This is the last Wham! song George wrote (The edge of heaven was written in 1985). Sad they didn't make a video clip back then. The only video that exists is the live performance from the Final concert and we all hope to be released or to be uploaded here.

I remembered this song after I saw the wham special on netflix.i used to work at the warehouse records store in Fullerton ca..in 1985, when this album came out in 86 it was following up the album with wake -me up, and careless whisper.we would play this album and this was my favorite off this album.i loved the lazy sexy sax.everbody would ask me who it was .I would tell them listen to the voice .it's George michaels, duh.!!😅😊

I loved this tune back then in '86. I was 13. I only had an old record player that I could hardly even "scratch" with without it jumping around on the record and an old cassette recorder and I never did anything like this before or after ever, but I remember making a sort of a "maxi single" by cutting out very tiny bits of the parts around the drum part and congos at 3.10-3.25... Must have sounded really awful to others, but I remember winding up with something I liked by making the drum go "up and down" a couple of times and adding a few congo bits. I guess I was sampling it many years before I found out a little more about what that was :-)

I'm a fan of all genres of music, Indie rock metal funk reggae and I've never got why people feel the need to have any music as a guilty pleasure, if it floats your boat or it touches your heart who cares. In fact as the track ended k immediately remembered it being on a mix tape me & my mates made , playing it on his ghetto blaster 😆 walking down Ryde high street on holiday 1986 and the next track was Novelty by Joy Division.
