This has to be a joke considering that the penguins worst contract isn’t jarry or Carter. Jarry is either a brick wall or can’t stop a beach ball. And Carter is a literal pylon out there in every category.
Nah Jarry has played pretty good for the most part despite his losing record. He’s only had 3 very bad starts and 5 others that were mediocre. And with Carter, his contract expires after this year.
Doughty and burns don’t belong to that list. Also, I don’t understand why you measure def value with point scoring. Yes points are important but the defensive aspect of a defensemen is the part you should evaluate
The fact that you didn’t put Jeff Carter on here is a joke. 38 years old, 2 years, 6.25M and a no movement and no trade clause. 10 games played, 0 points. And last year, had less than 30. Meanwhile, Karlsson is 5 years younger, coming off of his 3rd Norris and a 100+ Pt season, and is already better than a point her game so far this season. Nobody in Pittsburgh expected primarily defense from Karlsson. Literally his entire selling point was his offensive abilities.
@@blakeattig5426 This guys argument centered around a guy who’s barely halfway through his FIRST SEASON on a new team and literally argued in “what ifs” and “could bes” with Karlsson. Not what actually is. Erik is tied for 4th all time in Norris trophy winners and still has gas in the tank. No defenseman playing today can say the same thing. He didn’t need 101 points to win the Norris any other time. Aside from last year, he won one in 2012 with 78 points and the other in 2015 with 66 points, which he is on pace for right now. It’s not like his last notable award was several seasons ago. Carter is the reason we couldn’t keep good depth on the roster that was outperforming him like Zucker. He’s been bad for a while. Way better options with no clause and half the price.
No I’m sorry Nurse is just a worst contact for what he actually does for the Oilers. Kane actually scores and Nurse while being a defender is horrendous in his own end

Kyle Palmari is a bad deal for the Islanders. We need to let him go. We have long term deals but this is a bad one that will be bad. We need to move on from him.
No offence. But picking Skinner over oloffson is actually horrible. Skinner has the 3rd most 5v5 goals in the past 2 seasons. This is very embarrassing and I’m concerned about your hockey knowledge
First off, it’s CANADIENS*** Second, Gallagher’s contract is way way worse than Anderson’s… Finally, how can you say Kane’s worse than Nurse’s? It’s probably top 3 league-wide but not top for the oilers? Come on..!
The penguins are only paying Karlson 8 million a year because they got SJ to retain 20% of his salary. So how will that contract look at 8 million over 4 years for the reigning Norris trophy winner after he's gotten used to being on the penguins. It's only 10 games into the season. If that's the worst contract on Pittsburgh's books they don't have one. Sid and Geno make about the same. Let's just give it half a season before we start throwing around "worst" contract labels. I mean if he sux Pittsburgh could trade him for an absolute ransom if they agreed to retain $1 million of his contract. They've got $3.5 million in cap space and if they traded Karlson for a slew of picks and prospects they could have almost 10 million in cap space to work with this off-season. Then they could sign or trade for a real goalie.
Ok so if they traded him now they could have almost 14 million in cap space. That buys a great starting goalie and a decent backup. Why not dump this guy?

To be fair, it was still very early to judge PLD’s contract at the time this video was made.
Bro has actually no idea what he’s talking about. Not mentioning nurse? Saying the red wings have a bunch of bad contracts on the books? The wings have so much cap space it’s insane.
I would say Darnell Nurse for the oilers is a terrible contract.
Oilers should be Jack Campbell
Anyone else notice how the contracts he has on screen don’t match the ones he says? And that he doesn’t say how much the total contract is? Just what’s remaining, and even that is wrong a lot.
Some awful takes here
Pierre-Luc Dubois is the worst contract on the Kings. 8.5mil to play 3rd line center at .4PPG and he's got 8 years left.
Did you forget about Jack Campbell? Clearly the worst for Edmonton.
Adin Hill for Vegas was a great signing! They won the cup and are looking good for a repeat. Lehner over Fleury was their big mistake.
If Logan Thompson is are number 1 goalie then I don’t believe we will repeat, the saves HILL made in the playoffs I’ve never seen Thompson make saves like that.and I don’t recall a team winning a cup back to back with another goalie in net, which kinda sounds concerning to me in my opinion.so if you disagree that HILL is definitely deserving and worth number 1 goalie then I don’t know what playoffs you watched, cause he’s the one who helped led us to the cup yall.with miraculous saves, that paddle of the stick save was the best ever ,those happened before yes but HILL’s was the best cause he was out of the crease and still saved the puck i mean that puck was going in.
hey flames fans liking that trade for mr cant score 115 points again
Jamie Benn's 76 million albatross with a no move clause was a fucking mistake.
For me the worst contract for the capitals is backstrom he’s production sucks and he’s far from his Stanley cup form.
the fact Tyler Myers isnt on here tells you how bad this is
Colton parayko’s name is pronounce par-aye-ko
Did I really hear : “The GM Jason Botterelli (sic)?”
Why Evander Kane when there's Jack Campbell?
Or Nurse
Carters contract expires after this season lmao.
He's been bad for years big dawg @@blakeattig5426
Also I would say that considering Karlsson got over 100 points on the SHARKS!!! I think he should be credited a bit more and while yes the contract is bad for the future I would say it’s correct for what he does on the PP.
Don’t put ek as the worst contract. For now just give it to rutta
i believe rutta went the other way in that deal.
Mikhaev is sick. Our bad contract is Garland
9:46 boy as a Canucks fan they have no clue what the hell we have been through they got a cup in like 2008 😂😂
Ngl I think Nurse is a worse contract than Kane for the Oilers. Not to mention Jack Campbell
Kyle Palmari is a bad deal for the Islanders. We need to let him go. We have long term deals but this is a bad one that will be bad. We need to move on from him.
Palmeri > Lee by a longshot
Evander currently has more points than one Connor McDavid, what the h*** man? Also, Nurse and Campbell play in Edmonton.
Adin hill and Logan Thompson have kinda fallen into a tandem roll. I think it works well.
Can't play effective defense any more :D Since when did Karlsson play effective defence?!
Jeez what a butchering Parayko and his last name: also, Colt 55 had the benefit of being paired with Bouwmeester to enhance his d abilities.
When did contracts get so bad holy
Hurricanes fan, I'm ok with Burns. I like Orlov too but he's certainly overpaid.
Its kk without any doubt
PLEASE COME TO OUR GAAAAAMES!
Wasn’t burns a norris trophy candidate costing less than 5.5 mil? Bad take bro
NOTHING the Blackhawks do makes a damn bit of sense.
Colton Pie-arko
No offence. But picking Skinner over oloffson is actually horrible. Skinner has the 3rd most 5v5 goals in the past 2 seasons.
This is very embarrassing and I’m concerned about your hockey knowledge
Evander Kane over THE WORST CONTRACT IN NHL- NURSE!? I shut off the video. I like the Kane contract.
Campbell contract is worse then kanes
nurse and soupy deal is hilariously bad
Coyle just got a hat trick..... that didnt age well
Didnt know about the italian gm jason butterelli
With Campbell and Nurse on the Oilers, you choose KANE???? This is a joke 😂😂
First off, it’s CANADIENS***
Second, Gallagher’s contract is way way worse than Anderson’s…
Finally, how can you say Kane’s worse than Nurse’s? It’s probably top 3 league-wide but not top for the oilers? Come on..!
Lol did you genuinely mention that EK was a minus? He played for the sharks of course he was a minus. Wtf
Doughty isnt a point getter man. Hes an ealite minute eater.
Grubauer is my favourite player😭😭😭
Bruh, how can you point at Karlsson over Jeff Carter?
They pay him 10 million a year idiot
He made 11.5 million
Ok so if they traded him now they could have almost 14 million in cap space. That buys a great starting goalie and a decent backup. Why not dump this guy?
#get rid of Karlson already
how are you not going to pick price because he's on ltir but then pick norris????
23:36 bro got the length and price just completely wrong on the screen
Same with Tavares contract lol
I disagree the worst contract on the Pittsburgh penguins right now is Tristan jarry cause he sucks and we are giving him like 6 million
Tell that to the Avs, who he blanked.
He's only being paid 4.5M. 😂😂
@@loganmclarry did you not see how he played against the SENATORS?
