It is all about IPS vs. VA-Panel. Samsung switched from IPS to VA-trash in 2017, in order to save costs. Ever since that, their models are not worth buying anymore. Best comparison I’ve seen between these 2 tv !! Thumbs up 👍 I’m debating between Nano90 and Samsung Q70 - Do the same things apply as this comparison? Or the outcome would be different ?
@@mxkxjr261 I ended up buying both TV’s for 2 different rooms in my house. The Nano90 for the living room because it’s always bright, and I need a wide viewing angle. I also got the Q70 for my bedroom, because it’s always dark and I watch from the center. Both TV’s are good. But Q70 is far superior in picture quality, And I like it more.
Those LG Panels are lps and have terrible black levels. This is where it starts and ends for me. I own a qled and the picture is great. The black levels are spot on, obviously not as good as oled but good. If I could afford the lg oled I'd have one in a breath. So I'm happy with my Samsung till I can afford oled.
Nanocell wins this one. I have a 2021 Nano 90, the setup is a pain in the ass but man once you get it setup it looks amazing. They always get so-so reviews from tests but real world watching they are a win.

Would you be able to confirm that? I'm very seriously mull the purchase over of this LG model and I would really appreciate your opinion.
Yeah i did notice it but just put it down to the settings it was in. Didn't bother to concentrate or adjust those settings as the test was more about the viewing angles and brightness 🙂
LG looks far better. Better colour rendition, better contrast, better viewing angle, and user friendly interface. It is cheaper than Samsung. Samsung Qleds are far more hyped and more expensive. Not worth it. Come down from the high horse Samsung or TCL and Hisense will bring you down.
High brightness destroys colors, Samsung has unnecessarily much brightness, LG still has natural colors and more accurate detail, Samsung loses a lot in angles, Nano technology is closer to Oled, qLED builds on high brightness that destroys colors and their range, less detail, Samsung still lags behind.
Very hard to say as they both have their strong and weak points. The QLED was very good in low light and is able to go brighter than the Nanocell, but the picture from the Nanocell did look better in daytime viewing.
I noticed on this video you have the contrast on the LG up to 100 while it is only set to 50 on the Samsung. I bet 50 is the default on the LG as well.
because the q 60 has only 60 hz and the nano 86 has 120 hz samsung has only 120 hz ind their 55 and + zoll tvs i got a nano 86 but i got hte issue that the black colors doesnt seem to seperate very well so if you play, some objekts ore skins tones get swollowed and you loose track of it . but the tv lookjs pretty well with non dark colors
LG looks better to me. I like the contrast and colors better, the QLED is too bright it washes the colors out and strains your eyes. I don't wanna look at that bright of a screen when I play my PS4 Pro for 4-5 hours.
Well it depends on the content as believe it or not my OLED can look brighter than some of the traditional bright TV’s as if it is a dark scene with light areas, the other TV’s will dull down the brightness of the light areas to stop blooming, where the OLED can maintain the brightness of the light areas. That said if it is outright brightness then I’d say my Q90R is the brightest that I have seen. When on a bright scene and the sunlight hits the screen it can really hit some high brightness levels.
Omg...the motion on the Samsung is like a slideshow. It’s absolutely night and day difference between it and the LG. Did you have AMP off on the Samsung or something? I know it’s only a 60Hz screen, but it’s BADDDD....really bad.
in the beginning part of the video i can see some image stuttering on the samsung when the camera is spanning around, while in the LG spanning video is smoother..Can you please have a check to confirm that?
Most people don't get there TVs calibrated...... therfore I would consider the fairest test would be with the settings as they are out of the box, as this is how the average person would use them.

@@Bezzer1975 This is what I've always said. The truth is the majority of people will just select a mode and then maybe make some minor tweaks and that's about it. If the truth is known, the average person probably wouldn't appreciate a calibrated screen and would probably be disappointed with the way it looks.Hence why in retail mode these TV's are demonstrated with over bright, over sharpened and saturated images, because that's what the average person is drawn to.
@@suliman9058 er ok.... think thats a bit different, not calibrating your tv isn't going to kill you now is it?. There are contrast and brightness settings for each TV to play with. The one setting comparison doesn't do the justice.
Lg qned 816 or samsung q60b? which one is better in a brighter room? please help me. I can not decide
From the video, LG has a beeter looking colors, probably because the IPS panel has much better wieving angles, compared to q60r VA panel.
Also could you compare these TVs with Hisense u7qf, it is prices a little bit lower for 50" version.
Which one would you recommend LG 50NANO753PA or Philips 50PUS8545/12?
Best comparison I’ve seen between these 2 tv !! Thumbs up 👍 I’m debating between Nano90 and Samsung Q70 - Do the same things apply as this comparison? Or the outcome would be different ?
What tv did you decide on ?
@@mxkxjr261 I ended up buying both TV’s for 2 different rooms in my house. The Nano90 for the living room because it’s always bright, and I need a wide viewing angle. I also got the Q70 for my bedroom, because it’s always dark and I watch from the center. Both TV’s are good. But Q70 is far superior in picture quality, And I like it more.
Always the best test/reviews..
Thank you
U can keep both the TV's. I just want a house as pretty as this..
Hi mate. Big fan of your reviews keep up the good work! Greetings from Germany)
Thanks
Great presentation! Thank you! You helped me indeed!
Put the LG in filmmaker mode and Samsung in movie mode
I do agree!!
Many thanks! You helped me!
Nanocell wins this one. I have a 2021 Nano 90, the setup is a pain in the ass but man once you get it setup it looks amazing. They always get so-so reviews from tests but real world watching they are a win.
Bro I have the same model as urs. Can u tell me the pic settings ? I’m having issue with dark room viewing . I have my dimming set to high . Still get that glow while in dark .
@@TechNerd41 try set local dimming to off
Samsung q70t or lg nano90 what do you think?
The LG wins. Washed out is not what you would expect from a Samsung, but there you have it.
Make a video about TCL C715 vs Samsung Q60T. Battle of the Budget QLEDS.
Hello bro what do you think about LG NANO81 VS SAMSUNG Q60 ? I don't know which one to get
Hello,
65" tv
Which is better Q90 T or Nano 91
for gaming, 2.2 HDMi, ALLM, VRR,
wich is better the black level?which is darker black? samsung or LG ?
The Samsung
@@TheTechGiantTH-cam thx
Could you please confirm a couple details about nanocell86 49 inches model? I heard that contrast is around:1300 of random model. Max. brightness: 520 nits, panel it's: 8bit+ FRC. Would you be able to confirm that? I'm very seriously mull the purchase over of this LG model and I would really appreciate your opinion.
There seems to be a lot of judder on panning shots on the Samsung especially at the start of the video. Are you not seeing that in reality?
Yeah i did notice it but just put it down to the settings it was in.
Didn't bother to concentrate or adjust those settings as the test was more about the viewing angles and brightness 🙂
please advise on a 75 inch QLED or NANOCELL ?
All depends what models
Thanks for that video! It seems that on paper samsung should be better, but I see something very different here.
Samsung qled or lg nanocell 85" is better?
I appreciate you showing the viewing angles and reflection on these tvs. Really sharp review. Thanks!
No problem!
I thought the Sammy looked washed out myself. Blind A/B test, I would've picked the LG all day.
LG looks far better. Better colour rendition, better contrast, better viewing angle, and user friendly interface. It is cheaper than Samsung. Samsung Qleds are far more hyped and more expensive. Not worth it. Come down from the high horse Samsung or TCL and Hisense will bring you down.
definitely sticking with my LG CX
High brightness destroys colors, Samsung has unnecessarily much brightness, LG still has natural colors and more accurate detail, Samsung loses a lot in angles, Nano technology is closer to Oled, qLED builds on high brightness that destroys colors and their range, less detail, Samsung still lags behind.
Great idea for a video👌, I did actually think the LG was far better, the Samsung looked over saturated to me.......
I go with the LG
which of the two is preferable to buy at the same price?
Very hard to say as they both have their strong and weak points.
The QLED was very good in low light and is able to go brighter than the Nanocell, but the picture from the Nanocell did look better in daytime viewing.
I noticed on this video you have the contrast on the LG up to 100 while it is only set to 50 on the Samsung. I bet 50 is the default on the LG as well.
Please make a video on the LG NANO90
Why the Samsung Q60T motion looks a bit laggy than LG Nano86?
because the q 60 has only 60 hz and the nano 86 has 120 hz samsung has only 120 hz ind their 55 and + zoll tvs i got a nano 86 but i got hte issue that the black colors doesnt seem to seperate very well so if you play, some objekts ore skins tones get swollowed and you loose track of it . but the tv lookjs pretty well with non dark colors
LG looks better to me. I like the contrast and colors better, the QLED is too bright it washes the colors out and strains your eyes. I don't wanna look at that bright of a screen when I play my PS4 Pro for 4-5 hours.
They don't sell the Nano86 in the USA.
They say the Nano85 have a bad HDR content quality is that true?
Thank you for the demo video.
No worries!
Bro, please make a comparison video between LG 8k nanocell vs Samsung 8k QLED.
Whats the best TV for a bright room of the ones you testet at your channel? Thx!!!
@@TheTechGiantTH-cam Thank you very much!
Unfortunately I don't have either of these TV's anymore as they were just on loan for me to test.
HDR is better on samsung. But samsung looks overexposed due to high brightness. Viewing angle is better on lg.
I'm watching mostly at night so qled will be better choice because it had rich black tone
I think you tested out of box quality only which is not fair because both need to be picture configured or calibrated to fairly equivalent settings
This is a brightness and reflection test, they don't need to be calibrated to show off their peak brightness or how they handle reflections.
Most people don't get there TVs calibrated...... therfore I would consider the fairest test would be with the settings as they are out of the box, as this is how the average person would use them.
James Beresford well many people refused to wear masks and distancing underestimating covid19 until it wiped their lungs, many refused protection then aids didn’t refuse them, what most people do isn’t necessary the right thing to do
@@Bezzer1975 This is what I've always said.
Its simply a fact your average consumer just pulls the telly out the box , plugs it in and that's it. But I will concede and amend my first comment by say yes, a test with both tvs calibrated and in the "out the box condition " would be preferable.
holy crap the LG looks insanely better. WTF. Thought Samsung would win this but LG has blown it away.
Better brightness visible on LG? but camera can be deceiving its just looks with higher brightness.
You need to step the camera back so both tv’s are in the shot at the same time
I can tell which T.V this guy is going to keep and thats the LG as it's on his wall mount lol.
You should've placed the TV's side by side because Samsung qled has poor vertical viewing angle
So torn between spending the money on the nano, for the 100hz and 2.1hdmi so when I get the ps5 in a few years (I'm not a commited gamer) it runs well. Or save 150 and get a of 4k uhd 8000 series. Anyone any advice on either TV?
The Samsung seems to be lagging tho forget the colour and brightness. The video itself is pausing ever so slightly on the Samsung the frame rate with qled isn’t good nanocell it’s better. You can tell
Which his the better black levels?
Does the Nano85 or 86 have a good backlight and black levels in game mode and HDR
Black levels are not it's strong point.
If you check out my other videos you should find a few where I test the black levels and also a couple of gaming tests.
@@TheTechGiantTH-cam Thanks I appreciate it
@@TheTechGiantTH-cam Can you recommend me a good TV for gaming have a good HDR display and HDMI 2,1 4K@120hz for 800$
