Thanks for supporting me along the way. I do appreciate everyone's thoughts on how things are developing at the ranch. Happy New Year's to you and your loved ones.
Great progress even given the down time. How often do you make these trips? And how long do you stay usually? It's amazing what one man with knowledge and gumption can accomplish
Thanks for the compliment and following along with the project. I usually get to go to the ranch three to four times a year. I would say the average stay is one and a half weeks per visit.
you kind of have to wonder how ground water is supposed to benefit you out there when it doesn't seem to be able to seep through just 1m of rock. perhaps it makes sense, i read somewhere it takes 1y for ground water to move 30cm, how long has your pond been in for?
The first part of the pond is now ten years old. Judging by the plants around the pond, I would say the water reaches out about 30 feet in most areas. Thanks for watching the project as always.
Good question, and thanks for following along with the project as always. Yes, it will be connected to the other portion of the pond. I didn't do it this time because of the water height.
@TimelineRanch catching up, but you have been busy. I look at your area on the drought monitor. The drought area has been getting bigger. Nice to see the water.
@heronthere The pond is currently dry and has been for about three months. This video was from December of last year. I was planning on digging it down to 25 feet, but the Kubota had a hydraulic pump go out. That's just my luck.
I really haven't had any trouble out here. I think it's too far away from any town is why. If I were to leave it for a couple of weeks, I could disable it to the point that only a mechanic could figure it out. Thanks for following along with the project as always.
Thank you for your update and Happy New Year! 🥂
