Thanks very much for uploading this. The difference in taste of both the OL and VL espresso shots can only be down to the different brew methods of both machines. OL is "conventionally" brewed espresso, using good old fashioned pressure to extract the coffee, and VL uses centrifugal force to brew, which ends up tasting more like a filter coffee, rather than espresso.

When they were designing a machine (the Vertuo) that could produce a large mug of coffee, they realised that a conventional pressure extraction espresso machine would not be capable of producing a large mug of well extracted coffee. Hence designing a machine that uses centrifugal force to brew.
Love a head to head comparison! Very excited for the comparisons for the Forest line. I've tasted all of them side by side (black) and found they were very different. Curious how they change with milk.
Ordered a sleeve of Kona last night for $24.00!!! Says sweet almond and walnut? Never having tasted Kona I'm curious but not enough to keep paying that kind of price and why does the description of the flavors and prices vary so. Never really a coffee drinker but got a Vertuo and now - here I am

Tried the Kona today for the OL, was not to fussed for it. Found it’s taste much better in the VL.

That could be it, they were very different. Would be fun to see if they ever release a Vertuo style that is pressure

My sister got tye Kona for the vertuo. Said not worth it.
Yeah it was ok, as just a shot. But overall the original is better.
