I grew up in Roma (Italy) but i refused Catholicism, because it felt fake to me, at the age of 7 to become an atheist. In my late teens i started to study religions again, and got a particular interest in Islam.
I accepted Islam at the age of 23, and 31 years after i am grateful to be a Muslim and never looked back.
All the best to those who are on their spiritual search journey.

Insightful as always Paul, thank you.
I'm now on my 'third' faith after a shaky start to life as a monotheist. I was baptised in the CofE as many were back in the day, whether your parents were practising or not. I converted to catholicism in the early 90s following research into my family background; it was a matter of luck that I wasn't born RC considering the ethnicity of some my grandparents. And honestly I was also drawn in by the iconography/imagery which can have a powerful affect on a 'visual' person like me. Like you, I started to unearth aspects of the church/Christianity teachings that just didn't sit well and I couldn't reconcile these.
Fast forward 15 years or so, I read the Qur'an, went to classes about Islam, read widely and have now embraced what, for me can credibly claim to the 'true faith' of monotheistic belief. Quite a journey but what I had to take to find the right path, alhamdulliah.

So some Christians like me believe in Arianism. God can manifest in three ways to man but only in one format at a time. So what does the Bible say happens one day. There is a new earth and a new Jerusalem and a new king who replaces Adam and His name is Jesus. Where is God. The Bible says He is way past many heavens in His own heaven and that is where He rules the universe from. Who will we see? Jesus. He will be the only God we will ever see because the Bible says that the fullness of the Godhead dwells in Him completely. Notice it does not say He is God. So maybe Christianity has confused you and that is exactly what Satan wants to do.

Just found your channel, similar story here. After turning to Christianity, I studied at the Bible college. After returning from school, our pastor came with doubts regarding the divinity of Christ. In about half a year, a number of people left the church due to doubts of Bible, Christ, Trinity. I soon learned about the code 19 in the Quran and became muslim. Alhamdulillah! I am grateful Allah has been kind to me, may He guide you and protect you!

I am Muslims, and it is not good to believe in code 19 as it is not consistent with all parts of Quran, your believe should not be based on code 19, but on the message itself in the Quran :)
Again, it is not as consistent as u and others might think, so don’t fall for the code 19!
Read the part of the verse talking about 19 angels carefully, also watch Norman Ali khan videos regarding it.

Romans 5 - King James Version
18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. (offence of one - Adam's one trespass, one sin, led to the condemnation of all men - the righteousness act of one was Jesus' death on the cross to pay for human sin)
Salvation is not getting your sins forgiven, it's believing they already are!
We are all sinners and fall short in God his glory - how to be saved - this is the gospel of salvation - 1 Corinthians chapter 15 verses 1-4 by trusting and believing the gospel of salvation you are saved and sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise till the day of redemption and nothing can pluck you out of the Father his hand - (In whom we have redemption through his blood , even the forgiveness of sins: (Colossians 1:14 - King James Version) - eternal security is a free gift - it's a promise and God Almighty cannot lie!!! John 10:30 - I and my Father are one.
Isaiah 9:6 - For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
John 20:28 - And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.
John 8:58 - Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.
      G - GRACE

      A - APPLIED
      C - CHANGES
      E - EVERYTHING
Religion is always dealing with you and what you're doing and what you're not doing,
anytime you're sitting around thinking what should I be doing you're under religion,
the grace of God is dealing what Christ did.
Under religion man always says look what I'm doing for you God and under grace Christ says look what I did for you man.
Under religion man says look how I went to church under the grace of God Jesus said look how I went to Calvary.
Under religion man says look at how I was raised in my denomination and under grace Christ says look how I was raised from the dead.
Under religion man says look at how I gave my money and under grace Jesus says look at how I gave my life.
Under religion man says look God at how I confessed my sins and under grace Jesus says look man how I took away your sins.
Under religion man says look God at how I stood up against sin and under the grace of God Jesus says look man at how I died for your sins.
Under religion man says look God at how I judged the lost world and under grace Jesus says look man at how I saved the lost world.
Under religion man says look God at how I got up and marched against these evildoers and under grace Jesus says look man how I suffered and died for evildoers.
Under religion man says look God at how I bow down to you and under grace Jesus says look man and how I became one of you.
Under religion man says look God at how I healed the sick and under grace Jesus says look man how I raised the dead.
Under religion man says look God at how I spoke in tongues and under grace Jesus says look man at how I spoke in life.
Under religion man says look God at how successful my life was and under grace Jesus says looked me at how successful my death was.
Religions my friends is always man trying to reach up to God with self effort to be accepted by God.
Through classic Christianity was God reaching down to man through Jesus with love and acceptance and that's why Paul said we preach Christ and Christ crucified a stumbling block to the Jews foolishness to the Gentiles but to those whom God has called both Jews and Gentile Christ the power of God and wisdom.
      Source ''Truth Time Radio''.
Like many "Christians" today, Satan believes Jesus died on the cross, but not for HIS sins. He believes Jesus has risen, but not for HIS eternal life.
Satan believes the event of the cross but never put his trust in Christ's finished work for salvation.
Salvation is not: Believing there is a God. (Satan believes that)
Salvation is not: Believing Christ was the Messiah. (Satan believes that)
Salvation is not even... Believing Christ died, was buried and rose the third day. (Satan believes that also)
Salvation is: Believing Christ died for YOUR EVERY SIN and trusting that He rose to give you eternal life IN HIM!
Something Satan and most Christians want no part of because of their PRIDE!
If denominationalists truly believed Christ forgave their sins, they wouldn't spend so much time trying to GET them forgiven.
One tells you to pray for forgiveness.
One tells you to confess for forgiveness.
One tells you to believe for forgiveness.
One tells you to repent for forgiveness.
One tells you to be baptized for forgiveness.
And keep in mind, all of these folk with a straight face will tell you Christ DIED for your sins. Welcome to Nutsville!!! I think Dorothy got lost on the yellow brick road.
Today I unapologetically proclaim that there is only one way to be saved, and it has nothing to do with getting your sins forgiven. Salvations through FAITH. (Ephesians 2:8-9) Without faith it is impossible to please God.
Salvation comes to those who are ready to give up on THEIR performance and rest their faith in JESUS' performance.
The path to salvation is narrow. SO narrow that nothing you do will fit.
Satan will never be saved for the same reason he was kicked out of heaven. P-R-I-D-E. (Isaiah 14:12-14)
Read carefully and count how many times he says "I".
How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
      Satan is obviously a Narcissist!
Like a vain person in front of the mirror, five times in only three verses he boasts of himself. Pride keeps Satan from being saved as it does most of the world. They have fallen victim to SELFIANITY and are incapable of letting go and letting God. Incapable of taking their filthy hands off their salvation and allowing God to save them by HIS finished work!
If you say --- "I said a prayer for forgiveness." "I confessed for forgiveness." "I believed for forgiveness." "I repented for forgiveness." "I was baptized for forgiveness."
Then sadly you have fallen for the five I's just like Satan.
Salvation is not getting your sins forgiven, it's believing they already ARE!
To be saved, you must first get "I" out of the way.
You only get two educations, the one you're given and the one you give yourself!
Source ''Truth Time Radio'' for solid teaching/rightly dividing the word of truth - also here on youtube - learn the truth and unlearn the lies!
Here is a list of statements that a legalist might say or think.
      1. God's love for me depends on what I do.
      2. Meeting the expectations of others, especially those in my congregation or in positions of authority, is very important.
      3. I try hard to obey God and it irritates me that others think they can get away with avoiding the same level of dedication.
      4. My main goal in life is to try to gain God's favor by doing things that will impress him.
      5. My sense of spiritual well-being is linked to a Christian leader or membership in my church rather than a personal relationship with God.
      6. I tell my children not to do something in church or around other Christian families that I allow in my home.
      7. I believe my way is the best way and that most other Christians may be sincere, but are sincerely wrong.
      8. I sometimes worry that people might take advantage of grace if it's preached too much - people might think they can do anything they want.
      9. After being around Christians for a while I feel drained - weary of putting up a false front.
      10. It’s not possible that someone with lower standards than me could love God as much as me.

But you obviously respect her as a sister because Allah says he ordained the Gospel and Torah (Bible) and says we are just in our use of it:
‘He has sent down upon you, [O Muḥammad], the Book in truth, confirming what was before it. And He revealed the Torah and the Gospel previously, as a guide for people, and ˹also˺ revealed the Standard ˹to distinguish between right and wrong˺. Surely those who reject Allah’s revelations will suffer a severe torment. For Allah is Almighty, capable of punishment.’ Surah Ali’Imran 3:3-4
      Validating God’s words cannot change:
‘And the word of your Lord has been fulfilled in truth and in justice. None can alter His words, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing.’ Surah Al-An’am 6:115
I’m sure she’d be happy to learn she can line up for a few beatings:
‘I said: Messenger of Allah, may my father and mother be ransom for you, and then I told him (the whole story). He said: Was it the darkness (of your shadow) that I saw in front of me? I said: Yes. He struck me on the chest which caused me pain,’ Sahih Muslim Hadith 2127
      And all the other wonderful things Muhammad promoted like;
      Marrying a child:
‘Khadija died three years before the Prophet (ﷺ) departed to Medina. He stayed there for two years or so and then he married `Aisha when she was a girl of six years of age, and he consumed that marriage when she was nine years old.’ Sahih al-Bukhari 3896
      Being Racist:
‘Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "You should listen to and obey, your ruler even if he was an Ethiopian (black) slave whose head looks like a raisin."’ Sahih al-Bukhari 7142
‘I have heard the Apostle say: 'Whoever wants to see Satan should look at Nabtal.' He was a sturdy black man with long flowing hair, inflamed eyes, and dark ruddy cheeks.’ Ibn-Ishaq 243
Pagan gods (thought Satanic revelation was from God):
‘Now, have you considered ˹the idols of˺ Lât and ’Uzza, and the third one, Manât, as well?’ Surah An-Najm 53:19-20
Being Demon possessed (and trying to kill himself as a result):
‘The angel came to him in it and asked him to read. The Prophet (ﷺ) replied, "I do not know how to read." (The Prophet (ﷺ) added), "The angel caught me (forcefully) and pressed me so hard that I could not bear it anymore.’ Sahih al-Bukhari 6982
‘But after a few days Waraqa died and the Divine Inspiration was also paused for a while and the Prophet (ﷺ) became so sad as we have heard that he intended several times to throw himself from the tops of high mountains and every time he went up the top of a mountain in order to throw himself down, Gabriel would appear before him and say, "O Muhammad! You are indeed Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) in truth" whereupon his heart would become quiet and he would calm down and would return home. And whenever the period of the coming of the inspiration used to become long, he would do as before, but when he used to reach the top of a mountain, Gabriel would appear before him and say to him what he had said before.’ Sahih al-Bukhari 6982
Calling for slaughter of unbelievers (wouldn’t an almighty God want peace and as many saved as possible like Jesus preaches):
‘Kill them wherever you find them, and drive them out from where they drove you out, as Fitnah (to create disorder) is more severe than killing. However, do not fight them near Al-Masjid-ul-Harām (the Sacred Mosque in Makkah) unless they fight you there. However, if they fight you (there) you may kill them. Such is the reward of the disbelievers.’ Surah Al-Baqarah 2:191
Exalting Jesus (1st as sinless and uncorrupted, unlike Muhammad & all human beings):
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "When any human being is born. Satan touches him at both sides of the body with his two fingers, except Jesus, the son of Mary, whom Satan tried to touch but failed, for he touched the placenta-cover instead."’ Sahih al-Bukhari 3286
(2nd as Allah’s “word” making him eternal):
‘Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "He who bears witness that there is no true god except Allah, alone having no partner with Him, that Muhammad is His slave and His Messenger, that 'Isa (Jesus) is His slave and Messenger and he (Jesus) is His Word which He communicated to Maryam (Mary) and His spirit which He sent to her,’ Riyad as-Salihin 412
(3rd as the Messiah which can only be the OT Jewish messiah which is Immanuel - “God with us” making Jesus God [al-Masih means Messiah])
‘Water was trickling out of them. He was leaning on two men, or on the shoulders of two men, and he was circumscribing the Ka'bah. I asked, What is he? It was said: He is al-Masih son of Mary.’ Sahih Muslim 169
Finally, dying the prophesied false prophet death:
‘And if he (Muhammad ﷺ) had forged a false saying concerning Us (Allah). We surely would have seized him by his right hand (or with power and might), And then We certainly would have cut off his life artery (aorta), And none of you could have withheld Us from (punishing) him...’ Musnad Ahmad 107
‘The Prophet (ﷺ) in his ailment in which he died, used to say, "O `Aisha! I still feel the pain caused by the food I ate at Khaibar, and at this time, I feel as if my aorta is being cut from that poison."’ Sahih al-Bukhari 4428
If we’re going to pretend Christianity is false and illogical let’s make sure we are aligning with something morally better not far worse then we’ll understand such a feat is impossible,
      “1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
      2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:
5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
6 If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.”
      1 Timothy 4:1-6

Then I studied Islam (which I had passed over disinterestedly in college) after 9/11 and realized that all the things I still believed and those I did not anymore were all contained in the Islamic faith. There are numerous verses in the Quran instructing Muslims to follow the example of the prophet Muhammad peace be upon and to obey him especially in the aspect of worship. We are told in many verses of the Quran to obey Allah and obey his messanger and that without a shadow of doubt he is inspired by God to convey message to the people

The Qur'an is not even a thousand years old, so in comparison to the total time spent by God sending messengers, a thousand years is a mere speck of sand in an hourglass that falls till judgement day. The New Testament writers weren't prophets (pbut) and didn't claim to be and no one knows who even wrote them with certainty. So yeah there is a difference and logic behind it. And it matters that the Gospel of John came that much later because people claim it was written by a disciple but if it was written in a certain time it clearly was not written by a disciple or eye witness as the claim goes.

For example in some parts (only some and by far minority) of my country (i.e. Turkey) parents may be unwilling to give heritage to daughters or there may be blood feuds (again very little amount but still there is even after 100's of years of muslim existence) which are clearly against the principles of Islam. So seeing our own selves from another perspective may be very useful for improving our own selves and communities. May Allah give blessings to all of us in this world and hereafter. Best wishes.

It's like listening to my own story. At the beginning it was difficult to realise or acknowledge. But then it became such a strong realization that I had to accept it and to make kind of a list, just like you, what I believe and what I don't. I was in this state for few years, thinking and looking around for others like me. I thought it should be somewhere a group, It can't be just me who thinks the way I do....And I sincerely asked God for guidance. And I discovered Islam. It was an eye opening experience, I found it logical and making sense for me, like: yes, this is exactly how I understand relationship with God. I also liked that there is kind of complete life instruction from daily life to spiritual things. After another few years my mind was convinced about choosing Islam, but the problem was that my heart wasn't there. It's like I was accepting it rationally, but wasn't completely connected spiritually, emotionally (hard to explain), it's like it didn't penetrate my heart yet to feel I'm part of it, part of brotherhood.
So I decided to give myself some time, I went to Islamic centre to take some classes and give myself a year to think if I can accept it or maybe walk away (because it was a life changing decision, not easy, I had worries how people around would react so I have to be certain before I do anything).
And very next day it just happened, it was unexpected, just during the class as I was listening to a lecturer it's like I woke up or came to awareness that I feel it, that I am Muslim. All my worries were gone at that moment, and instead there was one - I have to say shahada, if I don't do this today I might die tomorrow not being one.
I believe what happened during that class was a gift from God, guidance I asked before, because in a sense I came one person to the centre and left it being another one (with light of believe). I'm 49 now, and that was 18 years ago.
PS Oh, and by the way, I took it quite seriously after that. I went to Syria to study Arabic and continued into studying Islamic theology there. But then war started and I had to leave. Haven't finished. But happy to be able to read Quran and Ahadeeth myself, opinion of scholars and be able to come to conclusions myself. that was important for me, not to be dependant on translations only.

@@bluellamaslearnbeyondthele2456 "mushrikin" means peoples whom associate with God (Allah in Arabic ,Elohim in Hebrew) other gods (idols in this case). Arab mushrikin thought that worshiping those idols help them come closer to God. Mohamed (PBUH) told them to worship Allah alone and discard worshiping any other god or deity.
what Cool Desert Knight said is a mockery not a defense. And what Flaperons said is simply a lie. You can check for that on Google or (if you like) any Islamic center.

@@aymenhakim3136 as much as appreciate your answer or rather, you answering... I have to ask another more uncomfortable question.
So you make a distinction between Mohammed's diety and all other disqualified gods, that are deemed idols, because they have some form?
Is this just a tangible to non-tangible transition?
(Christians would have statues or paintings of diverse entities, yet still would be considered of the book.... But it still is kind of that simple.)
So Allah would be a diety that is less tangible, plus, it has biblical roots (Gabriel, monotheism, plagiarized passages taken over with a certain filter... )
Mormons do the same thing though. Swear on slapping the right book onto the NT and claim continuity.
Is the Mormon god an idol?
One could probably look at many invisible, no-statue, gods like these.
So why are you associating with the right one and not them?

    • @aymenhakim3136
      @aymenhakim3136 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

@@bluellamaslearnbeyondthele2456 I will try my best to answer your question, however please note that I'm not a scholar and I have a shallow awareness of the of the differences between Christians sects. So I cannot highlight the exact issue on a particular sect like someone who already able to do comparisons. I will talk from a "pure" Islamic view along with my understandings. If this is not sufficient you may need to consider talking to Muslims whom are more in contact with Christian culture. Yet I hope my answer will be useful to you.
When I say God or Allah or "The Creator" I refer to the Supreme Being who created and sustain this whole universe and who made an awareness of his existence in every human being along with a basic understanding for his attributes. Be careful: I've said awareness of his existence not his name. names are more or less labels. And they differ from one language to another. But this is a big claim. right? Unfortunately this claim is deniable.
But think a moment about that: what makes peoples from most religions to agree on most of God attributes "naturally" and assume easily that what they are telling each others about God is understandable even that they are fully aware that their religions is different? it is as if they are implicitly agreed at some point that God has such and such attributes and that they are just reminding each others of such information. for that you find that they usually rather than asking:"do God in your religion do xyz?" say firmly:"God does not do xyz!". This is not (only?) affirmation of what this person think but an assumption that the listener have what it take to understand and (hopefully) comply. Please note that this is not a "proof". This is a sign.
As a conclusion: it's futile to to think that peoples could fail to recognize which god we are talking about when we refer to him as The Supreme Being, The Creator and Sustainer of the world. However, peoples differ in what they associate with God in terms of attributes and other claimed gods.
Now that this has been clarified let's return back to some points:
      * Arabs idol worshipers does not worship idols only, they worshiped God (Allah in Arabic language, the supreme being, creator and sustainer) and idols. As I said in the earlier comment, they associated with God other (false) gods. They thought that those other gods represented by idols will help them to come closer to God.
      * Christians where also considered among the mushrikin because they associated with God two other entities (at least): Jesus (PBUH) and Holy Spirit. We consider Jesus to be one of mightiest messengers of God, and Holy Spirit to be the Angel Gabriel. And we consider that all messengers of God come in order to instruct peoples to worship God only. Lot of debates occurs here. if you are interested consider watching the most famous ones on youtube.
      * You need to consider that in case of scriptures, it's totally normal to find similar stories. In fact When you consider that God is unpleased by the deviation of doctrine, fabrications and interpolations in the bible: it really make sense to resend those stories and instructions (corrected) to the peoples. this is not plagiarization. It's up to God Almighty to decide when and where he will send a prophet and what kind of content he know to be appropriate and useful to peoples!
As an answer to your last question: there are many factors I cannot even summarize them in a comment (I've actually spent some hours on writing this comment so far, trying to make as few grammar mistakes as i can while be precise and clear about what i wrote) so i will chose two factors among them:
      * All prophets before Mohamed(PBUH) have instructed their peoples to look for the next prophet (or at least to simplify this discussion does not claim themselves to be the seal of prophets), this make their followers obliged (in religious context) to look for those prophets and follow them. If Mormons or any other sect reject the message of Mohamed(PBUH) then they must have strong evidence to reject. Until now despite of the debates I watched (Muslim/Christian, not Mormon in specific) I cannot find one.
      * As a Muslim I didn't find other religions that came close to what Islam present on many aspects. In fact many peoples converted/reverted to Islam because they got answers they didn't find otherwise. maybe this factor sounds too personal. but yeah it's a legitimate one.
I hope you found this useful. And I think I have answered your questions either directly or indirectly.

But fortunately (in my opinion), ustman didn't capable to change every verses, the easiest way was adding the verses, he has did it. While he and his companion didn't have capabilities to removed n changed all verses, that's why there are so many contradictions

2011, Dr. Keith Small published a thorough comparison of the popular modern Quranic text to 22 other copies of the Quran, including many of the earliest manuscripts we possess as well as several medieval manuscripts and one modern edition of the Warsh text used by many Muslims in North Africa and Yemen. He focused his work specifically on Surah 14:35-41.8 In just these seven verses, he found nearly 350 variants among all the manuscripts he examined. The vast majority of these variants were mere matters of spelling conventions and lettering systems that have absolutely no effect on the meaning whatsoever. 21 variants, or about 6% of the total, were plainly copyist mistakes in the particular manuscript in question. There were 17 variants (or 5% of the total) that did, in fact, affect the meaning of the text but even here the impact on the meaning was typically rather minor.carm.org/have-there-been-changes-in-the-quran
Only 1 religion can be true logically, truth is that which corresponds to reality. Dear Muslim we love you but Surah 4:157 denies the historical event of the Crucifixion. Surah 4:157 in the Quran denies the historical event of the crucifixion of the Lord Jesus Christ which historians, scholars, and professors say is a fact, alongside angels (Mark 16:6), prophecies (Isaiah 53), and Jesus who said He would be killed/crucified (Luke 9:22, 24:44-47, Matthew 16:21, Mark 8:31, 9:31, 10:33-34). One of the most certain facts of history is that Jesus was crucified on orders of the Roman prefect of Judea, Pontius Pilate. (p. 162) - Bart Ehrman JD Crossan, in The Historical Jesus: [there is not the] slightest doubt about the fact of Jesus’ crucifixion under Pontius Pilate. Gerd Ludemann, A Historical Inquiry, 2004: Jesus’ death as a consequence of crucifixion is indisputable. (p. 50) “The evidence for life, the death, and the resurrection of Christ is better authenticated than most of the facts of ancient history.” (E. M, Professor of Classics at Auckland University), Any unbiased document scholar will agree that the Bible has been remarkably well-preserved over the centuries. Copies of the Bible dating to the 14th century AD are nearly identical in content to copies from the 3rd century AD. When the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered, scholars were shocked to see how similar they were to other ancient copies of the Old Testament, even though the Dead Sea Scrolls were hundreds of years older than anything previously discovered. Even many hardened skeptics and critics of the Bible admit that the Bible has been transmitted over the centuries far more accurately than any other ancient document. There is absolutely no evidence that the Bible has been revised, edited, or tampered with in any systematic manner. The sheer volume of biblical manuscripts makes it simple to recognize any attempt to distort God’s Word. (Gotquestions) Most sources in ancient history have 4ft, the Bible goes over 2.5+ miles Norman Geisler states “There is more evidence that the Bible is a reliable source than there is for any other book from the ancient world.” The beauty of the Bible, It was written by 40+ authors in a span of 1500+ years with 66 books in 3 continents remaining consistent throughout it all fulfilling 2500+ prophecies backed up with 25000+ archaeological evidence, contains more manuscripts and data recorded in history with 57000+ manuscripts, more than any other work of antiquity even with over 2.6 million pages of texts. For the New Testament 24,000+ with 5,800 Greek manuscripts, etc. We have all sinned against the Holy God, every lie, theft, bad word and we deserve Hell, but Jesus, being truly God truly man willingly died for our sins to take the punishment for us and rose again offering salvation freely to those who turn to Him by faith alone in what He has done for them. You and I, we broke God’s laws, whether you have have lied or stolen, said a bad word, hated someone, looked with lust, blasphemed (saying OMG), so on. A just judge is going to punish guilty criminals for their crimes and we deserve to go to Hell for our willful crimes, but, God in His love despite our hatred toward Him, made a way for sinners to be forgiven without violating justice. He took on flesh in the person of Jesus Christ. He lived the sinless life we couldn’t, and then offered Himself on the cross as a sacrifice for sin. You see, God is perfectly Holy, Just and Good. His justice means Hell for those who are guilty. According to Moses God won’t leave the guilty unpunished, God Is infinitely more just than a human judge, and a just judge is going to bring forth justice for those who break the law, and God will righteously punish sin and condemn guilty sinners to Hell. God won’t sweep sin under a carpet, He is going to punish it. However, there’s GOOD NEWS! God made a way for sinners to be forgiven without violating justice. You and I broke, God’s laws, Jesus came to pay our bail! God Himself took on flesh in the person of Jesus Christ. He lived the sinless life we failed to do having the perfect righteousness, and then offered Himself on the cross as a sacrifice for sin. If you trust in Jesus He will take your dirty broken record upon Himself and be punished for you, and give you His righteousness as a gift! Imagine there’s a HUGE truck coming towards you while you are distracted, and before it hits you, someone whom you’ve spent your life hating runs into the road, pushes you out of the way and is completely crushed and slaughtered by the force of the truck for you, how would you feel? Well that’s what Jesus did for us when Jesus took the wrath of the Father that we deserved, was buried, then rose from the dead… showing the penalty fully paid! God offers salvation as a gift, you can either reject it or receive by turning to God through faith alone in the Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 5:8 “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Love you! Also some more errors in Islam. Like for example how Islam denies History and science and so on. Surah 7:157 says muhammad is in the Torah and gospels but is false and is never found in any text of the Bible. Surah 3:54, 4:171 say Jesus was Muslim but that’s historically false. Surah 20:85-89 says a Samaritan led the Israelites away from the golden calf during moses, this is false as Moses lived around 1400 B.C. Also Samaria wasn’t founded until the 9th century BC by Omri. Surah 2:125 and Sahih al bukhari 55:636 say Abraham built the Kaaba, this is false as muhammad said it was built 40 years prior to the temple in Jerusalem (Sahih al bukhari 55:636), the temple at Jerusalem was built by Solomon around 958 B.C. This is absurd because Abraham lived around 2,000 B.C. Sahih al bukhari 2658 says women are intellectually deficient which isn’t true, expert hands Flynn a scientists showed that women are equal or sometimes surpass men IQ. Sahih al bukhari 536-537 said severe heat of summer and the bitter cold of winter are caused by Hell breathing. Sahih al bukhari 3329 also says someone’s physical characteristics and looks are determined by whether the male or female discharged first during intercourse which is absolutely false Surah 37:6-10 says fire from shooting stars chase away demons who eaves drop. Sahih al bukhari 3263 says a fever is from the heat of hell fire. God is fully merciful and fully just and fully wrathful and fully loving and all that is perfectly shown at the Cross. Christ was the lamb sacrifice for our sins as they did back in the Torah with sacrificing lambs for a clear conscience, but Christ being our high priest took our punishment and God’s justified was satisfied as our sins were paid for now we can justly and mercifully be spared, not only justified but He sanctifies us so it’s a relationship, not trying to do this and that to try to earn God’s love with rituals and legalism just for a maybe on being saved. In Christianity God makes it perfect so we can have full assurance, perfectly balanced, God changes us and our desires and gives us the Holy Spirit so now out of a relationship, being 100% saved and being changed we want to obey. Keep in mind modern science arose from Christians in the 16-17th century, “The evidence for the resurrection is better than for claimed miracles in any other religion. It’s outstandingly different in quality and quantity.”-Anthony Flew. Also the beauty of the Bible, It was written by 40+ authors in a span of 1500+ years with 66 books in 3 continents remaining consistent throughout it all fulfilling 2500+ prophecies backed up with 25000+ archaeological evidence and contains more manuscripts and data recorded in history with 57000+ manuscripts for the New Testament with 5,800 and more Dead Sea scrolls 15 ancient sources, and it talked about anthropology, biology, entropy. 3000 years ago the Bible talked about the universe’s expansion and the earths unsuspension, the hydrolic cycle and so on before science even had a clue. The Lord Jesus is your only hope!!

@@irfanismail7783 Hey stranger! (TLDR NeedGod.net) I come in total love, I am no better than anyone here but please hear me out. Jesus did not come to save good religious people but the broken, lost, the outcast, sinners. You are valuable, not the product of nothing. “Atheism is senseless. I see the earth at the right distance from the sun to receive the proper amounts of heat and light. We already broke God’s laws, whether we have lied or sworn, looked with lust, hated, and so on, and like a just judge, God must justly punish criminals in Hell... but there is good news. Let’s say you break a speeding law, 500$ fine, all of a sudden someone pays it, nothing remains left for you to pay. So if someone perfect would be willing to take all of your Hell punishment and give you their perfect record you can justly go to Heaven because someone paid your fine. God in His love despite our hatred toward Him, made a way for sinners to be forgiven without violating justice. He took on flesh in the person of Jesus Christ. And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins." Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, "Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel," which being interpreted is, God with us.

After reading so many "pro & con" comments, I would like to say this to those who resist opening their minds to sound information. The "Christian" mentality propounded by Paul of Tarsus, not the thinker Paul Williams, has a lot do with that irrational "clinging" to a manufactured faith that Jesus (PBUH) did NOT preach to his followers.
    Now, the questions are:
    1. Is it out of "fear" of having to deal with the many duties & requirements of islamic teachings or simply the complacency afforded by the teachings of Saul (which by the way allows one to live a life of moral uncertainty, as long as they believe in the redemption that someone died for their sins, implying that they can keep sinning and not have to curb their immoral appetites) that so-called Christians "don't want to hear it".?
    2. Is it out of shear "blind contempt" to all things Islamic faith & teachings & duties & requirements?
    3. Is it because they lack the intellectual capabilities required for clarity of mind that may be conducive to the truth, a naked unbearable truth...?
    5. What is this reluctance of getting an education about Islam when 1.7 billion people and counting are telling you: not to embrace their faith blindly but to inform yourself, at least, so that you won't claim or wonder later on why no one said anything to you about this faith that is universal, hence all inclusive?
There is no such a things as "islamic propaganda" and there is not monetary gain generated from an invite to check a faith out. Because, the reward for preventing someone from going astray comes from the Creator of the universe, solely and NO ONE ELSE.
All the same, it is FREE WILL. Just gain some knowledge about it and if "it is not for you", no one is hurt amongst the Muslims ( because they will have tried to help) except that the burden still falls upon your shoulders of "sorting things out". Why? Because you wouldn't be arguing with Muslims on TH-cam if you were truly satisfied with your clinging to a faith that is NOT a true faith, after all!
Put your doubts aside, read what those who were in your shoes so adamantly, have to say about being wrong all along.
Here are some of Islamic scholars of western origin, whose advanced knowledge you may benefit from:
    1. Arnoud van Doorn (Netherlands)
    2. Joram van Klavereen (Nederlands)
    3. Dr Lawrence Brown ( USA)
    4. Dr Wilfried Murad Hoffmann (Germany)
    5. Leopold Weiss (Mohamed Assad) (Austria)
    6. Dr Jeffrey Lang (Math Professor)/ USA
    7. Late Dr Gary Miller (USA)
    8. Late Dr Maurice Bucaille (France)
    9. Late Dr Roger Garody (France)...etc
To quote only a few of the multitude of western scholars who were, formerly either atheists or Christians or Jews and, ultimately, embraced Islam wholeheartedly.
Do yourself a favor & do your homework.
    And thank Almighty God, later.
Just "read", that's also the first Koranic verse that was revealed to the Prophet of Islam (PBUH).
And peace be with you, brothers & sisters.
    Good luck with Almighty's guidance!
    Peace.

Evidently you never were a follower of Christ, or were a fair-weather friend, like seed sown on rocky ground. Jesus does not give eternal life and then take it back. t's not like Him to pull the rug from under one's feet.
Perhaps you are more concerned about intellectual 'propriety' than living with God, being part of His fellowship and household. Ironically, too heavy an emphasis on Reason can lead one into dangerous doctrinal shoals.
We do not have a perspective on your entire life. It is possible for a Christian to backslide for many years, even losing one's conscious identity as a Christian, and to return later in 'prodigal' fashion. However this is NOT to be recommended.
I could never understand the attraction of any non-Christian religion. For me the choice was easy: secular ideology or Christ. Leave the rest to cultural anthropologists. Muslims are as human as anyone else, and i've met some who were quite nice, but their religion is abominable.
As Jesus said, 'you shall know them by their fruits'. Do you really want to end up on the wrong side of history?

I follow your Theology Blog with great interest and this particular blog 'Why I am no longer a Christian' is absolutely fascinating. For the sake of clarity and so you are clear from where I'm personally coming. I also consider that, in the orthodox sense of the word, I am not a Christian but in the cultural, philosophical and historical sense I most certainly am. I cannot be other. All my thinking, my modus operandi/vivendi is Christian in its deepest nature simply by having been born into the European Judaeo-Christian world-view. These teachings, if you like, are ipso facto, the bricks and mortar from which our Western and Eastern European mindset engages with life. So when you say that you don't believe in Atonement, it is in a sense a denial of our mutual experience where throughout our lives European history has demanded, in countless bloody wars, that we, its citizens, pay the ultimate price in order to atone to save our families, our traditions, our sense of what is right. If we see Jesus's death on the cross as symbolic or even even as an elevated metaphor of some kind for that act of personal self-sacrifice that each of us, at some time in our lives, makes for the greater good, then in this sense alone we all believe in a divine act of atonement. Have you read Professor David Ford's latest book: 'The Gospel of John'. And if you have, would you agree that his insights into the writings we find in John purposefully limit factual acountability and try to focus our attention on the bare experience of reading that Gospel and living it. Many thanks again for you excellent insights. I especially enjoy your blogs on Islam. Dr Garry Bannister.

When I would eat something unhealthy it would race hard.
One night it was racing hard and a tall figure in white appeared and was praying towards the picture of Jesus in my room, he said something like “please don’t let him die from a heart attack”, then soon after he disappeared and I heard the audible voice of God tell me some stuff then that voice stopped then I felt my body being lifted and life being pumped back into my heart and I was healed thank God, Jesus is God and He is very loving and a miracle worker.

JazakAllah Khair dear brother. This was truly nice to listen to. The issues you spoke of are without doubt, problematic. One does not need to be Muslim to criticize these issues, as just like you said, Christian scholars and historians know very well that these issues exist. Dr. Jerald Dirks (Rahimahullah), a Harvard Divinity School graduateI and former deacon, learned directly from Christian sources about numerous errors and subsequently left Christianity due to what he found. He accepted Islam Alhamdulilah. His story can also be found online. I noticed that whilst I was Christian, I would direct my questions regarding aspects of historical errors, textual errors and fabrications towards the father of the church I attended, and I was flat out told to just believe and to never ask questions. The stark contrast to Islam that encourages one to ask questions and seek truth.

Thank you Paul for your explanation, which has some similarities to my reason on giving up on Christianity. Being raised in a Christian home going to church, Sunday schools and Christian camp in the summers I very much was a active Christian. Doing religious studies in school and planning my life at one point I had very seriously wanted to become a priest. To keep a long story short I too had problems with the new testament as it was inconsistent and contradictive. As a result I found myself heavily relying on the old testament. My main problem was with the divinity given to Jesus. And when you think about GOD Nd his attributes having a son would not be withing his nature. And the old testament GOD repeatedly talks about his oneness. With all this being said the GOD of the old testament vs the divinity of Jesus in the new testament do not add up. Not to mention when I got into the historical aspect of the Bible, that was the icing on the cake for me.

If God can become a human, he can become a monkey or an ant?! It is even rational to imagine the creator of the entire universe as such puny specs of creation?!
Creator of the entire universe comes out of the birth canal of His creation and gets humiliated, tortured & killed by his own creation?!
