Jackie is a true legend of the US history, I adore her personality, her style and dignity! This house should be kept as the museum, bought by the state, so we could visit it in the future, everybody who has sympathy for her personality.

Jackie hated this house. She was at the lowest point of her life drinking heavily and suffering from insomnia. With only Bobby Kennedy to comfort her.

There is this idea that after the loss of a partner one should not make "major" life decisions for a year. Jackie obviously needed to settle somewhere quickly. She was smart enough to realize sh would not disappear from people's radar, but she probably didn't gt how invasive th curiosity seekers would be.Who knows what was in her thoughts at that time! Eventually her marriage to Onasis got her away from watching eyes to a degree. her move to NYC allowed her to create a life for herself that included work, socializing and a man, that though she never married him became a constant companion.

Onassis had famous mistresses (Princess Lee Radziwell, Maria Callas) but he went for the top prize, the most famous of them all. Actually, Mrs Kennedy asked him to be her husband, and he dropped the others for her. That's the main reason Jackie and Lee had such a strained relationship. Her sister "snaked" her target.
