I'm glad Luffy had a speech, It shows how much he understands the situation and how far he has grown mentally.
But it was also hype as hell 🔥🔥🔥
He always has been very perspective and intelligent on why things happens and what he should do, but now in Wano more than ever you can see his determination and drive to end the torment this people have been endured for 20 whole years, he’s literally carrying the will of a man he never even met.
The most underrated part is 1:39, when Kinemon cries, it feels like he has finally found the salvation for Wano, the one man who can take down Kaido after all the pain and suffering he's caused
Suddenly, the big monster that cannot be defeated by anybody is now faced with somebody who can actually take him down at long last
The best part? Kin has observation haki, so he definitely felt all that go down. Yk if he could’ve walked and talked he would’ve been cheering like a cheerleader at a pep rally

Crunchyroll don’t have a choice my dad works in the Legal field so basically toei could sue for whatever reason because they changed the name from the original one piece to roof piece if u see any of crunchy rolls videos they are allowed to title it any way they want to but it must include the actual name of the anime within the title

True. Zoro has believed in luffy from the very beginning in East Blue. His dream is to be the greatest swordsman, he would never follow someone who didnt have greater ambitions than he does.
I loved how Kid looked surprised and then they panned to Zoro and Law looking all swag. They have seen and know the miracles Luffy can bring. This is the first taste, to Kid's eyes, on what Luffy is capable. This arc has been pretty damn teasing and long but I cannot wait to see how it ends.

The fact that kaido thought he could tank luffys punch just makes it all more satisfying when kaido gets drop to the ground so hard and fast that is surprises big mom and him

Extremely well done scene. Kaido has been invincible, untouchable, and this attack felt overwhelmingly powerful.
It’s like Goku managed land a hit on Frieza. The monster that the heroes had been losing to suddenly didn’t feel so scary.

Besides the incredible animation (which everyone is already prasing, and rightly so), let's take a moment to appreciate Ms. Mayumi Tanaka, Luffy's VA, for absolutely killing it on every single word she said during this episode. This episode wouldn't be the same without her.

1:07 The way that Luffy says Gomu-Gomu here and the angle that he's positioned at in the air reminds me a lot of when he faced down the 3 Admirals at Marineford with a Gum-Gum Stamp Gatling. In Marineford he failed to save Ace, but here he got a bit of revenge for Ace by knocking down Kaido (since Ace was never able to return to Wano to defeat Kaido).

Easily the most visually appealing episode I’ve seen in a long time, they truly kicked it up a couple notches didn’t they.

I love the bit at 1:53 where Big Mom and Kaido both turn to look at Luffy as he talks. The way their faces are shaded reminds me of the first OP when the different arc villains had their faces flash on the screen all framed in shadow. Oh how far we’ve come…

This one piece episode had me tearing up no lie... masterpiece.
This episode adapted the latter half of the hallmark 1000th chapter so it's really awesome to see anime only fans go through the same feelings that us readers went through reading it. It's beautiful isn't it?
This episode is a masterpiece. It accomplishes so much and it does so organically. When it shows all the events that lead to this moment, I couldn't help but get chills. Especially since we were seeing snippets from Luffy's point of view. What really makes that aspect special for me, is that I don't often view the story through the eyes of a singular character so I don't typically know what some characters know and don't know. For example; Luffy never listened to Nami's backstory when Nojiko was talking about it so he doesn't know anything about it. Anyway, this scene was a reminder how far we have come since then and it really lays down the payoff in front of us. This is by far the best episode of One Piece to date and I imagine it will reign in the top 5 episodes by the time One Piece ends too.

Bro, same. When he cut off Kin'emon as he was about to say please, and just said of course he would, because it was his friend's country, the tears started and wouldn't stop. Such a pure answer and exactly why we love Luffy.
Also the voice of Kin'emon just before he passes out - the tone of it was just so epic. The feels are unreal this episode.

They not only did justice to the adaptation of charpter 1000, but also made it the best episode of the show so far

That's his Captain, the man he's pledged his life to, and this is just another reason why. The man who can do what Luffy just did is deserving of his respect.

Edit: After punching Kaidou, the whole lightning changes - the ("real") sun starts illuminating in the background, calling upon the new dawn.

The animation team went hard for this episode. It looks better than most of their movies. Heck, it even looked better than episode 1000. They earned that break for next week.

Everything about this scene is perfect from the shock on Big Moms face, to Zoros smile, to the brief flashback to his brothers final moments
I come back to watch this about once a week.
When you have a story built around over 1000 episodes, with hundreds of characters, stories, themes, emotions, all lead and build up, complied to the first opening music theme of "We Are", you know you have something truly masterful, beautiful and totally epic, that will be a moment that will go down in anime history; this right here, is the result!!!!

This is one of the greatest episodes of anime I’ve ever seen. If not THE greatest.
The best part of this is Big Mom has fought Luffy , relatively recently, and she saw how much stronger he was when he punched Kaido. It must've concerned more than a little at just how much stronger Luffy is.
That voice acting for Luffy though! Mayumi Tanaka put all her emotions into this and it shows. What a phenomenal performance!
It makes me really so happy that a community term such as “Roof Piece” has become the official term for this portion of the story

What I enjoy about this clip is that the flashback sequence perfectly illustrates the Straw Hats' mentality.
They have no personal stake in the conflicts of the lands they visit.
But if they see people suffering, they can't help but get involved to help save that land.

@@Oboreru493 here’s the pacing excuses. You guys use the same excuses every time like aren’t you tired? The huge majority don’t see any problems with it for the majority of the time in Wano but you gotta bring some nonsense. You want to rate pacing for this episode, 10/10.
So stop being jealous that everyone voted this episode the best episode of One Piece and one of the best episodes in anime in general. This episode is FAR FAR BETTER than anything we’ve seen in the past thanks to our goddess Megumi Ishitani. You wanted to know why it’s great, there you go. Not to mention thanks to the great animators that accompanied her along this journey, it blew EVERY SINGLE episode on OP out of the water

When zoro gripped his sword when kinemon was Injured, I felt that
im pretty sure zoro gripped his sword when luffy started to walk up to big mom and kaido
@@akumablood1509 he did, but there’s a moment when we see kinemon crying in front of luffy that makes zoro grip his sword even tighter, I guess due to the fact that he really feels for kinemon and is both sad and angry to see how injured kaido left him and everyone else
