    I just got a pair about a month ago (it's 2024). I got them based on this video. You were spot on about the time to break them in. It took about 2 weeks. I thought I had made a huge mistake in buying them, because they were killing my knuckles. However, I made 2 adjustments and the problem went away. For one, the splints on the wrist really need to be broken in to make room for the knuckles in the front. Think about bending them like the brim of a ball cap. It kind of "pops" open the back of the hand on the glove. If the splints are too stiff, they lay flat and it rubs the back of your knuckles something serious. And I don't mean it rubs the skin, I mean it presses down on the knuckles and irritates the tendon on the back of your knuckle. I took a week off to let my knuckles heal, and hung the gloves up with the velcro strap wrenched down as tight as I could get it. Once a day, I would massage the gloves for a few minutes to try and relax the padding in the knuckle area. Lastly, I stopped wearing a knuckle pad in my hand wraps, and put less wrapping on my knuckles in general. My previous gloves had a lot of room in the knuckle area, and the padding helped take up space. I didn't need that on the H5s. All it did was make the glove way too tight, and it was really irritating my knuckles. Hope that helps anyone who got these too and was having buyers remorse. It's turned out to be a great glove!

    Nice review. Just curious, what exactly do you think makes them better than the T3 other than the bouncy foam? As someone who started with Title boxing gloves I personally found the Hayabusa T3 to be far superior. I love the feel on the T3, especially the wrist support. It’s my favorite glove I’ve used.

    I have 2 pairs of old hayabusa tokusho regenesis that use the same suede materials on the thumb, now 3-4 years later the suede material has ripped open and the foam comes out in clumps. I recommend you guys to buy the t3 lxs or if you can spend more money the onx sports velcro!

    I bought these gloves 3 months ago. Train everyday and sometimes twice a day. I am sad to report that the stitching started falling apart pretty fast. The velcro area stitching is falling off too. Now the stretch part is close to falling off. I am going to have to get new ones already, and am pretty disappointed. I wish I would have bought a different glove. Based on your other recommendations. 😭😭😭

    I seriously appreciate this video. I am terrible with going back and forth over decisions, and I have been struggling to make a decision on the T3s vs H5s. I have slim wrists but no wrist-injuries, so I don’t feel the need for the extra wrist support from the T3s since the H5s are apparently pretty supportive there anyways. I am looking to get the H5s now for an upcoming fight. Thank you again!

    Would you recommend these as an all around glove? I have to do bagwork, padwork and sparring with 1 pair of gloves during training. Have pretty weak wrists but have used a pair of 20$ boxing gloves and have rarely had problems with those. Would you recommend the H5's, Venum impacts or T3 to be safe?

    Semi unrelated to this specific glove, but do you find a difference between the more dense foam gloves and knuckle tenderness hitting a heavy bag? I ask because I have a pair of the sting armaplus, not worn in yet, hitting the 'aqua' bag (a3 buoy) and experiencing some knuckle tenderness, 2nd knuckle. Any similar experiences?

    • @csquaredboxing
      @csquaredboxing  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, because some times just because the foam is stiffer doesn’t necessarily translate to a more comfortable glove or padding that prevents injury. It’s usually better to have a softer foam against the hand so it braces the knuckles better and reduces the impact
