  • Were Mormon teachings racist? Were the prophecies direct revelations from God, or merely fallible man's opinion? Watch a summary of the history and background of the LDS church's teachings concerning those of African descent, as well as Native American descent, that were given as revelation by God to Mormon prophets.

      @Cameron Battle Wow, you can speak for God? Holy crap, we have a prophet here people! You are so powerful that you can tell God what he can and can not do! What are you doing hanging around us imperfect mortals and wasting your time on youtube?

    • @catmani2
      @catmani2 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Cameron Battle No, you said "My God Yahweh would not allow Catholics and especially Mormons into the kingdom of heaven" therefore telling God that he will not do something. Either you are more powerful than God and can tell him what to do, or you are speaking out of your backside and actually don't know what God will do.

    • @catmani2
      @catmani2 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Cameron Battle Catholics do not believe that Mary has even close to the same power as God. They believe that she will help intercede for them to Christ who then forgives their sins. They believe that she can do this because she is Christs mother and just like any loving son, they honor their mother.
      Mormons do believe in a prophet, (not going to get into the validity of any religion on this comment)but they also believe that it is only through Christ that they can be saved. (same with Catholics)
      So, what is needed to be accepted into heaven? That is the question. If the qualification is that they accept Jesus as being the Savior of the world and their salvation from sin, and live a good life, Mormons and Catholics follow that.
      Now, as for your faith, if it is a form of Christianity, then it is actually a breakaway from the Catholic church at one point or another. Now, how can a true religion break away from a false one? Unless you had a prophet like in times of old (does your religion claim to have had one) how can it happen?

      I get the impression that you're simply making a dig at Christianity rather than confusing Mormonism as a Christian denomination, but if you did mean the latter: Mormonism isn't Christian. They might tell you they are, but virtually no other Christian denomination recognizes them as such.

      +Keith Harris Well technically they believe that any color can reach Godhood. And that God is the Father of all, and Jesus Christ became exalted above all except the Father, and Satan fell from his status and became the devil because he renounced God and fought Jesus Christ. This is consistent with Biblical teachings.

    • @sesquipedalianloquaciousne4035
      @sesquipedalianloquaciousne4035 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The apotheosis, extraterrestrials, and brother thing are not consistent with the Bible, silly! The Bible only mentions the devil as having come to earth 'as lightning', which could just as easily imply it being a primordial aerial version of leviathan and behemoth. Its description as a multiheaded dragon, on the other hand, is a metaphorical reference to the Roman emperor who preceded Nero, the metaphorical 'beast from the sea', aka the 'antichrist'. From a biblical point of view, 'antichrist' would simply be anyone who is against Yeshua. I REFUSE to call Yeshua 'Jesus' OR 'Christ(us)', by the way, if only for historical reasons, and this is coming from an atheist. As for the obvious alien-worship, this is obviously inspired by the idea that some if not all gods worshipped by humans are actually aliens. I personally think that some gods are based on aliens on a case-to-case basis. The way I see it, if these 'Kolobite' aliens did exist, they would not only NOT be gods, but they would be using Mormonism as a way to control human minds, and if Mormonism is any indication, those aliens would be VERY malicious, except for maybe what Mormons call 'Satan', who would not even be close to the biblical devil by any means, would likely be on humanity's side, and would be trying to protect humanity from its malicious fake-deity/fake-angel brethren with its allies. If this is so, then this alien 'Satan' would be the 'Satan' of both Luciferianism and Satanism, and would likely be dissatisfied with how both turned out. Then again, alien Satan would probably be no better than the Kolobite 'Elohim' faction. All these aliens, again, would not have anything to do with the Bible.

    • @Nyrufa
      @Nyrufa 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      You've never seen it, because you (like a great many other christians) have never read the book. It says that beating your slaves with an iron rod is perfectly acceptable, as long as you don't kill them. And if what you say is true, that there is no evidence that God has ever spoken to anybody, then how in the hell can you or anybody else claim to know how he feels about us? Telling people God's intentions when he has never specified them is *even more ridiculous* than telling people that a 6,000 year old religion endorses slavery and barbarism.
      Also, if you're wondering why I said 6,000 instead of 2,000 years, it's because the Jews and Muslims were worshiping this guy long before Christians came into the picture.

    I think it's pretty simple to figure out why they suddenly allowed non whites into the church in 1978, MONEY they want more money plain and simple. It always comes back to the MONEY. Worship God, and forget about any man made religion. People join church's as they feel security in numbers. I've always been a lone wolf, I carry my church on my back, and I try to be the most loving, compassionate man I can be. There's one rule that covers it all, treat others as you would want to be treated, praise God.

      I'm probably going to get quite a bit of backlash for this; the very nature of the video has the comment section full of ex-Mormons or Mormon haters. However, I would like to put in my viewpoint( sorry it is a bit long; there are no two-sentence statements that can fix or explain an issue of this magnitude). I'd like to look at time frames, look at the church nowadays logically, and look at this spiritually.
      I understand completely how hard this video is to watch. The unfortunate truth is there was horrible racism in that time. These quotes are extremely harsh, but the tone is far from being unique to LDS church leaders.
      Slavery was abolished in the United States in 1850. Segregation continued all the way to1964. The harshest of the quotes are from this time or sooner. This type of language was commonplace in all of America regardless of religion. The few quotes from the 1970's, while still hard to read, take a more historical tone discussing the lineage of Cain.
      With this in mind, even with this cultural setback, Men and Women of African descent could be baptized as members of the church basically right off the bat (even when slavery was still prevalent. The church started in 1830, 20 years before slavery ended). Additionally, there was never segregation in the church meeting houses. Yes, most were banned from the temples at the start, but the LDS faith was one of the first to start mingling multiple races for the actual study of Christ. Some even had temple access and priesthood from the start, though, it was later challenged such as for Elijah Abel.
      Now let's look at the church nowadays logically and worldly. Let's assume that the church is just a big hoax and has no spiritual salvation. What are we left with? We have a worldwide, non-profit, powerhouse of an organization that puts focus on Educating people (programs such as Pathway which helps non-English speakers learn English and makes tuition half off for a college degree) and Relief for all. Every ward has a relief Society whose main objective is to help others. Additionally, It is quite the spectacular organization system that breaks areas into different branches, stakes, and wards allowing any member to reach out to a person in leadership who can actually do something; one of the Bishop's main duties is to look out for the welfare and financial needs of the members under him. One of my favorite quotes in an old news program is when one of the reporters covering a story on the after-effects of Hurricane Katrina stated: "The two organizations that have donated the most are the Church of Latter Day Saints and the Mormons" (gotta love how nicknames cause humorous misunderstandings). Right now the "Mormons in yellow shirts" are one of the main driving forces in helping those hit by Harvey and Irma to get their houses back in order. Throw spirituality in there and we have a program designed to help people overcome weaknesses (such as reliance on drugs or alcohol), help those learn to grow (such as assigning members to be teachers and leaders), and of course, bring everyone closer to Christ. The LDS faith is an organization of service. I don't understand those who find fault with this and try to convince others to stop serving their fellow man.
      Now to get back on topic of the curse of Cain. If it is false, then the church is still a fantastic asset to the world and is an opportunity to do much good. If it is true, then there is truth to what was stated. I chalk up how it was stated (and all its harshness) due to the time of when it was stated.
      I am a personal believer in the latter along with the other doctrine and teachings of the church. This is where the plan of salvation is perfectly designed. The purpose of life is progression. Even if there are premortal sins that are being accounted for, the atonement and gift of Christ make it possible to overcome these along with our earthly sins. If half of the world were doomed to be in eternal slavery, they would have no purpose of living a life of learning and proving oneself. The fact that we are here is proof to me that there are opportunities to get past this.
      The church is an ever growing, and ever-evolving, religion. It is important to realize there is a distinction between doctrines, church policies, and cultural customs. Doctrines are rigid, from God directly, and generally, have to follow set laws of the world. An example would be ordinances such as needing to be baptized to enter the kingdom of God or relying on the blood of the lamb in this earthly life (either done through the law of Moses, or later through the sacrament which is a higher ordinance for the same purpose). Doctrines are generally unchanging at their core but can evolve, save it is from God and follows his logic and laws.
      Policies are the day to day running of the church such as when Sunday meetings went from an all-day activity going back and forth from church to home, to the now modern condensed three-hour block. Policies are namely controlled by the first presidency.
      Cultural Customs are things we just do out of habit and is not churchwide. An example would be many church meetings in Utah starting 5 minutes late to run on Mormon Standard Time.
      Now, who can get the full blessings of the church is doctrinal, that is to say, through God. Over 2,000 years ago it was restriced to only the Jews (the chosen people). After Christ, it started to spread to everyone else (the gentiles). When the church was restored after the apostasy, it again had a restriction on a people; those of African Decent. Why is this? The short answer is because God said so. We can theorize, but in the end, we simply do not have the capacity to understand the laws at play or are not ready for them at this time. One possible theory (not supported or doctrinal)is a premortal sin needs to be converted to Christ back in the spirit world, but in the end, we have no idea.
      I understand completely how this is not the most satisfactory answer. Some questions in life will likely not be answered until the end. Keep in mind that any injustice or perceived injustice has a plan to be rectified. There is a millenium set aside specifically to get these covenants to those who could not get them in the flesh. The video highlighted all the darkness, skewing the overall view. If the entirety of the 1949 Statement from the First Presidency is read rather than just the highlighted bits, you realize what the message being stated is.
      Ultimately Camoron, how you take and handle this is a personal resolution between you and our Heavenly Father. I have a similar issue with eternal marriages having the possibility of polygamy. I don't understand it. What I do understand, however, is my God's love for me. I have felt it. I have experienced his support for me in all that I do. Perhaps someday I'll have a better understanding of how the whole polygamy thing plays into the greater scheme of things. In the mean time, I trust the Lord is leading my life in the path that will give me the most happiness based on my experiences with Him. I can continue to try to better myself and have faith in the Lord.

      "yes you let them no that it is not true. that are not suppose to add to the bible or take away from the bible. that at the end of the bible. if they are bible people and love god like they say that they do." -Actually, Scripture says to not add or take away from the Gospel. The Gospel is different than the Bible. The Gospel is the good news that Jesus came, died and resurrected for our sins. That's all that the Gospel is. Mormons preach that. They are preaching the Gospel.
      The Book of Daniel says to not add or take away anything to "this book". "This book", means the Book of Daniel not the Bible because the Bible was not compiled during the time of Daniel. By compiling the 66 books of the Bible into one book, you are "adding" to the book ergo the only way for the Bible to be true is if "this book" actually means "this Gospel". Mormons don't add or take away from the Gospel. The Gospel is their whole message.

This was pointed out to me by an individual (Harry Able Potter) attempting to divert attention away from the actual topic. @Kenzie K Hey kenz, I saw what you had talked about earlier in that case there the church tried sneaking an LDS judge to be the Judge in that case. Such a sleazy church. I mean the judge "forgot" he just happened to be a member of the LDS church who testified " i know the church is true" and " the church is perfect" and maintains didnt think that would matter at all? Oh and then just didnt think it at all important to raise the fact he was raised int he very church where this abuse occurred and was there at the time it occurred? Seriously?
      I find it interesting the Bishops who are being thrown under the bus by the church were the ones who raised the fact the judge wasn't being forthcoming. Oh, but he is in a different ward now, so, that should mean he could be completely impartial regarding a church which he is required to say its true?
      To be clear this is someone who must answer no to "Do you support or promote any teachings, practices, or doctrine contrary to those of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?"
      And MUST answer yes to,
      "Do you sustain the President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as the prophet, seer, and revelator and as the only person on the earth authorized to exercise all priesthood keys?
      Do you sustain the members of the First Presidency and the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles as prophets, seers, and revelators?"
      I know of No church on earth except for destructive cults that would require members to answer that crap. It shows there is no way on the planet the judge could ever be impartial and he knew it.
      The top Morons in the LDS hierarchy are all called "seers", ok According to lds "scripture" a seer is ( will copy and paste from the LDS offical website)"A seer knows the past, present, and future. Anciently, a prophet was often called a seer (1 Sam. 9:9; 2 Sam. 24:11).

      24 Let her say unto the Egyptians, she is thy sister, and thy soul shall live.
      25 And it came to pass that I, Abraham, told Sarai, my wife, all that the Lord had said unto me-Therefore say unto them, I pray thee, thou art my sister, that it may be well with me for thy sake, and my soul shall live because of thee."
      What's interesting about this whole incident is your "god" wasn't even right as, according to the tale, Pharaoh find out about it anyway and doesnt kill Abraham at all, he does chastise him for the deception, but doesn't kill him. But the author of the Book of Abraham was a dolt that married a child, so what do you expect. I also find it telling that a Mormon Missionary such as yourself has to turn to ex and Never Mormons to find stuff in his scriptures for him.
      Now the rest of it.
      "Int he History of the church your false prophet claimed this "god" you worship sent an angel with "sword drawn" to take his life unless he married all those women (a lot of whom were other men's wives) and a little 14 year old child." Clearly, she isn't saying Abraham here, as Abraham married only 1 other woman who wasn't someone else's wife (which the real God showed extreme distaste for and resulted in huge problems for the Jews to this day). Clearly by "false prophet" she means the false prophet Joseph Smith, she didn't say its in scripture now did she? No she didn't, what you did there is called a "straw man argument", its where someone like you lies about what someone is saying then attacks that misrepresentation to somehow discredit the person. Its a common trick for Mormons.
      Now, your church published a series of articles called essays on its website. In one essay published on the LDS church website titled, "Plural Marriage in Kirtland and Nauvoo" we find what she is talking about. Your church writes:
      "When God commands a difficult task, He sometimes sends additional messengers to encourage His people to obey. Consistent with this pattern, Joseph told associates that an angel appeared to him three times between 1834 and 1842 and commanded him to proceed with plural marriage when he hesitated to move forward. During the third and final appearance, the angel came with a drawn sword, threatening Joseph with destruction unless he went forward and obeyed the commandment fully."
      Now, in the same article it says:
      The youngest was Helen Mar Kimball, daughter of Joseph’s close friends Heber C. and Vilate Murray Kimball, who was sealed to Joseph several months before her 15th birthday.
      Now since the ONLY reason your (as she puts it) your "god" gives for plural marriage is to "replenish the earth" in section 132 of D&C your false prophet" HAD to save sex with the child he married (and no, it wasn't common at that time as actual recorded history shows, since your church lies about that all the time as well) or else he woudl be going against his commandment. Once more, telling that you have to have a Never-Mormon explain what your church publishes.
      "Second, me saying that I refuse to believe something is obviously just expressing my disbelief in something."
      -you are saying she is a liar. That is exactly what you did and was clearly your intention.
      " As you had yet to cite any sources it sounded and still sounds ridiculous. Not that is or isn't true (I haven't looked it up). " Ok, just because you are ignorant and refuse to look anything up that is your fault, nobody but you is at fault for your ignorance. You cant paste addresses on youtube, but like your own essay and scriptures which you refused to look up and that took me 5 seconds to find. The lawsuit is very well known, but I am not going to argue legal fact with someone who refuses to even read up on what he is blabbering about.
      "So quit you bawling about me indirectly calling you a liar, it honestly sounds ridiculous. Especially after you called the church I go to sleazy and the people who attend racists and perverts."
      Show me where she said that, you are lying again little man, why do you keep doing that?
      And you did this on what you call the sabbath after you promised your god that you wouldn't sin at all next week. You come straight on here and start going at it. The one brawling here is you, YOU are on a page where YOU arent even man enough to watch the video you are commenting on and YOU are the one fabricating lies about others. In short, you are acting like a LDS social Media Missionary.
      " Do you honestly think that the people in the church are a bunch of racists? " Did she say all of them were? Again you are lying again, you keep doing that. Your church most certainly is, you didn't even watch the video so once more you show you dont even see what others are saying and try to argue with them. Your church has a huge history with racism with its teachings highly racist and your "prophets" said it came directly from your god. But you couldn't even look in the Book of Abraham so its not like you are an authority on anything you talk about.
      So we see you are reading comments you just chose to lie about them.

    American civil rights law was NOT the reason the Mormons restored their priesthood to black men. It was because they built a temple in Brazil before they realized that almost all Brazilians have at least some African blood. They had built a temple that almost no one could attend. They had to fix that by allowing the priesthood and temple attendance to blacks. You need to correct this.

      Dave Mitchell There were certainly lots of facets that led to the ban reversal, the Brazilian temple conundrum is likely one of them. Actual divine revelation is the only thing on the list of explanations I'd confidently rule out. The truth is that there's *so* much more that could be said on this topic, the video wasn't meant to be comprehensive but rather to spark people's interest to study the topic on their own. It could have been an hour long, I only wanted it to be 5 minutes or less, it was a hard decision, the longer it is the fewer people would watch it, but any shorter and I would have been omitting very important content. The Book of Mormon still retains race-based sentiments and most members still believe parts of what is shown in the video. Seminary teachers were still teaching it into the nineties, (mine did). Even now, church leaders still justify the priesthood ban as having been part of God’s plan. It’s wrong.

      There were never only two human beings, one of which being a clone of another.

    • @sigmata0
      @sigmata0 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Grant, ah no.
      I don't know what you think adaption is that is different to evolution by natural selection. Adaption is the heart of evolution. To make such a statement means you obviously don't know what evolution is, nor what evidence there is supporting it. It includes the DNA in your body by the way. Sorry to break it to you but if you think that wasn't the case you have been indoctrinated.
      With regards to a global flood, no such beast. There have been large floods, just not global in quality.
      If you had to think about it for more than a minute you would realize the ecosystems around the world would not have survived such an event, nor would we.
      The genetic diversity we find in life is at odds with such a water based catastrophe. We would be able to see evidence historically and biologically of such an event. Just as we do with the asteroid which brought to an end the dominance of the dinosaurs. You are at odds with reality here.
      If that doesn't convince you think about your personal immune system. Why are organs rejected when they are implanted in other humans? If you don't know go look it up. Compare this with the cheater for instance.
      Of course you are not about to acknowledge any of this because you have decided all the evidence is incorrect while not knowing what it is or why it is evidence.
      All you are doing is reciting a belief about the world, not a report about reality.

      Michael Lords! No God's law has not been changed. It still stands to this very day. Take a look if you would with me to Matthew 24:35 KJB - Heaven and Earth shall pass away, but my word's shall not pass away. Jesus's law! he wrote with his own fingers when he gave Moses the 2 table's of stone with the Ten commandments written on them. When people say When Jesus gave himselfe up on the cross upon calvery to die for our sins and now what we dont live according to the Law anymore cuse where saved by grace and so the Ten Commandments we don't live by them anymore🤔? Really. Than I will ask them to please explain to me Matthew 24:35 what is that telling you. Cuse to me it says that God's word will never turn back void. And quit frankly I say what ever God says It gos no questions asked. For he knows all and sees all. But no the law still stands for today. But!! We have all broken the Golden rule better known as the Ten Commandments. We are all sinners! It's true of you and true of me. Isaiah 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the Iniquity of us all.

    I recently had a meeting with two female Mormons and thought that it was bible they had in their hand when i asked them for help. It turned out that God only put them in my life in order for me to have an exercise for me to be able to deal with my anger and learn how to deal with differences properly. But what I learned about them is that they will turn their backs on you if you say that you will not be converting as you are in a place in life of exploring to find out what the truth really is. They WILL stop all communication. They will also invite the elders into meeting you have without telling you and surprise you with that as you are on the ay to meet. They did not like my questioning them with questions like, "Is one to listen to Joseph Smith, or Paul?" One of these ladies gave the other a very strange look when I mentioned the bible and I found it fascinating that as I walked the girl back to their car in being a gentleman, when they opened the trunk of their car, there was a BIBLE inside! As far as their race ideas, the bible says in Genesis 14:7, "I (God) will make you (Abraham) the Father of ALL nations (ethnicities!)!" I HAVE black friends as a white man and find it very disturbing that the Mormons would say this! I also found it very sad that just because I would not convert that tases pole dropped me like a hot potato. This only shows that they do not really care about others and that they only want to CONTROL others. That is not loving AT ALL!

I have been told by "Christians" that me longing to be loved since I never knew my mother is being prideful and selfish! Isn't doing good works something the follows "Jesus free gift of salvation?" As Paul says, "since grace abounds does that give one the right to continue un sin? May it never be!" Since I am saved, am I not to do "good works" and use my tithes and offering to feed the homeless in my own "backyard?"Am I not "working for my salvation" by resisting continuing going to strip clubs and going to hookers like I did in the past (especially when I used to do that when I was forced into mens groups against my will)? If "it is finished," then why wasn't sin eradicated permanently 2000 years ago? I used to WORK for a cult, or at least a business that was on the borderline of being a cult when the owner claimed to be a Christian, yet he refused to let men and women work together due to the "temptation of sex," yet his son-in-laws were the bosses of all the women, and two ladies ended up getting pregnant out of wedlock (and one of the men that did the deed was hired after the fact) Rules were constantly broken...by the owners wife and he was a totalitarian who instilled fear into everyone who worked for him! I was brainwashed by that "Christian" company and became absolutely TERRIFIED to even talk to a lady...and you should have seen how I WEPT...while on the clock after I left that cult and worked with a group of ladies, (one of them was by boss) for the first time after becoming entangled in that place! THAT is Christianity??? NO THANK YOU! I think I will go out on my own and ask Jesus directly, "Who are you" instead of me believing some man made denominational interpretation of the word!

    I remember when I was a Mormon. I join the Mormon church because a friend of mine was Mormon. They taught that the reason black people were black was because it was The Mark of Cain. Later on in life I'm at a Baptist preacher who set me straight. Mormon religion was created by a man who wanted a harem of women. Their Book of Mormon has never been proven to be true at all they know it yet they cling to this crazy religion. People just don't want to believe that John the Baptist was the last prophet of God. So they create a new religion and claim that they are indeed the last prophet of God

    The LDS church recently tried to do a sort of reparations ceremony marking the 40th anniversary of the lifting of the Mormon priesthood ban on Africans. Prior to 1978, Black Mormons couldn't get married in the LDS temples, get sealed to their families, or do the things that are required for members to gain entrance to the fictitious Celestial Kingdom.
    Rather than say that the ban was a mistake, First Councilor Dallin Oaks of the LDS church doubled-down on the priesthood restriction not having been a mistake, but instead tried to downplay the awful things that Mormon leaders said for 150 years as being unofficial, even though it was presented as official at the time. Here is what he said:
    "I observed the pain and frustration experienced by those who suffered these restrictions and those who criticized them and sought for reasons. I studied the reasons then being given and could not feel confirmation of the truth of any of them. As part of my prayerful study, I learned that, in general, the Lord rarely gives reasons for the commandments and directions He gives to His servants. I determined to be loyal to our prophetic leaders and to pray - as promised from the beginning of these restrictions - that the day would come when all would enjoy the blessings of priesthood and temple."
    In the book of Acts we learned "God has shown me that I should not call any man common or unclean." We are all accepted by Jesus when we accept His grace. There never was a divine curse or prohibition on the African in Christianity. African blooded people are not the seed of Cain as the LDS church told it's members forever, and many members still believe it.

    Fellow Africans and also people of the African dispora know the Lord created us beautiful and unique and this way. And please as a biracial person myself I don't mean just "mixed race" people either I mean all African people partial and full , are beautiful and unique. Most of you might not know Moses' (yes the prophet Moses) first wife was a (not mixed) Black Kushite Ethiopian Princess named Adoniah (aka Tharbis) that Moses' brother Aaron and Sister Miriam didn't approve of for that reason probably and The Heavenly Father was angry about this and gave Miriam leprosy for a week (it's a contagious skin disease where your limbs fall off) and which left her isolated (as they were considered unclean and not allowed to join society until and if they could be healed and pronounced clean). She assumed Moses was acting in contrast to God's expectation of Him because He married her and The LORD put her in check. He knew people in future would use our colour against us when He made us this way, so He put her in her place real quick!!! Praise our LORD who loves all His Children not separating them by colour or appearance.
    Numbers 12
    Numbers 12 New King James Version (NKJV)
    Dissension of Aaron and Miriam
    12 Then Miriam and Aaron [a]spoke against Moses because of the [b]Ethiopian woman whom he had married; for he had married an Ethiopian woman. 2 So they said, “Has the Lord indeed spoken only through Moses? Has He not spoken through us also?” And the Lord heard it. 3 (Now the man Moses was very humble, more than all men who were on the face of the earth.)
    4 Suddenly the Lord said to Moses, Aaron, and Miriam, “Come out, you three, to the tabernacle of meeting!” So the three came out. 5 Then the Lord came down in the pillar of cloud and stood in the door of the tabernacle, and called Aaron and Miriam. And they both went forward. 6 Then He said,
    “Hear now My words:
    If there is a prophet among you,
    I, the Lord, make Myself known to him in a vision;
    I speak to him in a dream.
    7 Not so with My servant Moses;
    He is faithful in all My house.
    8 I speak with him face to face,
    Even plainly,[c] and not in [d]dark sayings;
    And he sees the form of the Lord.
    Why then were you not afraid
    To speak against My servant Moses?”
    9 So the anger of the Lord was aroused against them, and He departed. 10 And when the cloud departed from above the tabernacle, suddenly Miriam became leprous, as white as snow. Then Aaron turned toward Miriam, and there she was, a leper. 11 So Aaron said to Moses, “Oh, my lord! Please do not lay [e]this sin on us, in which we have done foolishly and in which we have sinned. 12 Please do not let her be as one dead, whose flesh is half consumed when he comes out of his mother’s womb!”
    13 So Moses cried out to the Lord, saying, “Please heal her, O God, I pray!”
    14 Then the Lord said to Moses, “If her father had but spit in her face, would she not be shamed seven days? Let her be shut[f] out of the camp seven days, and afterward she may be received again.” 15 So Miriam was shut out of the camp seven days, and the people did not journey till Miriam was brought in again.
    Joesph smith spoke lies, weren't his family occultists and wasn't he training to be a Freemason before? If so I don't think his an accurate source of information especially 1800 years after the death of Jesus to represent Him well. For the same reason Neither would Muhammad or The Jehovah's Witness church.
