Episode #40 discusses Starlink, Iridium Go, Garmen Inreach, Sim/ESim Cards and the Single Side Band Radio (SSB). I discuss each device in detail. Specifically how each device performs and where are the redundancies across the board. Also what is the cost of using each device on a monthly basis. Being the captain of a boat means having the right tool for the right job. As sailors we know it is imperative to be able to talk to someone inshore as well as pull a forecast anywhere on the planet. All of the above devices are adequate to accomplish these tasks. Some more efficient than others but at the root level all four can get the job done. Regardless of which primary device you choose it is equally as important to have a redundancy. I go over this in detail.
