One thing I forgot to mention in the video which is VERY IMPORTANT to the longevity of the inner liner:
    - CUT your fingernails, make sure they’re trimmed properly (I know this sounds funny) but over time long nails can and will rip the liner in the finger compartment. Combined with moisture it’s a bad mix, so maintain your hands.

My Sabas Proseries gloves lasted 4 years, the exterior is in very good shape and same with the liner. The problem as you mentioned is the padding. The knuckle area foam has started to go. Once I bruised my knuckles I knew it was time retire them. 4 years was plenty worth it though.

Great Video! Some tips I would like to add on extending the life of the gloves as much possible would be
Air drying them out after every session
Giving it a baby soap and warm water wipedown with a towel once a week
Taking off the laces (if applicable) once a week this relieves the stress on the wrist area and punched holes and also the glove as a whole.
Not sliding your hands off em after each use, gloves are meant to grip your hand when you slide them off without undoing the laces or velcro the back of your fist and wraps will start pulling on the lining eventually the stitch on the end of the finger compartment of the glove itself will break away and expose the padding allowing sweat to accumulate on the padding which will accelerate its deterioration (a clear sign is when you start seeing latex dandruff on your hands after using your gloves)

I use the baking soda balls to preserve my boxing gloves. I also use those ringside dog gloves to absorb the sweat 😓 from the gloves.

Thank you for posting this awesome video because it’s very informative! I received some Cleto Reyes extra padding gloves from the factory in San Diego. My logo on my right glove is peeling off already and my left glove is longer than my right glove. Also, the shape of the gloves are different but barely noticeable. It’s not up to par but they fit my hand perfect, and I don’t have any issues with my thumbs, so I decided not to say anything.

I've had the Ringside Ultimate bag gloves 2nd pair going strong almost 20 years combined, Lexol leather conditioner keeps them like new. Leather has never worn out on them or cracked as long as they don't get super hot or direct sunlight the weather should be fine for years the only thing that might wear out is the inside as you slip the gloves on and off. And because the Ringside Ultimate gloves now known as Ringside Heritage gloves are drum dyed the color is just like when I first got them in other words it holds in whatever that dye color is by being drum dyed. I haven't got the heritage gloves but I will be placing an order for them soon enough.

Good vid - I purchased a pair of Winning MS-300 about 6 months ago from KOZUJI, and the logo on the right glove peeled off in the first week. They are good gloves, and the performance is not affected, but ... Moisture/Deodorising satchels inserted in your gloves after use go a long way in prolonging their life as well.

Repaired another pair of gloves with the E6000 adhesive.
The soft side of the velcro was getting too fluffy and ineffective.
I snipped it off with scissors and used some really old peel and stick velcro I had from 20 years ago. I can't sew but I think this is better than sewing anyways.
Obviously that's not going to be good enough to stick even if new, but adding the E6000 adhesive makes sure it's a permanent fix.
Have put about 10 hours on them since and taken them off several times, holding strong.
Surprising to me that there is so little on repairing gloves. I'm confident I could repair most issues with that adhesive.

What people don’t get is that buying expensive gloves such as cleto reyes, they will last you for YEARS I have friends that have been using cleto training heavily and the gloves have last then 3-5 years, and if you buy cheaper gloves, they will be destroyed within 3-4 months, in the long run, you’ll be paying more than you would’ve paid for the reyes

I also feel the pading is like broken inside. I was wondering if I should buy another pair or use those until they are completely broken. But after seeing this video I think definetely I should buy new ones.

You may want to stay clear of the Armorall, A lot of non-natural ingredients that can fill the pores of leather and cause cracking by not letting more moisture in.

  • @wingoreviewsboxingandmma3667

Winning will not correct the issue when they send out a bad pair of gloves. I had got a pair from them that were not as good as what you normally get from them. I sent them pics of the bad stitching and lose leather and they refused to do anything about it.
Long story short don't buy directly from winning. Buy them from a reputable retailer that sells Winning. So you're much less likely to run into problems because of the extra quality control check and the retailer wanting to be in good standings with their customers so they more willing to take care of any issues you may have with the gloves.
