Honestly if the sunroof is your only gripe then get the Okavango. Other than that, this is a vastly better car with loads of features and a REALLY good fuel economy plus coding exemption. Way better car.

Zenix is way better than okavango. It's just disappointing that other markets has sunroof, makes you wonder why our market doesn't.

@@KyleLiongCarsreally? I was deciding between terra and this one since most of the people are saying terra has a good ride comfort but the zenix has the hybrid tech.
Terra is comfortable for a body on frame SUV, but no body on frame SUV in the price range can beat the comfort of a unibody
Dont go for nissan. They have transmission issue.

I was really disappointed that this ph spec does not have the sunroof that other markets have, I just wish that they would add that sooner, because it just adds more premium feeling to the overall vehicle, specially with the price. 🌟
I gotta agree that it makes it more premium, but yeah, tbh not a major thing... in my opinion. I would prefer not having a sunroof haha
masyadong mainit ang pinas Para sa sunroof (Tested on MG) . Sa Baguio siguro maganda advantage Yun kase malamig.
I suspect theyre saving it for the Fortuner release. Then theyll add the sunroof to the Zenix when facelifted.
But honestly it’s only the sunroof that’s missing. Even the ottomans and the power tailgate are included in the PH market. Sunroof lang naman talaga kulang that’s it.
And it also affects the rigidity ng auto, aminin n natin ilang beses lang yun magagamit 😂

They placed it there so that the panoramic sunroof can have a space to be in... should it be equipped

Yeah you’re right… 188 might be a bit low for hills when fully loaded
Clarification: the advertised 188 Nm of torque is for the engine alone. For some reason I can't comprehend, Toyota has not published the combined engine and electric motor torque figures. Until they do, we can't say for sure but my guess is probably around 300+ Nm.
It’s hard to measure torque from electric motors because of some complicated physics thing haha! I tried reading on it, but was too complex for me to understand

Remember when the diesel Innova is getting compared to the new kid-on-the-block MPV in the form of the Geely Okavango when it first launched? Well, here is Toyota's answer. The Zenix is actually directly competing, and aimed squarely, at the Okavango, along with some other MPV-crossover offerings like the Chery Tiggo 8 and GAC GN6 for the chinese brands, and probably the Honda CR-V (FWD) and Mitsubishi Outlander as its direct japanese rivals, all mentioned are front-wheel drive MPVs as well. The Honda Odyssey is a minivan and is competing with the US-based Toyota Sienna minivan which we don't have.

@@KyleLiongCars Other than the hybrid it hasn't evolved that much. But meh, I won't be buying another Toyota unless they bring the Crown here and since we don't get the Sienna I guess this is how it is for us.
The Alphard is much better than the Sienna hehe

it is an innova. zenix is a sub variant/class just like in corolla there is an altis, furia, levin and so on. if it is a zenix toyoya should have removed the innova badge but no innova is bigger than the zenix

for anybody wondering what features toyota ph removed or did not included with the zenix. typical toyota ph greedy behavior.
1. panoramic sunroof
2. ventilated seats
3. 9 speaker jbl system with subwoofer
4. 2nd row dual 10" entertainment system
5. modellista bodykit
6. 8 seat option (2nd row bench seat)
7. all black leather seat option
8. DVR (dashcam)
Those would increase the prices though
@@KyleLiongCars i am not saying to include all of those. but we all know toyota could've added one or two without adding to the cost. they just choose not to.
Some are valid points but:
2) I think only Indian-made units have ventilated seats ; will need to check if Indonesia and Malaysia have it
3) JBL Sound system is currently for Indian-made models ; haven't seen this yet for Indonesia-made unit (for Indo and Malaysia)
6) Modellista bodykit is external installation (ex-factory) ; madali siguro yan

Anything’s possible, but might compromise structural rigidity.
@@KyleLiongCars I don't know very much about moonroofs kasi and yung A/C vents kasi paano na. I've always wanted a car with one and was looking forward to this one since hybrid nga (walang coding) and may moonroof kaso wala pala yung mga models dito.
We have multiple cars with sunroofs. Tbh, I use them like uhhh once a month at most. They’re nice to have, but honestly, not worth paying more for. They also have a chance of leaking after many years.
Stripped down and overpriced (again) in PH market. Still most Pinoys will buy it just because it is Toyota.
