Just picked up my A55 last week. It's a great device so far. Battery lasts me all day, and gaming performance is impressive. I upgraded from a Galaxy A31
A35 is the better buy, you don't lose much at all compared to the A55 and it costs like 25% less. I wouldn't go down to the A25 though as you lose too much. A35 is perfect.
2 days ago, I just bought the IceBlue A35. Very proud by owning it...Big screen, big battery and good camera! I paid 240 euros (Romania), Factory Unlocked. I suggest people for who doesn't care about the Aluminum Frame or Back Glass from A55, I suggest to buy the A35.
My S21 gave up on me days ago. I am someone who has been using the S series for years. This time I bought the A55, even though the salesperson kept trying to talk me out of buying it, saying how it will be very slow as compared to the S series which I have been so used to. I am glad I didn't listen to her. For less than SGD 600, the A55 has been really great!
Considering the major gap of performance and specs just within the S21 and S22 I wouldn't be surprised, I was actually looking at bechmark scores of flagships and most phones(even Apples and Samsungs) from those years PALES in comparison to the current midrangers of today
@@dearickangelonej.legaspi6686 Tho, the snapdragon 888 on the s21 is actually a bit faster than the exynos 1480 on the a55, tho not by very much. Both are pretty fast for basic usage.
I got my Samsung A55 and case today. My stepmom has the A35 and she has no problems with her smartphone. But, I wanted the better A55 smartphone as I use my smartphones for lots of outdoor photos. When my current Samsung S20 FE stops working for good, the Samsung A55 will take over as my primary smartphone for calls, texts and photography uses. Both have 5G also, which my phone provider T-Mobile has and works well enough for me.
@@starlsma2000 well my step-mother is in her 70's's and when she takes photos with that Samsung A35, it seems to be OK for outdoor photos. She has recently sent me a few photos back home outdoors in the mountains & they look fine, until you zoom in on the photos when those photos looked "mushy" or grainy. So, oddly the A55's camera is not a whole lot better either & that's the phone I have now been using for awhile as my prior Samsung phone, the S20 FE stopped working after 4 years of moderate use. IF you are taking basic photos indoors with flash or outdoors during daylight hours, your photos on the A35 should be fine....if you're not expecting I-phone "like" photos. Night photos will be rotten with either A35 or A55 with or without flash.
I originally wanted an s24, but after talking with the sales lady and telling her I work in construction, she told me it's not a good idea. So she recommended either the a35 or the a55. I got the a55, and so far, I'm really happy with it. Great phone!
The A35 is crazy value, but I might lean towards the A55 mainly because, in my country at least, the spec we have over here comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB out of the box
I tend to buy the A5X series for family members, its a solid all rounder for the price. I think Samsung should really fight the Pixel a series of phones by adding at least 7.5W Qi wireless charging support.
@@kyojurorengoku5964 Because the iPhone 11 back in the day was a Flagship phone compared to the A55 is still a Midrange phone brother no matter what you say!
The a30 series are always a better value over the a50 series. Apart from Samsung optimizing their apps for exynos, most developers ignore it making the performance gains largely insignificant in third party apps. Everyone uses a case so build quality doesn't matter to most Samsung should just consolidate the fe series and the a50 series so there'll be much significant difference between that and the a30 series instead of making more e-waste
absolutely agree with this, however I think its unlikely to happen since samsung will probably use the A3x series to make use of the extra exynos chipsets that could have been on the a5x series phones
4:00 The plastic actually has a smaller chance of causing little visible bumps and scratches than the aluminum frame, because its just much more flexible than metal.
Yeah, I actually go back & forth on plastic vs. metal phones. Some metal/aluminum edges don't look great after a while and even have micro-dents from drops
I bought A35 three months ago at 250 US dollars. I am satisfy for it performance in this price range. However, this phone is quite heavy and sometime i will feel tired when i hold it for long period used in single hand.
My husband has been wanting a new phone for at least a year now. I finally just got him on board with the a35 for the value. The a32 has been really good to me these last 3 years and I think he'll love this model for his return to Samsung phones.
I used to have one of the A5x series. Then I got an A34. It's more phone than I'll ever need. Well, almost. It would be nice if the A series had Samsung DEX, or at least USB-C video out.
Samsung stopped the a7 series and it seems they are pushing out the next highest series. Personally the a35/55 are fine for me and while the FE cycle doesn't work for me. I have thought about returning to iPhone even thought I haven't used one since iPhone 3. I like the S24 but not sure I feel the features justify the price. Maybe I will go Pixel flagship or Motorola. Maybe I will resurrect my camera, iPod 120gb and notepad and go with the lower mid tier phone. I am disappointed with the loss of the 3.5mm jack in the upper mid tier phones. That for me rated quite highly along with telephoto lens and expandable storage (256 GB min or 128 plus SD card). Not very interested in AI and I hate subscription services and refuse to pay more for cloud storage. For me to pay flagship prices for a phone they need to be able to replace my laptop. I used to only buy the best but my mid tier experience showed me that in the current market I don't need it. And with 7 versus 4 years of s/w upgrades it still hard to justify.
Just checked. No 5g support for most Canadian carriers since it's lacking the n71 band (it only supports n66). Only the International model is available for purchase. The a35 on the other hand has n71 support and therefore supports 5g, but make sure it's the Canadian version and not the international version otherwise same problem as with the a55.
You can hear and difference in the speaker quality that is setting them apart?😂. I have both and difference in sound quality is clear. A55 has a better bass and sound quality
Just watched a comparison video between a35 and the iphone 15. Its crazy how far these cheap samsung phone perform. I think i will sell mine and buy the android phone instead. Its crazy!
Same. I'm staying with it until.. ppl being petty about notch and chin. I don't care about the exterior of the screen.. I care about battery, performance, the useful features and a little bit the cameras. I love the cameras for what they are.. the only exterior parts I tend to are the cases and tempered glass lol. I care nothing about a chin n notch. Very small issue for me personally
Do you know if the A55 has the bands that will work for ATT in the US. I'm thinking of ordering one but the A35 is currently $359 at Best Buy and does have all the US bands.
missing almost all the 5G bands, and one 4G band is missing as well. I don't think it would work very well, and at&t is picky about what devices you use on their network so the A35 would work better.
do not buy for US! no 5g!!! no b71/n71 for tmobile (longest range) no b30 for att, no n77 low no n77 hi for att. not on att whitelist. no cbrs either. forever crippled in US
I managed to get a sweet trade-in deal where I got the A55 for the price of the A35. I did have an opportunity to test both out and I must say there's some slight quality of life aspects of the A55 that stand out above the A35. Still, both phones are incredible and I'd say getting either is just as good as a flagship in most cases.
Just my opinion here. I got the OnePlus 12R 256gb for 500 and the experience is amazing. you can get the 128gb version for 449 sometimes less. And I personally recommend that at a 439 dollar price. That's what my carrier was offering the A35 for. It's so smooth and feature packed. The only downside was case availability. I would only pick Samsung if you really want Samsung UI software. Just my opinion though.
Nice comparison and review, as usual, keep them coming! The A35 is non-HDR while the A55 is HDR10+ At least in the Philippines, we have one issue with the A55 5G: signal and data reception. If you play Light games only, and don't need the "little bit" better camera quality of A55. Then yeah the 256gb model of A35 is much better and affordable option for you. Heavy games will also definitely run on A35, just maybe occasional lags and frame drops, which wouldn't bother me that much.
Using my S21 for 2 years now. Android 15 will also come in this beast. Should I upgrade to A55 or A35 or go for used S22 or S23?. Please help me whoever is reading this comment.
why would you want a used phone? years ago i got the used phones from my mother (galaxy s2 and s4) after around 2 years of use, NEVER again! used phones tend to be slow and are, because they are older not worth the prices. my last Phone was a A21s and i just bought a A35. if you dont want to spend the money on a S than get a mid-class A or M. if you dont have the Money for those get a cheap A 05 15 or 25.

Thats why i bought a55 and it is better in every category except cameras that aren' t that better.
Isn't the cameras very good on the A55 ?
@@wesleyallin5487 i guess but not much better than a52s
Just pick my A55, it's a great phone!
plastic frame vs aluminum frame?
Is there any green line issue in this phone specially a35…? I want to buy this
NO 5g on A55 in US.
it may be a great phone but what good is it if you cant use it on american carriers to the full extent?
no b71/N71 for t-mobile is an absolute disaster.
you are forever crippled.
Samsung does not want you buying or using the A55 in the U.S. They want you to buy the FE lol
I am planning to buy a55
Glass and aluminium other than that, it's the sane phone
@mbusomehlomakulu9347 no it's not a35 has heating issues. A55 don't
@@Crabby.1 you sure about that?
@alihazimeh6022 yeah . There multiple test done and it doesn't heat like 1380
@@Crabby.1no i just bought a55. It has heating issues with just few minutes of usage , phone heats up near the cameea area
How I misses the "whats going on guys..." you are the best man !! Love ur samsung content !!!!
I have both phones and both are good. I don't see much difference. But A55 feels more premiums since it has Aluminum sides. I have A55 in Lilac and Ice Blue for A35.
Really looking hard at buying the A55 here in the Philippines. Can someone tell me if it's possible to use the esim+nano sim+SD simultaneously? I really need 2 sims and don't want to give up the SD that I have with my cheap Realme 10. Thanks
Yes You can have 1 sim and 1 SD card and one esim
Beautiful representation & explanation . Thanks
that was comprehensive. great vid
I love this guy's accent.❤
Following your 95% of people wouldn't bother, you came down all the way from S24 to 23 to 23FE to A55, and landed on A35. I won't chase this rabbit hole no more cauz I don't want to type _A35 VS A15_ and find you saying again _95% of people will go for the A15_ basically making it all the way from S24.
Pulling a trigger on the A55 as it would be a temporary fix till got some stuff sorted out.
7:39 nice sound balance 🫶🏼
This is a great video!
I really enjoyed the ambidextrous side by side comparisons!!!
I cry every single night. Nobody knows the pain I feel inside. But one day the whole world will finally understand that pain when I inflict it on humanity.
Wait don't hurt me I did nothing
So you bought the A35 instead of the A55? 🤷♂️
Witch one have better cameras
How can I zoom in and out in a 50 Pixel mode of Galaxy A55?
I think the A55 is a midranger
Does a55 work with verizon sim?
Do these phones have stabilized videos?
Yup🎉
Sadly the Samsung 23 fe doesn't have an sd card slot
A35, a54, S23 fe. Needing to buy a phone for my kids. Im torn between these. They are 10. They dont need to play on these, they have ipads for that.
S23fe
Update, they got the s24. Had a trade in deal that made the phone 12 bucks a month each. They got lucky.
tf u buying ur kids phones?Let them play outside
Yeah I don’t think they really need a phone AND a tablet at age 10 😅 but you can raise your kids however you want.
Any big issue with using the A55 in the US?
What issues have u encountered? I am trying to decide to buy the A55 but bcuz it wasn’t released here in the USA some are saying the 5G won’t work or that it will work in only certain areas or that only 4G LTE it’s the highest it goes.
a55 = no 5g in US, totally crippled.
there is no way around it
UNUSABLE in US.
no 5g in US!
I have a Samsung Galaxy a14 5g barely works half the times its 2023 now apps dont work on my current phone
These days its better to get a well balanced mid rsnge smartphone. A55 i believe is one of them.
Hey bro i want to buy the A35 is it better🥺🥺
A55 is better. But A35 is also a good option
@@littleregrets8810 thanks for the tip
Buying the A35 is buying the A54 for less...
@@denzylibe5229 so you're saying i should buy the a35 right
I am looking to replace my a71 what phone would be a good upgrade?
Nothing phone 2, OnePlus 12R or S23 FE (snapdragon version)
iphone 13 pro
Same here i compare between a35 & A55, also look for s23 ultra but huge amount to pay, so i think between a35 and a55 is better than among a35 A55 and s23 ultra, as budget, cause A71 IS Amazing phone with sm 730G
Was future phone @2021
@ahmedmaged2723
There budget phones though im looking at the one plus nord 4 although i would love sd card
@@n3l3shNO VoNR on iphone 13. TOTALLY OBSOLETE.
Help. In my country the cheapest A55 128GB 8GB ram version brand new is 360 dollars, while the cheapest A35 256GB 8GB ram is 316 dollars?
WHICH one should I go for? My current storage space on my old phone is 95/128GB full and I only play Boom Beach and light games.
If you play Light games only, and don't need the "little bit" better camera quality of A55. Then yeah the 256gb model of A35 is much better and affordable option for you.
Heavy games will also definitely run on A35, just maybe occasional lags and frame drops, which wouldn't bother me that much.
@@u-sama7786 I went with the A35 a couple of days ago. Just feels so much better and softer in hands than the A55.
The A35 5g from Consumer Cellular has a LCD display
10:28 *Nostalgic!*
I saw a 55 sell at auction a grade unlocked but in second hand for 355 recently
11:24 Did you say no wireless Qi charging? … That’s a shocker
Hate to be a downer but I found the Samsung galaxy A15 is suctable to malware.
Hi just ordered A35,
Do people get insurance for them?
Just asking UK buyer.
बकवास मोबाइल है भाई बिल्कुल मत लेना। मैंने ले रखा है और सैमसंग के इंश्योरेंस के साथ। 8gb 256gb
Super great value for the A35. If I dont have the S23+ right now, I'll probably get that.
No speaker test?
Isn't the A35 just the A54???
How's the camera?
Its midrange and under midrange so the camera's are fine but nothing more. For good camera's you need a top model.
Very detailed comparison!
The fact that A55 doesn't come with a charger is so annoying
here cause A35 5G is more expensive here during black month...
Using my S21 for 2 years now. Android 15 will also come in this beast. Should I upgrade to A55 or A35 or go for used S22 or S23?. Please help me whoever is reading this comment.
Não, S22/S23/S24 está dando problema na tela
Așteaptă s24 fe
why would you want a used phone? years ago i got the used phones from my mother (galaxy s2 and s4) after around 2 years of use, NEVER again! used phones tend to be slow and are, because they are older not worth the prices. my last Phone was a A21s and i just bought a A35. if you dont want to spend the money on a S than get a mid-class A or M. if you dont have the Money for those get a cheap A 05 15 or 25.
Can u do a compare for s20fe vs a35
*A55 comes with a high performance AMD GPU in it.*
What about heating issue in a35?
Not something I experience personally, but I don’t mobile game much
I want to buy a35 for 10 years, still can't 😁
