So, about the Biblical Nephilim. Due to various pieces of entomology, history, and translations, it appears that the Nephilim were initially meant to be the legendary heroes of other mythologies. The more you know.
@@markusnavergard2387 Kind of? God didn't really have kids, Old Testament wise, for... Reasons which should be clear. However, the Nephilim *would* include the mythical offspring of lowercase g gods, as that wasn't an uncommon feature for great heroes. Think of Greek myth.
@@firetarrasque4667 yes he did. After the tower of babel he gave them their own territories to look after but in time they fell to the corruption of power due to being worshipped as gods deemed more worthy than YHWH by man. These gods include the ancient gods of every culture either seen as multiple entities while occasionally being understood as the same person. Like Jupiter and zuess. Oddly enough native American lore seems to cohesively agree to this claim along with various cultures that couldn't communicate with eachother
Did anyone else miss in the 1st Darksiders, that the charred council say that no seals were broken but yet they were broken. I just replayed the game and im like...how did I miss that clue that they lied.
Ulthane reforged the seals, before the Charred Council questioned War at early Darksider 1. I think War break 6 of 7 seals (The Chosen and Abaddon), while maybe Samael break one that shield the Black Throne from any outside entry?
@@robday3695 you i thought about what you said it could be right i mean: 1 seal for each Chosen, one that Samael destroys to get us to the Black Throne and the 7th at the end of the game after killing Abaddon
Darksiders 2 is one of my Favorites, Under Rated as HELL! #1 was ok for its day but all around Great story line alot to build off. #3 looks killer cant wait for release
Isaac is also a HUGE fan of Darksiders 2 and we are so excited to be able to start playing it for all of you. As for Darksiders 3, I'M SO PUMMPED! just hope we can get through all of 2 before 3 comes out so we can play it for the channel.
@@TrueMastersandMorons i'm 3 years late but yes you can before you can finish the game in less than 27 hours that's what i did i was lvl 21 when i defeated Absalom and i did side quest too before so you can probably do it in less than 24 hours As for Darksiders 1 i finished it 1st try on medium in 19 hours while looking for collectables
Here's a thought, what if the nephlim existed first, were split into the two Factions over the eons and lilith created a new generation of essentially throw backs by mingling the dust of angels and demons.
@@TrueMastersandMorons we could chock all this up to the fact they didn't think that far ahead since it was their first game and didn't expect to make a sequel
what i realized from the nephilim is that they are part Angel and demon and war and fury look more angel than demon and death and strife look more demon than Angel and both of them wore masks at all times. . .what are they hiding?
Death chooses to wear a mask out of shame for killing the Nephilim, and Strife probably wears his helmet because it’s technology advanced enough to aid him in fights. (I assume some sort of targeting system/thermal filter/x-ray vision.) I’m only going based off the line in Genesis where he says “Visor’s fogging up.” No idea why a mask would need a visor if it wasn’t offering some sort of secondary purpose.
@@bryguy1502 good point, but if anyone is wearing a mask out of shame, it's strife. He doesn't tell much but in genesis the mere mention or reminder of his past he shuts down a good bit, showing just how much he is terrorised by his past. He says that he was a killer, who killed for kicks essentially. "I didn't need a reason,I just enjoyed it" so he probably through either killing his race or some other event gained a conscious and put on a mask probably out of shame mostly
why does everyone miss the fact that the nephilims' march on eden was before mankind existed. the entire book "the obomination vault" takes place ling before the creation of mankind which was probably another reason absolom was so pissed. eden was being saved as a gift for a race that wasnt even born yet
We've never been clear on whether the Eden march was before mankind's existence or in their very early infancy. Though for the record we're not sure how much that matters. Either way the Nephilim oopsed and finally pushed the Council too far. Whether they tried to steal the world while humanity was in utero or when they were just barely born the results were the same. Though, again, we haven't looked into that too deeply, so if you've found that information somewhere, we believe you.
Good job guys! Keep it up!! All my questions about darksiders Lore been way more clear then they were before! Glad there's such nice channel like this!
I find it rather intriguing that in Darksiders 1 Uriel senses War and says something along the lines of, "Something older than Angels and Demons." And in the early comics, the Nephilim were Old Ones. I wonder if maybe the Horseman were meant to be literal embodiments of their namesakes in the original lore? Maybe the Nephilim as a whole were like that?
*There should be a novel or animated tv series based on the Nephilim first starting out on their campaign, starting before or after the construction of the Grand Abominations. We could see how VASTLY DIFFERENT War, Fury, Strife, and Death were back during their (quote-on-quote) 'glory days'.*
I can’t wait for Darksiders 3 I was so happy when they announced that they were going to continue the saga Haven’t play Darksiders 1 and 2 for a while decided to go play them again before the third one comes out
We're excited as well! That was the idea behind us doing the let's plays for Darksiders 1 and 2, hoping to get them finished before three comes out... we finished 1. Two is still in progress though, lol
True Masters and Morons-I hope this one sales I would love to play strife maybe the third one will tell us what happened to him and why he abandoned his weapons
Ok, Wait You forgot that Death killed all the other Nephilim and that is why he held their souls in the lantern. It was his curse, that he held the souls of his fallen brethren to remind him of his deed of killing them.
Death was supposed to destroy that amulet in the first place, and wipe the Nephilim from existence entirely. Instead he gave it to the CrowFather to hold onto before re-acquiring it at he beginning of Darksiders 2. So... he never really held it, so we wouldn't consider it a curse. But you are correct and we do mention in passing that the four horsemen slaughtered the rest of the Nephilim, sorry if we didn't detail that as well as we perhaps could have. But yes, he did indeed absorb all of those souls into the amulet.
Guys I know you are small so far but it was a great video and you definitely will grow 😉 By the way try using a bit more images don't vids like these and also whenever you put a still image on screen make so it slowly zooms in or out. It will create an effect that it's not still. Will give your videos more life. Good luck guys
The Nephalim started their war out of jealousy that the Kingdom of Man was given Eden when the Nephalim had no "home" of their own, so they wanted to take Eden for themselves.
The game's story tells us that the Nephilim had been burning their way across worlds for some time before Eden. Remember, the horsemen killed all of the Nephilim at the battle of eden. But they become horsemen because they'd grown weary of the slaughter their people were already making. For someone to get tired of something they have to have already been doing it awhile.
Before becoming a horsemen Strife probably killed for Lilith who was more or less the true master of the nephelim their mother while Death was a firstborn and close friend to Absolom but Strife instead knows the inner workings of the dark kingdom
We know the 5th installment of the Darksiders series was planned to be a 4 player co-op where the players are the horsemen. We like to believe that was going to be Horsmen VS Council.
You're welcome, and thank you. :) We endeavor to improve our videos with every week! If you have any particular advice or videos to suggest to look into we are more than willing to take a look.
Hey! Was wondering if you can cover lore from games like... - Devil May Cry - Bayonetta - Castlevania - Ninja Gaiden Even fighting games like... - Killer Instinct - Street Fighter - Tekken - Mortal Kombat - Soulcalibur - Bloody Roar

The first game had so much old texts esoteric creatures and symbology. The second one was great. The first almost felt like I was actually in that realm
Without looking into it further, our understanding is that the source of corruption was Absalom himself, we could be wrong, but we're pretty sure it was him and not humanity, since it's inferred corruption has been doing its thing for awhile, and Death's quest in Darksiders 2 takes place fairly shortly after the fall of mankind. Absalom says that he is not the source, but even if that's true, corruption would still have had to have been around before humanity's fall to absorb Absalom into it's service.
The corruption may very well be caused by the culmination of many things. Because of how timey-whimey Darksiders can be, the fall of mankind plays a part. But I also think Lucifer (aka The Prince of Lies) had a hand in it all.
I actually have a theory about the Crowfather based on the book. What if when we run into him in the beginning second game, he's not entirely himself? The Grand Abominations could mind control people in the novel to a very alarming extent. Able to hold a man upright, and force his arm up to shoot his own lover and almost Azreal too. Good thing Azreal came after the lover did, otherwise he'd be the dead one. Black Mercy shows this ability to bring about insanity to those who wield it as well. Which leaves the wielder susceptible to the abominations' influence. The Crowfather only has the amulet filled with the hateful Nephilim souls. However as we chase around his fortress, he taunts us. I don't think that's the Crowfather talking, after that crotchety old man hates visitors of any kind. Death especially. So why taunt him into following. The only reason I can think of, is the Nephilim souls force him to teleport away when Death gets close. Letting the Crowfather call for help in the only way he can now. Insane rambling about 'the voices'. The Nephilim don't have full control though, as the Crowfather's power is nigh absolute in his home. Hence why he's back to speaking somewhat sanely when we finally catch him before his boss fight. And if you notice after he dies and we find him in the city of the dead later, he's completely sane. Free of the amulet and the Nephilim's influence. I deduce that the Crowfather we meet in the beginning of the game is not only insane, but also being slightly influenced by the Nephilim's souls. The Nephilim basically became what the Ravaiim did. Hateful murderous souls with the power to influence all who come into contact with them. Unless they are someone like Death who can protect himself against them. Death can ward himself against the influence of the abominations, so of course his own brethren trying to influence him through the wound on his chest isn't going to work either. What do you think? Hope you like it. Took a while to come up with that one.
From what we remember the CrowFather was definitely influenced by the Nephilim, negatively, we'd never really considered it being a similar situation to the Ravaim though, which is definitely a fun idea, and not unreasonable considering the amulet holds the likely angry, souls of an entire race. Cool idea for sure, is it accurate we... we have no idea, lol
Two Men and a Mic I'm glad you like it regardless. Thanks for the insight. I have discussion ideas for days about this game. Even found a channel that discusses characters in games having possible mental problems. Kratos being the most notable that I recall. But me and the channel creator discussed what mental issue Death may have. I have done a bit of digging and came to conclusion that Death may or may not have PTSD. Due to his demeanor, how angry he gets when the past is brought up, how quick he is to protect his siblings(even if it's not really needed). He had a few symptoms as well when I looked those up and compared them to his character and how he acts.
I can definitely see that from a psychological stand point he certainly displays many of the traits commonly associated with PTSD. But as we have not yet finished the books we couldn't 100% agree nor disagree.
We start with Google. Any sites that actually link to original sources are a good place to go, well-maintained wiki's and such. Then delve deeper from there, check all the cross-references to get the whole picture, watch videos, etc. So to answer your question... the internet, ;p If you're really interested in reading backstory though, check out the comics and the book. Plenty of cool stuff there.
This might be old and you might have talked on this on another video but why was war summoned in the first place if the final seal was not broken in the first Darksiders
We haven't covered that actually. But that subject is actually broached before the first Darksiders game ends. So feel free to come watch our let's plays, we're not there yet, but we're getting close. ;p
Two Men and a Mic I saw another video it was the council's idea I beat the game 3 times already and don't really recall everything trying to actually finish Darksiders 2 Definitive Edition my Playstation 3 got the blinking light I lost everything
Abbadon conspired with Lucifer to start the end war prematurely and this became out of the Charred Council’s control - they couldn’t stop it. So they sent War to get involved only to fuel his quest for vengeance to clear his name after being wrongly accused. It was the Council’s attempt to maintain power in a universe that was beginning to reveal how weak the Council really was.
IF the games get the support they need from us the fans and THQNordic continues with THQ's original plan for the series we should see a minimum of 2 more games. Darksiders 4 following a solo story of Strife, And Darksiders 5 a 4 player co-op game that would take place after the events of Darksiders 1 thus being the "Newest" game in the series while also being the one set in the most future part of the series. (based on the fact that some of the original devs for Darksiders 1 and 2 where brought in, we see that as a high chance of happening) WE WANT THAT TO HAPPEN! We have been wanting a 4 player co-op of Darksiders since we beat Darksiders 1. But we definitely don't want to gyp strife of a story.
odnamra arreug95 unfortunately I think the reason we know little about him is because there is little to know other than he has twin pistols, one of which makes its way to death
Agreed, Strife rarely appears in the comics (seriously like 5 or six panels) and he appears briefly in the book. There's so little information about him that we don't think we could make a legitimate lore video about him quite yet.
Two Men and a Mic oh i see, thanks for explaining. btw are these comics still getting worked on, getting released? I don't know how that works so that's why i ask
The comics we specifically reference have finished their runs, they're fairly short, and as far as we know there are no currently running Darksiders comics, so if you wanted to look into those, they'd all be finished.
Hey guys, big fan of the lores & lets plays so thanks for so much great content. Just a quick question seeing as you're both big fans of the darksiders games (as I am) what would you like to see in the (hopefully) fifth game? Personally I'd love to have it play similar to darksiders 2 but with all four horsemen playable & a multiplayer. Whar are you're thought & or hopes for the future of the franchise? Cheers & keep up the good work.
We hope for what was originally promised. 4 solo games for each of their little individual stories with a 5th game that takes place after the end of "Not alone" from DS1 where it's a 4 player Co-Op. That's what we want. :P (Isaac wants the leveling and equipment to be similar to DS2. Tarren wants it to be fun to play, all four horsemen and a good story. that's all he wants and he'll be happy.)
I wonder and kinda hope that the second generation or whatever generation was descendants from the firstborn like Absalom, Death and other older nephilim mated with angels and demons and some oldest nephilim too create more nephilim?
We explain it in a little more detail in our video about her but quick gist is, She doesn't remember anymore, That knowledge was stripped from her. Lillith Lore: th-cam.com/video/kR8R0ttlrlQ/w-d-xo.html
Honestly? Most likely designer preference, looking for a cooler or more easily flowing name perhaps, or because Strife and Fury don't bring any inherent power sets to mind, (unlike say, Death). Though it's worth noting that both of the horsemen besides Death and War are often given many different names. For example, we (Isaac, and Tarren) both grew up hearing the group being called War, Death, Famine and Pestilence, but Pestilence and Famine are also sometimes known as Conquest, Justice, Victory, etc. So evidently there's a lot of open interpretation. Though in fairness to your question, we couldn't find any references outside of Darksiders that calls any of the Horsemen Fury. Although a fan theory is that she is called Fury to take advantage of the old saying "Hell hath no Fury like a Woman scorned."
it probably is that. I am mistaken though. I think war is also called strife since strife means conflict. So they changed two horsemen, not one. Supernatural does a nice job with the four horsemen and how they are powered. Famine is an old man that eats souls and pestilence is a doctor. I could see a crazed or laid back character as famine. Hes also hungry so he has his madness under control. Pestilence could be a very clean cut, dapper character with the powers like summoning bugs and weakening the enemies. But idk, Darksiders doesn't seem to be following anything by heart so it will be interesting on how they are going to portray the 7 deadly sins.
after doing more research and watching more behind the scenes videos it turns out yeah, they just chose the horsemen cuz they are cool lol. so they arent actually referencing or basing anything off any biblical lore or anything but more like taking the general main idea and shaping it into their own vision. its far enough from the main lores to call it original but also close enough to give us lore nerds goosebumps lol
One thing I noticed is that Death and Strife bare the same mark on their shoulders. Is that mark common amongst the eldest nephilim aside from Absalom who bears a different mark? (Edit) Upon further inspection, death and strife have different markings upon their shoulders. Shoulder markings seem to appear on the elder nephilim
which video is it that you guys talk about the novel? I want to see if it goes hand and hand with the new game. Surprised Death and Fury wont be in it..
So really just the mingling of angels and angels, since demons are only fallen angels. Seems kinda redundant but makes for a pretty cool game with confusing lore. Thanks for breaking down👍
As far as we can tell in the Darksiders universe Demons and Angels are actually entirely separate races from one another. Much like the creation of Humanity, the Makers and the Ravaiim, the Angels and Demons are simply two additional races within creation.
@@TrueMastersandMorons I've always found that to be slightly confusing. Cause THQ makes it seem as if they are indeed 2 separate races, however in some of the novels/comics it infers different. If memory serves correct, in one of the novels and in one if the side missions in DS2, there's a vault/tomb (not the abomination vault) there's a gigantic statue of Daemon that very closely resembles Samael (With a slightly smaller statue near him that looks very similar to Lilith). On the larger statue it says something along the lines of "when an Angel falls, the longer it is absorbed into corruption, bathed in hatred the more twisted and deformed it's once glorious form becomes. Thus it is soon changed, it's wings becoming broken and twisted, horns protruding, a serpents tail and hell burning in it's eyes. A demon is born" Then it says something similar along the same lines as for mankind (humans), near the smaller statue. Which would have me to believe that Samael was once and Archon (Archangel) and Lilith was once a human, still adding to the biblical mythology of Nephilim being 1/2 human and angel. Cause if you remember in DS2, when Death Journeys to HELL, it was either the crowfather or the goat-man merchant that told Death that Heaven and Hell are but reflections of each other, cause the Black Throne/Spire was a reflection of the Crystal Tower. Please correct me if you believe me to be wrong or have a counter argument. I apologize if my references are slightly off, I'm going off of memory and haven't played DS1 or 2 in years or read the comics/novels in years as well, but they are in my top 10 games, so much so, I remember small details like those.
Is death the only one out of the for horseman who know what the nephilim were like and horrible things they done or does death strife and fury only know given the fact that war knows very little what his people were like? Keep up with the good work.
As far as we know, all four of the horsemen were aware of what terrible things the Nephilim did. Originally Death was the only one who knew about some of their deepest, darkest secrets, but they all rode with the Nephilim, all killed with the Nephilim. That's why they ALL chose to become horsemen. War is the youngest, but he was by no means a stranger to battler, war or the atrocities of his people by the time he joined up with the other three. Hope that answers the question and thanks so much, glad you enjoyed it!
@@TrueMastersandMorons Thanks for the answer that been on my mind for a long time now while watching darksiders cuteness and reading the stories... but to be tired of something that you have been doing means you have to doing it for a long long time for them before they become horsemen... but I don't understand why do they feel guilty of the killing there kind if they know that nephilim slaughter was never going end even if they got earth or did death know that nephilim were going to lose the war on edan???
They are two very different stories ya. It'd be interesting to see how different the world-building landscape would be if they'd kept the original story. Or to see what tweeks would have to be made to Darksiders 2 to keep that original story and let the game still play out in largely the same way. Agreed either way though, we love this series :)
Is it me of does war look more angel then demon like death strife and fury cause death strife and fury have like a demonic view while war looks more angelic
The only thing I don't like about Darksiders is that Strife uses literal guns. I'd even prefer he used canons rather than pistols. I know it's cool, but it beats at the back of my head that it's not old enough. I'd even settle with grenades or a flamethrower. Even a four barreled canon attached by hide lit with a torch like a matchlock. Curse my brain can't handle how much I dislike it. It's the ONLY thing.
I can understand that. But here's why i'm okay with the guns that strife uses. The idea of the use of guns being "not old enough" is due to it being a modern weapon for us. But think about this. Those hand cannons of his are half the length of War and Deaths arms. And we know how huge they are compared to humans. So those are definitely not human guns. Put on top of that that Angels and Demons are older than humans and have CRAZY laser tech, cannons that you can carry around, Shoo-table explosives etc. So my idea has always been that Angels and Demons went through a similar growth period as Humanity. So they went through the rocks, fire, pitchforks, swords, armor, guns, lasers, laser weapons, explosives, etc. etc. So while not as old as say a sword or a scythe, the Guns are creations of probably similarly old tech for the races of Angel, Demon and Nephilem. In my opinion. Hope that this could help your head cannon be more okay with with Strife's Hand cannons. - Isaac.
The Book Of Enoch (The Origin Of The Nephilim.) CHAPTER VII. 1. And all the others together with them took unto themselves wives, and each chose for himself one, and they began to go in unto them and to defile themselves with them, and they taught them charms and enchantments, and the cutting of roots, and made them acquainted with plants. 2. And they became pregnant, and they bare great giants, whose height was three thousand ells: 3. Who consumed all the acquisitions of men. And when men could no longer sustain them, 4. the giants turned against them and devoured mankind. 5. And they began to sin against birds, and beasts, and reptiles, and fish, and to devour one another's flesh, and drink the blood. 6. Then the earth laid accusation against the lawless ones. (The Origin Of The Nephilim)
Why oh why did they to choose fury she seems sooooo boring and her whip doesn’t have any impact with her hits. This on top of the fact they haven’t chosen the meat of the story with Armageddon beginning at the end of darksiders 1 not truly giving us a sequel
The plan is (as far as we know) and has been since the first game to be one game for each horseman. Meaning Darksiders one was War's game, Darksiders II Deaths game, Darksiders III Fury's game, And Darksiders IV Being Strifes game. Following that we will get one that (presumably) Takes place after Darksiders one as (if it follows THQ's original plan) will be a four player co-op game where you can play all four horsemen as they ride together. Hence the reason for Fury getting her own game.
Based on the latest gameplay demos, Fury gets a huge boost in power when dodging which makes her attacks hit harder with some flashy graphics. I don’t know, I think she has the potential to be pretty cool. She’s arrogant to start with, believed War to be guilty, and sets her sights on leading the four to the End Battle. She has no idea how things were set up and that War was innocent.
The main thing that frustrates me is just the fact this game looks too samey for it be any different than the previous titles, I have very little reason to pick this up as the story doesn’t look particularly intriguing either
Highly unlikely. He did it more as a payment. A race for a race. Not necessarily putting the Nephilim into the bodies of humans but paying the souls of the Nephilim for the souls of the humans to return.
The Book Of Enoch CHAPTER XIX. (The Wives Of These Fallen Angels Turned Into Sirens.) 1. And Uriel said to me: 'Here shall stand the angels who have connected themselves with women, and their spirits assuming many different forms are defiling mankind and shall lead them astray p. 46 into sacrificing to demons ⌈⌈as gods⌉⌉, (here shall they stand,) till ⌈⌈the day of⌉⌉ the great judgement in which they shall be judged till they are made an end of. 2. And the women also of the angels who went astray shall become sirens.' 3. And I, Enoch, alone saw the vision, the ends of all things: and no man shall see as I have seen. (The Daughters Of Men Who Fornicated With These Fallen Angels Turned Into Sirens.)
Gulbannan is explicitly killed off in the book (if we recall correctly), even if we're wrong though, whatever happened to him it was at the hands of his apprentice. Whereas the Mad Smith claims to have been banished by the Makers as a group. So we imagine that's unlikely.
So... Heres what Happened. On the 3rd day of creation God created Giant Trees In Eden, but one in particular was this Hollow World Tree which is found in Ezekiel 31. On the 6th Day Of Creation, God Had Planted The Garden Of Eden, Man Ate The Fruit Then They Gots Tha Boot. From That Time To The Days Of Jared, The 1/3 Percent Of The Angels That Were Cast Out Of Heaven Observed People. (Why Do U Think Caine Killed Abel?) Then In The Days Of Jared 200 Fallen Angels That Had Come Out Of That Percentage Of Angels That Fell Decended Onto Mt. Hermon And Took The Daughters Of Men As Wives.. (So How Do I Know That God Cast Lucifer And His Angels Out Of Heaven Before The Days Of Jared? BECAUSE on the 7th day THE SERPENT told eve about the FRUIT.) So From That Time To The Days Of Jared They waited. Now GET this, the Bible Says That 1/3 of the Angels fell from heaven. 1/3 out of tens of thousands. Now, Out Of That Portion, 200 Decided To Take The Daughters Of Men And Make Them Wives In the days of Jared.(This is found in the book of Enoch. Which Tge Book Of Jude In the King James Bible Refers To.) (Also Note, That The Other Portion Of Angels That Did Not Take Wives Were NOT BOUND WITH THOSE 200.. SO WHERE DID THEY GO??) Well come back to that. So The 200 Angels That Took the daughters of men as wives, Took Them To This World Tree And F'd Em After Showing Them Enchantments And Stuff. They Got Pregnant And Bore Great Giants, 3000 ells in height, When Man Could Not Sustain Them They Much Turned On Man. They Were The Lawless Ones, The Heathens, The Nephilim. An angel of the lord god came and confused these beings, The Angel Of The Lord God Had Turned Them On One Another, The Trees Were Being Cut By Them, Once They Cut Down THE WORLD TREE (That Is Found In Ezekiel 31,) The Nations Shook, And The Rest Of The Trees In Eden (Not The Trees in The Garden Of Eden But In Eden Which was A Point in Time And A Place, i dont know what it was called or considered before man began to claim land so.. I guess Eden was A Pangea. Anywho.) Fainted For This Massive Hollow World Tree, That Once Connected Lebanon And Anti-Lebanon. They Were Both Once Part Of This Hollow World Tree. When This Tree Fell, God Witheld The flood waters but the Rest Of The Trees In Eden sank into the abyss. Now when this world tree fell, it landed on cyprus, (Its Branch Pierced Cyprus, The Branch Is Still In Cyprus, And A Portion Of That Branch That Pierced Cyprus Is Known As The Mountain Of The Gods Or Mt. Olypmus For Short.) they cried. The Flood Came After They Had Migrated And Settled In Atlantis And Even After Noahs Flood They Still Brought Their Plan Back. (Atlantis Was Once Part Of Antartica, South America, And South Africa) Once The World Flood Came, Something Out Of Our Natural System Collides And Effects The Water First Boiling Everything, petrifying it, Then It Got Cold, Everything Froze. (Note: There was So Much Water From Noahs Biblical Flood That The Earth Did Not Know What To Do With So It Froze. As time went on it bagan melting, and settling. And settling. Meanwhile whatever Substance in which had altered the water stayed there, Frozen Then As It Melts And Dries thus becoming more potent, Have you Seen The Salton Sea??. This may explain exploding waterbottles.) So now whatever is under the ice are now starting to show. Antartica is melting. The giants and civilizatiins that entered the hollow earth to escape the flood had come back out. Now then, Those Angels That Fell But Were not part of those other 200, who made a pact through mutual imprecations, Dug Into The Earth To Escape Noahs Flood, They Were Known As The Dwellers In Atlantis, They Are The Ones That The Natives Refer to As Sky Beings Or Sky People. (Now The Greys Took Over. Look Up Black Foot Clan. A Grey Came Down And Told Them That It Had Created Them, Then It Says It Will Return. That Grey Is Reffered To As NAPI) They HAVE And ARE bringing it back. (All of the reasons why the world was flooded in the first place. The king james bible refrences the book of enoch, just Ask Jude. (The king james bible refrences the book of enoch, just Ask Jude. Hope this helps.)
The Book Of Enoch. (The Destruction Of The Nephilim And What They Became.) CHAPTER X. 1. Then said the Most High, the Holy and Great One spake, and sent Uriel to the son of Lamech, and said to him: 2. '〈Go to Noah〉 and tell him in my name "Hide thyself!" and reveal to him the end that is approaching: that the whole earth will be destroyed, and a deluge is about to come upon the whole earth, and will destroy all that is on it. 3. And now instruct him that he may escape and his seed may be preserved for all the generations of the world.' 4. And again the Lord said to Raphael: 'Bind Azâzêl hand and foot, and cast him into the darkness: and make an opening in the desert, which is in Dûdâêl, and cast him therein. 5. And place upon him rough and jagged rocks, and cover him with darkness, and let him abide there for ever, and cover his face that he may not see light. 6. And on the day of the great judgement he shall be cast into the fire. And destroy all the spirits of the reprobate and the children of the Watchers, because they have wronged mankind. Destroy all wrong from the face of the earth and let every evil work come to an end:
Keep in mind that this video references only the Nephilim from the darksiders series. Different mythos have different origins for nephilim. We've never seen preacher, but, if it's more biblically based than Darksiders, the Nephilim could be different creatures entirely. So, we assume you're right about Genesis from Preacher, but that doesn't have any impact on the darksiders universe (unless the two ever have a crossover... that would be weird...)
So... we've addressed this several times. We address this in fact, in the video itself. *deep breath* Biblically speaking. *highlights, underlines, circles, boxes, adds 3d graphic art to Biblical* Nephilim were considered the offspring of angels and humans. Yes. Correct. In DARKSIDERS lore, which is, as stated multiple times, in multiple videos, only loosely based upon biblical mythology, the Darksiders version of Nephilim are the "offspring" of angels and demons. As a side-note, in most popular cultural references (tv, film, books, etc.) that is the track that is normally taken. You're average sci-fi and fantasy enthusiast will often be more familiar with the demon/angel biological background. Which is probably why it was used this way in the games. Thank you for watching the video, hope you enjoyed it.

I see the lore is fucked up totaly, Like samael fighting Death, Samael is Death and the horseman Death and a archangel, and nephilim are Children of the 20 fallen angels, nephilims are mix of angel and human . Read the book of Enoth and dont let vidio game lore mess up the real facts, this is as bad as the diablo stories, they might bee good but not the true stories. And demonising a archangel of Death like Samael is realy bad. Realy read the book of Enoth.
Just for clarification, there is no misunderstanding that this is the true to life christian lore of angels, demons or nephilim, merely the lore of the Darksiders games. Fear not, that's why we expressly note that the origins here are different than biblical ones, or even like you mention those in Diablo. It's all different, all in unique, not earth world's that's why the stories are so different, not because the people writing the games think that's what's "biblically canon" if you will.

I had laid me down in the house of my grandfather Mahalalel, (when) I saw in a vision how the heaven collapsed and was borne off and fell to the earth. 4. And when it fell to the earth I saw how the earth was swallowed up in a great abyss, and mountains were suspended on mountains, and hills sank down on hills, and high trees were rent from their stems, and hurled down and sunk in the abyss. 5. And thereupon a word fell into my mouth, and I lifted up (my voice) to cry aloud, and said: 'The earth is destroyed.' 6. And my grandfather Mahalalel waked me as I lay near him, and said unto me: 'Why dost thou cry so, my son, and why dost thou make such lamentation?' 7. And I recounted to him the whole vision which I had seen, and he said unto me: 'A terrible thing hast thou seen, my son, and of grave moment is thy dream-vision as to the secrets of all the sin of the earth: it must sink into the abyss and be destroyed with a great destruction. 8. And now, my son, arise and make petition to the Lord of glory, since thou art a believer, that a remnant may remain on the earth, and that He may not destroy the whole earth. 9. My son, from heaven all this will come upon the earth, and upon the earth there will be great destruction. 10. After that I arose and prayed and implored and besought, and wrote down my prayer for the generations of the world, and I will show everything to thee, my son Methuselah. 11. Ryan Gomez he was one of Lilith’s first children according to the game in Darksiders 2. War would be the youngest since he was recruited at random.
So, about the Biblical Nephilim. Due to various pieces of entomology, history, and translations, it appears that the Nephilim were initially meant to be the legendary heroes of other mythologies.
The more you know.

Here's a thought, what if the nephlim existed first, were split into the two Factions over the eons and lilith created a new generation of essentially throw backs by mingling the dust of angels and demons.
That... is a technically possible theory that could tie together the two disparate histories of the Nephilim that just... makes our heads hurt, lol!

This is google for nerds, love it
I can’t wait for Darksiders 3 I was so happy when they announced that they were going to continue the saga Haven’t play Darksiders 1 and 2 for a while decided to go play them again before the third one comes out

Guys I know you are small so far but it was a great video and you definitely will grow 😉
By the way try using a bit more images don't vids like these and also whenever you put a still image on screen make so it slowly zooms in or out. It will create an effect that it's not still. Will give your videos more life.

Well done, gentlemen!!
Good video guys!

The first game had so much old texts esoteric creatures and symbology. The second one was great. The first almost felt like I was actually in that realm
In Darksiders, the source of corruptions is the fall of mankind. Death had to restore the mankind to balance the universe again.
Very nice guys. I'd like to see you cover the novel lore too.
Thanks! Also, good to know. It will take us awhile, but since people are interested we're more than willing to look into doing a lore on the book.
But as we have not yet finished the books we couldn't 100% agree nor disagree.
guys may i ask where do u get the source for the lore videos? i would like to read all that
We start with Google. Any sites that actually link to original sources are a good place to go, well-maintained wiki's and such. Then delve deeper from there, check all the cross-references to get the whole picture, watch videos, etc. So to answer your question... the internet, ;p
If you're really interested in reading backstory though, check out the comics and the book. Plenty of cool stuff there.
Nephilim that manage to reach the rank of Seraphim gain 6 wings...
So if an angel and a demon had a baby, that baby would be a Nephilim.
Yeah in darksiders
This might be old and you might have talked on this on another video but why was war summoned in the first place if the final seal was not broken in the first Darksiders
We haven't covered that actually. But that subject is actually broached before the first Darksiders game ends. So feel free to come watch our let's plays, we're not there yet, but we're getting close. ;p

Two Men and a Mic do y’all think there will be a Darksiders 4 after number 3 cause I always want to play as Strife
But we definitely don't want to gyp strife of a story.
got some lore about strife? we know little of the guy soo please??
odnamra arreug95 unfortunately I think the reason we know little about him is because there is little to know other than he has twin pistols, one of which makes its way to death
The comics we specifically reference have finished their runs, they're fairly short, and as far as we know there are no currently running Darksiders comics, so if you wanted to look into those, they'd all be finished.
odnamra arreug95 well the lore I see in a lot of fanfiction about strife is that he's the annoying brother, I made that my head cannon,
Can we get a history/lore of the four Horsemen themselves?
Why didn't Lilith created more Nephilim? She knows how to do so, so why didn't she?

Lillith Lore: th-cam.com/video/kR8R0ttlrlQ/w-d-xo.html
Why fury? Isn’t the 4 horsemen war, famine, strife and death? So why change only one of them?
Oh right? So looking forward to seeing the 7 Deadly Sins, and how that game and Fury play out, very excited!
Milan Tique it's actually war, famine, pestilence and death, but yeah, most likely designer choice
after doing more research and watching more behind the scenes videos it turns out yeah, they just chose the horsemen cuz they are cool lol. so they arent actually referencing or basing anything off any biblical lore or anything but more like taking the general main idea and shaping it into their own vision. its far enough from the main lores to call it original but also close enough to give us lore nerds goosebumps lol

@@TrueMastersandMorons Humans are good in negotiations... sometimes...
Two Men and a Mic That's right, kinda forgot a lot of this. It's been a while, again good breakdown 👌
Thank you.
@@TrueMastersandMorons
I've always found that to be slightly confusing.
A demon is born"
Then it says something similar along the same lines as for mankind (humans), near the smaller statue.
Wish they would have used the original version from the comic. But still great series either way.
They are two very different stories ya. It'd be interesting to see how different the world-building landscape would be if they'd kept the original story. Or to see what tweeks would have to be made to Darksiders 2 to keep that original story and let the game still play out in largely the same way. Agreed either way though, we love this series :)
PHSSS ...... WOOOOOOOONG
- Isaac.
furyberserk we dont even know abt strife yet. Chill.

CHAPTER VII.
Nothing you said about Fury is true
Based on the latest gameplay demos, Fury gets a huge boost in power when dodging which makes her attacks hit harder with some flashy graphics.
I don’t know, I think she has the potential to be pretty cool. She’s arrogant to start with, believed War to be guilty, and sets her sights on leading the four to the End Battle. She has no idea how things were set up and that War was innocent.
The main thing that frustrates me is just the fact this game looks too samey for it be any different than the previous titles, I have very little reason to pick this up as the story doesn’t look particularly intriguing either
So when death restore the human race using the soul of the nephilim . Would they have some nephilim power ???
Highly unlikely. He did it more as a payment. A race for a race. Not necessarily putting the Nephilim into the bodies of humans but paying the souls of the Nephilim for the souls of the humans to return.

into sacrificing to demons ⌈⌈as gods⌉⌉, (here shall they stand,) till ⌈⌈the day of⌉⌉ the great judgement in which they shall be judged till they are made an end of. 2. And the women also of the angels who went astray shall become sirens.' 3. And I, Enoch, alone saw the vision, the ends of all things: and no man shall see as I have seen.

I think Gulbannan could be the mad smith 🤨
(Why Do U Think Caine Killed Abel?)
Then In The Days Of Jared 200 Fallen Angels That Had Come Out Of That Percentage Of Angels That Fell Decended Onto Mt.
CHAPTER X.
And heal the earth which the angels have corrupted, and proclaim the healing of the earth, that they may heal the plague, and that all the children of men may not perish through all the secret things that the Watchers have disclosed and have taught their sons. 8. And the whole earth has been corrupted through the works that were taught by Azâzêl: to him ascribe all sin.' 9. And to Gabriel said the Lord: 'Proceed against the bastards and the reprobates, and against the children of fornication: and destroy [the children of fornication and] the children of the Watchers from amongst men [and cause them to go forth]: send them one against the other that they may destroy each other in battle: for length of days shall they not have. 10. And no request that they (i.e. their fathers) make of thee shall be granted unto their fathers on their behalf; for they hope to live an eternal life, and that each one of them will live five hundred years.' 11. And the Lord said unto Michael: 'Go, bind Semjâzâ and

his associates who have united themselves with women so as to have defiled themselves with them in all their uncleanness. 12. And when their sons have slain one another, and they have seen the destruction of their beloved ones, bind them fast for seventy generations in the valleys of the earth, till the day of their judgement and of their consummation, till the judgement that is for ever and ever is consummated. 13. In those days they shall be led off to the abyss of fire: 〈and〉 to the torment and the prison in which they shall be confined for ever. And whosoever shall be condemned and destroyed will from thenceforth be bound together with them to the end of all generations. 15. And destroy all the spirits of the reprobate and the children of the Watchers, because they have wronged mankind. Destroy all wrong from the face of the earth and let every evil work come to an end:

Genesis from preacher was offspring of a Angel and demon but wasn't a nephlim
Keep in mind that this video references only the Nephilim from the darksiders series. Different mythos have different origins for nephilim. We've never seen preacher, but, if it's more biblically based than Darksiders, the Nephilim could be different creatures entirely. So, we assume you're right about Genesis from Preacher, but that doesn't have any impact on the darksiders universe (unless the two ever have a crossover... that would be weird...)
truly do your research Angel and human offspring is nephilim not Angel and demon!
So... we've addressed this several times.
Can the horsemens race just body control an human omg death gave the humans that extra power to make that 3rd kingdom omg so next game all 4 bourse vs the 3 kingdoms an dlc for us to be able to pic our own horsemen for a 2 or 4 person mission or solo’s online too man but include 4 person screen even tho it’s COVID I feel everyone having their own screen would be smarter but everyone together would be a classic call back to all the previous Sony games an building team gameplay pay a Nigga before stealing the idea also horse+Abysal armor+chaos forms mode also the evil council missions ,moderate/hard platforming ability to actually fly an float no glide combo finishers in chaos an not caos forms an higher a Brotha 😉then you add in only good or bad decisions An water missions cause I guess they all are fish all bosses game ok I’m done
Good to hear, thanks.

CHAPTER LXXXIII.
p. 112
[paragraph continues] Lord. 3. 11. And when I had gone forth below and seen the heaven, and the sun rising in the east, and the moon setting in the west, and a few stars, and the whole earth, and everything as †He had known† it in the beginning, then I blessed the Lord of judgement and extolled Him because He had made the sun to go forth from the windows of the east, †and he ascended and rose on the face of the heaven, and set out and kept traversing the path shown unto him.
