on rear axle and all large on front (where the boot does fit to the gold disc carrier).

F1 is so not my expertise! LOL! Thanks again for the input. For some reason, I was certain the inner and outer boots were different sizes. You just saved me (and others) from another mistake!! 🤗

Can you please provide the Amazon link to the micro tap set you mentioned? Thanks.

Hi: Here is the link. I'm still looking for a decent tap handle. The one I have won't cinch down on the smallest ones, but I might be able to use a pin vise instead.

@@splashbakermodelbuilding Remember to use oil, tap a few threads and back it out (to clear shavings) and then a few more threads and repeat.
