  • In this video, Captian C.A. Richardson will be talking about keeping things simple and to the point. More often than not when anglers are struggling on the water it's a result of overthinking and trying to do to much. By following the K.I.S.S formula it will help you be more successful on the water in more ways than 1. Let us know in the comments below if you found this video helpful and share what steps you like to follow on the water to consistently catch fish.

PADDLETAILS are the BOMB! After better than 60yrs, like yourself, I have a big wall of tackle to pick from. And, You’re RIGHT, power-fishing Paddle tails can cover more water quicker than any other lure I’ve ever thrown. They vibrate so the fish can feel them, and find them. You can easily work them in any preferred part of the water column, and they can easily, and quickly, be changed out for a different color combination as conditions warrant thru out the day. Yep, KISS !!!

Hahah. True stuff. Jimmy gives me a lot of flack for my changouts, but honestly I've radically simplified along these very lines in the past year.
Coming from Palm Harbor with the abundance of Eel Grass, I have a long-standing aversion to open Jigheads, but I also know I lost one good fish on a sight fishing cast today as, while the rigging hook is weed friendly, the rigging hook can also negatively impact hooksets.
Today was my first day out with the new Shimano GLFC70M. Very impressive rod for the price. Noticably slower than the SWC-7M, but great for lures in the upper end of the lure weight range.
Thanks for another excellent and information session. You are really the best for advanced techniques in a simplified and approachable way.
