It isn't new. Frame mounted thumb rests are not legal for CO, but replacementatermarket slide stop levers are. That is a slide stop lever with a rather large ledge which doubles as a thumb rest.

Yes. Each gun is checked at the Chrono stage by certified range officers. I wouldn't use an illegal part and then post about it (or use it lol).....

USPSA.com for the rule book. The carry optics national champion used one a month ago to win. Doubt he’d use an illegal part.
