MY HAND SIZE FOR REFERENCE
9 1/4 " Wide from side of index finger to side of pinky finger
8" Tall from bottom of palm to top of middle finger
11" Closed Fist Circumference
I just got a pair about a month ago (it's 2024). I got them based on this video. You were spot on about the time to break them in. It took about 2 weeks. I thought I had made a huge mistake in buying them, because they were killing my knuckles. However, I made 2 adjustments and the problem went away. For one, the splints on the wrist really need to be broken in to make room for the knuckles in the front. Think about bending them like the brim of a ball cap. It kind of "pops" open the back of the hand on the glove. If the splints are too stiff, they lay flat and it rubs the back of your knuckles something serious. And I don't mean it rubs the skin, I mean it presses down on the knuckles and irritates the tendon on the back of your knuckle. I took a week off to let my knuckles heal, and hung the gloves up with the velcro strap wrenched down as tight as I could get it. Once a day, I would massage the gloves for a few minutes to try and relax the padding in the knuckle area. Lastly, I stopped wearing a knuckle pad in my hand wraps, and put less wrapping on my knuckles in general. My previous gloves had a lot of room in the knuckle area, and the padding helped take up space. I didn't need that on the H5s. All it did was make the glove way too tight, and it was really irritating my knuckles. Hope that helps anyone who got these too and was having buyers remorse. It's turned out to be a great glove!
I am really surprised that a pair of Hayabusa can get such a high grade. It seems that they have been paying attention to the development and people's review. Nice video Carlo
Thanks, yeah the glove surprised me, tbh I was thinking I would be disappointed lol
I was waiting for this one
🙏🏼🥊
Nice review. Just curious, what exactly do you think makes them better than the T3 other than the bouncy foam? As someone who started with Title boxing gloves I personally found the Hayabusa T3 to be far superior. I love the feel on the T3, especially the wrist support. It’s my favorite glove I’ve used.
I like the foam better and the wrist support is good enough unless you really need the extra wrist support of the T3
Excellent Review! You really covered topics I needed a personal view on. Well spoken and sequenced man. Thank you!
Thanks as well!
Great idea to have a line of gloves between the S4 and T3. Loved my S4 and now have T3s so best of both worlds
Yup no doubt
so what is the diff? what are the "worlds"?

Just bought a pair today ! Thanks for the review. Subscribed !
No prob! Thanks for the sub
Daaaaaang,i guess they really improved. Great video
Thanks
I have 2 pairs of old hayabusa tokusho regenesis that use the same suede materials on the thumb, now 3-4 years later the suede material has ripped open and the foam comes out in clumps. I recommend you guys to buy the t3 lxs or if you can spend more money the onx sports velcro!
👍🏼🥊
I bought these gloves 3 months ago. Train everyday and sometimes twice a day. I am sad to report that the stitching started falling apart pretty fast. The velcro area stitching is falling off too. Now the stretch part is close to falling off. I am going to have to get new ones already, and am pretty disappointed. I wish I would have bought a different glove. Based on your other recommendations. 😭😭😭
What glove do you wish you would have tried? Im on the fence between hayabusa s4 leather, H5 synthetic, and Venum impact maybe
Your hand lands perfect I noticed that blows my mind been working with Everlast hook and loop gloves
👍🏼🥊
I seriously appreciate this video. I am terrible with going back and forth over decisions, and I have been struggling to make a decision on the T3s vs H5s. I have slim wrists but no wrist-injuries, so I don’t feel the need for the extra wrist support from the T3s since the H5s are apparently pretty supportive there anyways. I am looking to get the H5s now for an upcoming fight. Thank you again!
No prob
Ikr. I was stuck between these 2 pair for so long I ended up somehow looking for a cheaper better pair? I dont get it either
Would you recommend these as an all around glove? I have to do bagwork, padwork and sparring with 1 pair of gloves during training. Have pretty weak wrists but have used a pair of 20$ boxing gloves and have rarely had problems with those. Would you recommend the H5's, Venum impacts or T3 to be safe?
I haven’t used the hayabusa gloves but I have Venums and they don’t last long imo. The velcro wears out fast and I’m getting weird knots on the top of the gloves. I say stick with hayabusas.
Hayabusa t3 if you can afford it or the h5 but t3's is obviously overall better
@@monothemonkey how are they hitting a heavy bag bro? I just got a pair of RB60c for my first pair of gloves to get used to the feel of punching and getting my feet under me properly, I’ll be using them with double end bags. I’m looking into some 16oz heavy bag gloves and it’s difficult to find that sort of glove that’s around 50$. Are the H5’s the best at its price point for heavy bag work?
Nice review! very cool but still low profile looking gloves. I was wondering about the longevity of that rubber. band. How has it been handling the test of time?
I had just heard about these and then you put a video out. My man👌
Love these videos. I always recommend your channel to casuals and fighters alike. I'm curious about your thoughts on the Title Classic Leather Elastic Training Gloves 2.0
Thanks man I’ll check those out
Hey man great review! What’s your favorite glove currently in your regular rotation? Would this glove go into that rotation? I love the look!
Thanks yes this would go in the rotation, currently enjoying my 1v1 horse hair gloves
Just bought a pair of these. Wrist, cuff is great. Definite wear in period. Underrated glove without a doubt, especially comparing price to other Hayabusa gloves. The foam is moderate to hard. It sits your hand in a perfect position. Love this glove.
No doubt brother
@@csquaredboxing yeh ive bought winning 16oz reyes everlast mx . Imo these feel just as good in alot of aspects. These and punish.

Very interested in purchasing a pair of Hayabusa gloves. The only thing is I can't decide wether to go with the t3 or h5
I honestly prefer the h5. T3 is great for extra wrist support but I find the padding to be a little “bouncy” compared to the h5 which gives a better pop imo
🥊😁🥊 Always been a fan of Hyabusa - they make excellent fight gear for everyone (BJJ/NoGi Grappling too!!) - usually pricier tho - I got a pair of 160z. 'busas that are around 10yrs old, and still work bags and mits.. with love and lotion they will last...
Not a big fan of sweat-wick thumbs & wrists tho.. absorbs the salt.. and my gloves stink bad enough already lol..
Thanks man great video, your knowledge is vast 👍 This is a tough decision got it narrowed down to fairtex BGV9 Mexican style glove and these H5. Using them mostly just for heavy bag. I'm leaning to H5. Which one do you think might be better for me?
i’d say the h5
@@csquaredboxing Done and done. Will be here tomorrow by 10 pm👊 Thanks bro 🙂
@@csquaredboxing I'm 6’3” and don't have Huge hands but these gloves barely fit. My thumb goes to the end seam.
I've used them for about 7hours on Heavy Bag and Pads and they still feel tight and are hard to put on.
Will they break in?
I've watched a few of your videos and wanted to ask you for your opinion on the best $100 training glove for my 9yr old son. He's been in boxing for 6mos now and he's enjoying it so therefor wanting to upgrade from his starter pair of elite sports. Great vids keep it up.
These Hayabusa gloves are a great choice
I know there are a lot of gloves out there and many videos with different recommendations. Are these H5 gloves something you recommend for a do it all kind of glove. Training and sparring for someone just getting into boxing? There are just so many to choose from budget to high end.
Thanks and hope to hear back soon. Awesome videos by the way.
Yes a good overall training glove
can you open your hand to parry shots or is it as hard as with the T3s ? :D I want some good gloves for mma or muay thai sparring ( to catch kicks or try to clinch), but also for boxing sparring.
Yes you can
@@csquaredboxing Ok thanks 🤙
Dang I was wanting some T3 over a pair of yokkao but i dont know now lol
I absolutely love hayabusa’s aesthetics and when I heard about this glove and the price point I was really excited. But man I don’t know what it is but I just really do not like the look of these gloves. I really want to but I just don’t.
Yeah no doubt, looks are subjective
Definitely get one pair!
🙏🏼🥊
Hi! Did the elastic hold up for a good time? or did it last a good while? I want these gloves but I'm concerned about the elastic wearing off fast. The S4 Leather gloves dont use elastic so i was thinking of those as well.
Thanks!
Thanks for the great video Carlos.
May I kindly ask, comparing to Top boxer Alien, would these be snuggier feel and have a slimmer profile? Given that you have review both gloves.
Cheers and thanks
Compared to the alien these are tad roomier
Still looking for a good 16 oz for the heavy bag. Already tried RS1 Ultra ( dead feeling), Onx (great for Thai pads but knuckle pain on very dense heavy bags), RB11 (excellent but too damn firm) --- Don't care about the cost: This , Heavy Hitters or 1v1, Fly S Loop in terms of wrist support, fist formation and feel ?
This
@@csquaredboxing Thanks, will get a pair of Amazon .
Hello, in 2021 are these still your favorite pair of Hayabusa's, or do you prefer the Leather T3's? I wasn't sure if your opinion may have changed a year out after further use. Thanks for all your videos and hard work!
Still prefer the h5
Why do u prefer the h5 over the t3 lx
Hey, Im looking for a 12 oz and 16 oz gloves but cant decide between the fairtex bgv1 breathable or these. I already have the bgv1 in 16 oz and t3’s in 16. Would love your help! Keep up the great work
get these
Hiya, I'm thinking of buying these gloves, but from everything I've heard, it's better to go for leather gloves, so is it worth going for these instead of the S4 leather gloves, as I thought the S4's would last longer.
Very helpful thank you
You’re welcome
Mann I just got mine today I can’t believe the quality nothing touches these for 100 dollars.
Very nice gloves for sur e
@@csquaredboxing I see they need broken in they feel much more expensive
What is better for hand protection? These or Ring to Cage C17 2.0 gloves?
Semi unrelated to this specific glove, but do you find a difference between the more dense foam gloves and knuckle tenderness hitting a heavy bag? I ask because I have a pair of the sting armaplus, not worn in yet, hitting the 'aqua' bag (a3 buoy) and experiencing some knuckle tenderness, 2nd knuckle. Any similar experiences?
Yes, because some times just because the foam is stiffer doesn’t necessarily translate to a more comfortable glove or padding that prevents injury. It’s usually better to have a softer foam against the hand so it braces the knuckles better and reduces the impact
@@csquaredboxing awesome cheers man, I'll switch gloves for a bit!
Hey mate, which would you reccomend? These, the fairtex microfibre ones or the everlast powerlock pro?
These
Should I get these as bag gloves, or sparring gloves? Will they work for both? It's to my understanding that thinner, harder gloves are for bag work, and fluffier gloves are for sparring
thanks for the review.. does the H5 or the T3 have more knuckle protecion ? and which of them did u prefer for mitt work??
H5
I was about to buy the buy the S4 but I got the H5 after watching this video. I got the 14 oz and I am 240pounds 6.3". I feel that they are tight, to the point I dont need handwraps. I dont know if that means I should go with the 16oz... Please let me know what you guys think. I can exchange them until I use them (tonight or tomorrow).
Hey Carlo. Another great review. Looking for another pair of gloves to rotate to. I still have the Saba's Pro Series based on your recommendation. Well worth the price. Amazing protection. I don't feel like I punch through & the crack on the bag gets peoples attention.
I'm thinking of picking up the Hayabusa. Do u have any other suggestions that would be comparable or better at the $100 price point? Oh & are these slightly larger than the Sabas? I would like to get a slightly larger glove than those as they are pretty compact. Spot on review with Sabas as well. Thanks man.
Thanks I would definitely check these out and they’re about the same size as Sabas if not a hair larger
Hey Carlo - hope you’ve been well brother. Been boxing for a month now and starting to get into sparring. What would be the best glove for sparring under $200? Would you say the RingtoCage C-17, Rival Rs1 ultra sparring gloves 2.0, or Punch equipment fuerte ultras? Thank you!
Thanks bro, out of the gloves you listed the rs1 is my choice for sparring
@@csquaredboxing thanks for the response bro. I appreciate you sharing your knowledge. Your channel has been perfect for making informed buying decisions. Gonna get the RS1 2.0s. Keep up the great videos and wishing you all the success you deserve!
hi, do you think that the wrist support including the splint, is similar in the h5 and t3? sometimes I hit the bag hard and I feel a little pain in my wrists, I have read reviews that the hayabusa have very good support but I don't know if all the models (t3+ have double velcro) you who have tried them all what do you think of the thumb durability on the s4, h5, t3? I would appreciate your comment it would help me a lot
These or the heavy hitters flare?knuckle protection wise and all around use including sparring and bag work?
Best gloves ever!
👍🏼🥊
Can you review the Hayabusa S4 Leather gloves? They have S4 and S4 Leather on the Hayabusa store. Would be great to know if you prefer S4, S4 Leather or H5.
I’ll check them out
Would you recommend these of the Venom impacts?
these
To hit a heavy bag with these gloves would you recommend 10 or 14 ounces?
Would you recommend these or the Fairtex BGV6 for an all around glove ?
these
Hi. Are these protective gloves ? I have a pair of superior winning like boxing gloves and they are way to soft for bag work . I have sore knuckles and wrist pain after every session on the bag . The bag is very similar dimensions and weight to yours. I also have cheap moulded foam boxing gloves which feels much better in terms of protection , unfortunately very uncomfortable with small thumb . Would you recommend these or others for bag work with good pop but protective ?
They are definitely good for bag work
How do these stack up to the Superare Supergels? Seems like you prefer those over the Win1’s and Infinitudes but the thumb issue/small hand compartment worries me.
I like the Supergels a lot, but I give the nod to these by a little bit because the thumb feels better
hows the support for thumb? thumb area padding looks thin.
Would these last long if used just with the heavy bag? I was looking at some Rival bag gloves but they are hard to get in Europe at a reasonable price. They have a UK warehouse which is outside the EU now.
Yes they will
I'm 5'8" and 165-170 pounds. Unfortunately I have pretty small hands at 8" circumference around my knuckles.
As a beginner starting off with bag work and just training, would you recommend 12, 14, or 16oz.
Thanks in advanced! Looking to order a pair through your affiliate link.
14 ounce
Anyone know what the diff between their T3 and the Kanepki gloves are?
So far the only diff I’m seeing is the material on the thumb is diff??
I looked at a lot of reviews from people saying this synthetic leather breaks super easy
Would you recommend this as a good beginner glove? Or are there better ones for a beginner. In the price range up to 100 thank
Yes definitely
I have a pair of Fairtex and they feel tight, thumb gets a numb and don't like the feel. My hand's aren't big. Are H5's roomier?
strictly from the reviews ive read, it seems like hayabusa is more of a tight brand... but
Do you think these are the best gloves for $100.00?? Thank you for the review!
One of the best
Would you prefer these hayabusa gloves or the fairtex bgv9?
These Hayabusa
Thanks man. Appreciate it. Great videos!
How durable is the faux leather? S4 with real leather might be a good compromise if someone is looking for durability, no?
Pretty durable
Hey I’m 5”9 at a 170 pounds should I get a 12 oz or a 14 oz? I’m also just starting off boxing
14
I'm new to boxing and been borrowing gloves. I need my own but I don't want to get something cheap but don't want to spend a ton but also need something with high quality that will last. Should I get these? Thanks
Yes these are a good choice
I really like them so far. Only that sucks is that I still mess up here and there putting on my wraps lol
dunno dude. I absolutely love T3s, double strap wrist support allows me to hit as hard as i want.
i tried cleto reyes and winning and T3s are just on another level for me
All good man, to each their own, it’s nice they work well for you
IS the wrist too stuff for clinch work? is this more of boxing glove than a mauy thia glove?
Too stiff
Anybody know if the 10 ounce gloves, have enough cushion to keep your knuckles from aching hitting a 100 lb. bag? The bottom of my bag is hard as a rock now.
I’m 6’1 bout 150 would you say the finger compartment is deep enough on 14oz for someone with longer fingers
Go with 16
Do prefer the Venum Impacts or Haybusa H5?
H5
@@csquaredboxing you said impacts in another comment
@@omarmosaad9878 I changed my mind
@@csquaredboxing good to know considering I just ordered them lol, have you tried their mouthguards? And if so what did you think of them?
I got these they were great for awhile but unfortunately, that thumb material is crap. I use it for it's intended purpose , wiping sweat, and I already have a rip/tear after getting it in December. Extremely disappointing.
watched a lot of vids, these or rb80?
What’s the boxing glove you use the most?
Tbh I have a rotation so I use a lot
Hey I was wondering what budget headgear you would recommend for head protection?
Id go with Sanabul battleforged headgear
csquaredboxing thank you!!
@@csquaredboxing yes, got one of those, it's good for the budget option
Try out the starpro sports t20 boxing gloves

Are this solely bag gloves or can they be used for sparring?
Can be used for both yes
What’s better for the bag this or the rival rb50 for protection and just a better glove?

Fairtex or Hayabusa H5 ?
This or something like the Rival RB10 or RB11 for bag work?
Both great gloves I’d say a tie

@@seabass6715 Awesome, thanks! Just ordered a pair of RB10s in white, excited to try them out!
@@Riverpeth you won't regret. They are very comfy.
Would you recommend this or the top boxer alien?
Two different kinds of gloves it’s personal preference
@@csquaredboxing which one would you say has a better pop on the bag?
@@BLITZFANG56 I had the TB Aliens and sold them because the padding was way too stiff. Did over 100 rounds and it was not getting softer and I still had to force to make a fist. Awesome gloves, but that was a dealbreaker for me. Semi broken or broken gloves are the way to go imo.
How tall are you? I realise you are using 14 ounce for most of the heavy bag gloves.
5’8

Thanks for this! How would you compare this to Prize Ring 5.0 and Fairtex BGV14s? Looking for something that feels snug even with wraps.
