- An off the cuff video recording while on a stroll in to Barnsley town centre, reveals more than what one first could have imagined... From a couple of brief interactions with PCSO's, to a simple unfortunate breach in security twice in less than 20 minutes. This did not appear to go down well with the manager as the manager appeared to be more focused on anything but his own security concerns!
When businesses up and down the country make reference to heightened security, perhaps businesses should start reflecting on how effective their own security measures actually are!
On a different note, security was sharing misinformation stating that people need peoples permission to record in public spaces... the rest is now history in the making!

Its Barnsley is a joke through and through
The current ACPO guidance states that "PCSOs should be recognisable to the public as police staff, but visibly distinct from sworn police officers".
Policy doesn't outweigh the law I wish people would understand this
The market manager needs to be re trained or sacked ,He should be reprimanded as soon as possible you don't treat the public like he did when given a responsible job like hes got
Barnsley Market is brilliant. The stallholders are great but the council attitude to them, not so great, bordering on dismissive. BMBC are making it more and more difficult for traders to operate and make a decent living. I'd encourage everyone to visit Barnsley Market and see some of the famous stalls such as Sailor Sid's Sweets and Mr Singh's. You saw Keith's Meats in the footage. Please come and show your support for one of Yorkshire's best indoor and outdoor markets.

In all fairness to the manager when he went inside he was probably told you were 1 of those attention seeking Frauditors so he thought as your someone with no relevance or anyone important he wasn't gonna wast his time with ya,fair play market manager 👏👏👏

It annoys me when PCSO’s or police refuse to answer questions and refer you to media or 101 yet they expect you to answer a million bloody questions when they ask and then when you refuse they throw their dummy out the pram. why can’t law enforcements speak to people. This is what is lacking with today’s Police. No regard for customer service.
The market manager or market official doesn't come across as professional at all. No introduction of who he was or the capacity in which he was acting.

So in this day and age of current climates and such. The public are surprisingly relaxed. Despite being reminded frequently by the authorities how terrified we ought to be. Makes you consider that the esteemed protective services have a vested interest in reminding us of our peril? But no that can not be true because they protect and serve us.

A PCSO once asked me if I had a police record. I said "Don't Stand so Close to me" and they thought I was being offensive!
At 22:51 the sign doesn't state no photography, just no smoking, no vaping, no cycling and guide dogs only. IMO 99% of the time the no photography policy is made up on the spot or there would be a no photography or no cameras sign on every shop door.

Market Manager is very perplexed even though he should be concerned for his market security breach of security. Lady security Guard she seemed OK herself some what doubtful but remained clam..
You would expect all police uniforms from all constabularies to be uniform (the same) as they used to be before they all went para military, thinking they are in the SAS. A constable in uniform can stop you under the Road Traffic Act but how do you know he is in uniform if the uniforms are not the same (apart from county badges etc). We see different hats, baseball caps, helmets etc, combats tucked into boots or out of boots, some high viz, some not, different types of high viz (why do PCSO's need ammunition pockets etc. Come to think of it a PCSO can detain for 30 mins but can they handcuff? If not why are they carrying handcuffs????

In body language that means he is trying to avoid hearing what is being said or because he has difficulty making a decision as what to do next because the situation doesn't come under his training and he can't intelligently work out what the best course of action is.
