I completely agree. As a kayak fisherman, I'm done taking loads of tackle just to only fish 2-3 lures. One box, 3 rods, and a few other small things. Keep it simple!
Zman plastics will “melt” when you mix them with regular soft baits in a box. Just keep them in the bags you will have no problems and they are a must have for sure
And it's normally the other plastics melting on the Zmans , not the Zmans melting on the other plastics. Learned that the hard way myself. But I'm 100% Zman only from that day on
After opening a bag of soft bait I end up putting the soft bait and it’s bag into a zip lock of its own. Sometimes the oils leak out of the bait bags. Keeps your tackle box cleaner.
They are educated professional salesman it shows they were in the stock market you know there is a lot of shady deals go down I get tired of videos and emails You gotta have this buy this and that you still need to find the fish I cancel my membership think about it you 20 % but after tax and shipping wow you save pennies lol
Z-man makes slam shady paddletails and they work great. Also their power prawn is the best shrimp lure I've used. C.A.'s beer run color is one of my favorites though.
I'm not a huge Salt strong fan but that Slam Shady kills the reds down here in Texas, the elazatech, not the regular plastic! I should use zmanns other products, because they are a better material for all of the reasons you mentioned.
Tried the z man shrimp for the first time in the greasy prawn color last weekend. Caught 2 trout and a flounder in a little under an hour! I’m a fan of z man!
I’m certainly a believer. It’s with your expertise that I used the power fishing method with the 4” diesel minnowz and a 3/16oz trout eyez and I’ve never had inshore success like this. Trout, and flounder have been my best but I’ve snagged a few puppy drum too. Just the other day I spent 8 hours on the water with one plastic and one jig head and caught 26 keeper trout. Many thanks for your helpful tutorials.
I m not a pro angler, I m just a dude love fishing, and hello from NOLA. Thanks for videos. My experience Using Z man little over 1,5 year, last longer save u money, action in water amazing. Cought some many fish with them and not planing to change it with any other company. My motto keep it simple & like capt says match the hatch.
Every time I hear someone talk about how they tried Zman lures and didn't like them, I compare it to using braided fishing line. When I first started with braid I had to learn some new knots, I had to manage my line differently. At first I hated it, but once I learned how to make it work, I realized how many benefits an advantages it has over mono. Zman is the same way,. You have to use some different hooks and rigging methods, but once you learn what to do it's amazing how much better zman lures work and produce over traditional plastisol baits.
I use to be a big doa , slayer fan for years. Started going to my local shop ( Betts fishing center ) and got to know one of the guys ( Jesse wright ) and he would joke around with me and say stuff like you need to try Zman you'll save so much money in the long run. Well , I decided to grab a pack of 3" MinnowZ in Badshad and pack of trout eye jigheads. Got a few solid snook on one bait , they didn't rip or get destroyed which was amazing and shocking. Fast forward a few years later I'm strictly Zman user now. 3" minnow is by far my favorite profile to throw. Because everything eats it small fish and the big fish. ( Like they say " elephants eat peanuts too " ) normally pair them with either a Swimbait eye or a weedless eye 2nd profile would be the 4" JerkShadZ on a chin lockz or trout eye depending on the depth I'm fishing. The JerkShadZ has been a favorite bait of mine to toss in late fall and winter. I honestly believe the haters of Zman are truly talking out their rear ends. Best baits on the market imo
Thank You for your video’s I love to kayak fishing give 30 years of bass tournaments about 5 years ago my first was like a bass on steroids lol Iam still trying to take less is more
Ever fish Corpus Christi? We have a lot of dirty muddy water here. A few nice, clear days, but mostly pretty muddy. What colors would you suggest for those muddy clear blue days?
I was one of those guys people you are talking about are bass tournaments fisherman I did that for 30 years 20 rods in the boat and 35 boxes of baits lol
You said in the begining you would teach a trick to weld the bait when its wore out. I watched video 3 times but couldnt find the secret. Please share it
Ronnie- that depends on depth as well! But a scenario where you might have some decent current and 6’ of water 3/8oz works well. Whereas 12’ of water with current 1/2-3/4oz would be necessary
Plenty of videos online with trucks driving over a Buzbe box, ladder drops from 10’ high… even a guy shot it with a gun! I’d say way more durable than Plano for sure…
My man I’d have to ask my son and the young guns at the office! Honestly if it were up to me it would end up being a Johnny Cash or Allman Brothers intro tune 😅
I’ve been through a bag of zman lures before they are stretchy but damn toothy fish shred them. Puffer fish suck. I save money and just get DOA get 12 vs 5 in a bag
Z Man is tough and catches fish. But I wish it got bites like Gulp. If we could combine the 2 and make a tough bait that gets bites like Gulp it would be better than bait.
I fish as much as I can, but honestly don’t ever wash my boat. I guess I do flush the motor and wash the junk off the inside floor a little bit but not too much on the outside since it gets just as nasty the next time I put it in in the water kind of like what’s the point

just dont use other soft baits.
This is true I done it lol

Plastic worms grubs etc. have been big no no mixig together for years. Some will melt older plastic box's.
Wow, a TH-cam video that wasn't trying to sell me Slam Shady.
😂

Z-man paddletails and jigheads are the best hands down. I need to try out their shrimp lures.
@@SaltySeaCaptain The shrimp lures are hands down the best and last all trip
@@CASPAINTINGtipsandtricks The salt strong power prawn lures are very good as well.
Thank you Capt CA. Great help.
Whatever you've done with your inshore recording setup, your sound is greatly improved.

im a believer! I buy man diezel and they are amazing how they last even on flounder and dragging rocks!
Great info and video, but when are you going to weld these amazing baits back together? Keep up the great work. 👍🏼
I'd love to see a flagler episode. I've had some great days here.

Ha. Nice watch CA! Got one just like it! Love your stuff man!
I love "over the hook eye" tip
DieZel MinnowZ in Slam Shady, Creole Croaker, and New Penny are my go to’s. Rigged on a red eye Trout EyeZ jighead they are deadly.
Thanks for the video! You didn't have to worry about any bugs!
Not with that wind howling at 20 plus mph
Can’t go wrong with the buzbe boxes, zmans and the chinlockz, Texas eyez and pro bullets!!
You’ve been paying attention 👏🏼
@@flatsclasscharters we need that Bloody Mary Sunday in the jerk shadz!
How do you recommend to retrieve a paddle tail???
I 100% agree!! That all i use.
I was one of those guys people you are talking about are bass tournaments fisherman I did that for 30 years 20 rods in the boat and 35 boxes of baits lol
You said in the begining you would teach a trick to weld the bait when its wore out. I watched video 3 times but couldnt find the secret. Please share it
Does that one beer include flushing the motor?
I have the same z man lure for 2 fishing trips it's a lil lose but I caught a lot of fish with the same 1!!!
Killer Tide Baits are the only soft plastic you need model Power Shrimp
Do You keep the bait you glue on the hook as a set and put it in your tackle box or take it off?
Keep it set like that. A lot easier imo.
I think once you learn how to rig those Texas Eye jig heads, you can use their paddle tails and almost always have success
Absolutely true!
just curious what weight jighead would you recommend for high current i was thinking 3/4 to an ounce
Ronnie- that depends on depth as well! But a scenario where you might have some decent current and 6’ of water 3/8oz works well. Whereas 12’ of water with current 1/2-3/4oz would be necessary
Dear Flats Class, Tell us if Z Man makes a solf plastic Croaker bait?
So you can only use the man plastic on kinloch hooks other plastics don't work on chain locks
Great stuff CA! Question is it ok to store Z-Man baits in a plastic box, with only Z-Man baits? Thanks, John here🎣
Just keep them in bag they come in and store in plastic box works great and see what you have. Tight lines
Thanks for the info!
How durable are buzbe box top? I herd they shatter like a IPhone screen ? I have the edge flex but these intrigue me
Plenty of videos online with trucks driving over a Buzbe box, ladder drops from 10’ high… even a guy shot it with a gun! I’d say way more durable than Plano for sure…
Take care of it and they will last. Don't care what brand it is. You toss it around , rough it up no brand will last.
Its hard for anything to be less durable than planos
please tell me who the intro music is.i am a z-man fan.freshwater and salt
My man I’d have to ask my son and the young guns at the office! Honestly if it were up to me it would end up being a Johnny Cash or Allman Brothers intro tune 😅
no problem with those choices.throw some Hank Jr in there
I’ve been through a bag of zman lures before they are stretchy but damn toothy fish shred them. Puffer fish suck. I save money and just get DOA get 12 vs 5 in a bag
What is in your opinion, the best color?
Z Man is tough and catches fish. But I wish it got bites like Gulp. If we could combine the 2 and make a tough bait that gets bites like Gulp it would be better than bait.
I dip my Zman lures in my gulp container sometimes for extra flavor. 🤣that's about the closest I can get.
I fish as much as I can, but honestly don’t ever wash my boat. I guess I do flush the motor and wash the junk off the inside floor a little bit but not too much on the outside since it gets just as nasty the next time I put it in in the water kind of like what’s the point
here on miami z-man or any soft bait it is the worst of times, so I change to live or real bait
Another Suwannee episode would be awesome ca
That’s going to happen this season with a special guest!
What size chin lock for that jerk bait.
I have to use the zman minnow style jig heads with the wire hooks to use zman baits. Easy to switch baits and I don't have to worry about using glue.
Zman has the most durable soft plastics
Takes at least 1 beer just to flush the outboard….
Jay we could be friends… just sayin
We did share a meal at Eric & Moe’s this summer. I’m from New Bern.
I use Z-Man all the time, tt chinlock jerk shad combo is deadly, but for paddletails, NLBN out performs Z-Man in almost every scenario.
