Hi Billy ‼️ You are right but, make sure you mask the gasket and compression bowl area well - Do you happen to have an 18CV-R? Thanks for watchn’ and for taking the time to write 🩷
OS did and still makes some of the best engines. The CV-R line up is a great middle ground between their vintage CV basher line and their Full Race engines. - The 18CV-R is a special engine that some many know and love. It’s great to be able to work on them, bring them back to life and share with everyone 💜 Thanks for the comment and watchn’ David
@a2rc yes I learned alot from ur video did know there was two versions of it Mines got the blue head I bought it about two months ago. It has never been started. I just took it apart today and cleaned it and oiled it! I think to it will be a awesome upgrade!!
@a2rc I m sorry I meant to say I didn't know there was two versions of that engine lol Thank u I will take good care of it! I always take my engine's apart and clean and oil them new or used. Are u working on any new videos?
Awsome engine. I have 3....2 bump and 1 pull start. I also see you have the same top plate that I have on 1 of my rs4. Do you know what brand they are? Awsome videos!!!! Blessed day too you!
@@julito3054 Ohh that’s awesome that you have and love the OS 18CVR 💯 Tons of power for what they are I don’t believe this particular vid shows a car with an upper deck/top plate so, which one are you referring to? Purple, carbon..? - I’ll definitely help you out with the brand once I know which you’re asking about Thanks again for the support and for watchn’ 🩷
@ Ahh. If you’re talking about the silver in color RS4 then, that upper deck is a Hard Core Racing (HRC). It is made of titanium. That car had a number of HRC parts on it. - I have not done a full video on that car yet. At times I put a poll on the channels community page for people to vote on which car they want to see next. We just haven’t gotten to the “Silver RS4” yet Hope that helps a bit
Awesome Engine man !! Makes me want to run my O.S. Max CVR.12 engine that I have in the Kyosho V one RR. The engine is still breaking in, but I just got 12qts of 30/8 Bones Brew to run it on when it finished breaking in with the 20/12 Bones Brew. I was thinking about mixing the two blends of fuel I have from Bones Brew, what do you think? I was thinking if might make a 25/10 blend, which might be the perfect blend for me, but idk really., any thoughts? I'm excited to see your new build., and how the engine performs... Great video, Bud, keep it up 👍
Ty Ty. OS has always made some nice engines (in all price ranges). - Since the fuel is from the same manufacture I would say it is fine to mix them (I may not recommend mixing large qty of fuels from others manufactures). The oil package would be the same so, just shake them up well before you do and do a 50/50 mix. - I’m interest to hear how that goes. Maybe drive a little bit (Re tune for each type) on each type of fuel to see the differences. Would be a fun little test As always, thanks so much for the comment and for watchn’
Awesome engine I’ve managed too snag a brand new one of these with the silver head I wanna put it in my HPI. WR8 would this have any benefit over the force 18 as you have both thought I’d ask awesome content as always man love your channel
Hey Joe! Sorry your message got lost in the mix. Very sorry about that! Thank you for the kind words and I'm happy you are enjoying the vids. I apprecite you watchn' - The 18CVR will be a great addition to your WR8. From my testing, the CVR and the force 18s (There are a few flavors as you know), the CVR edges most of them out or are very similar in their power out put. Both would be good choices but, you get extra "cool" points with the CVR! lol I am most interested in the 18R that we will be doing an overview on an upcoming Engine overview but, you can't beat the Silver on Silver for the V1-18CVR (the 18R black on black looks good too). - The 18CVR is one of my favorite engines. Have you ran/owned one before this? - I can't wait to hear what you think about it. Please let me know how things go!

Thanks for the question and for watchn’ ‼️ -99% of the time a Standard crank style is what you want for a RS4. For belted RS4s you will need a 2Speed pilot shaft/flywheel nut for the 2Speed bell, etc. depending on which bell you use for shaft cars, you may end up using a single speed pilot shaft for the 2 speed bell. Just for info.
Hi Jason Not at this time but, I appreciate you asking. - I’m guessing you are into vintage nitro also? What kind of car/trucks do you have? Thanks for watchn’ 🩷
@@jasondubur647 For vintage Touring cars with a 2 Speed, you can’t go wrong with a belted 1/10 Nitro RS4 (Racer, Racer 2, RTR, RTR2, etc). The drive and handle much better than the shaft cars and other belted cars from its time. You could put a lot of power to the ground in one with the 18CVR - You can always go with a race kit/version car too.
