60 now. Years ago I owned a 260 and a 280 2+2. They are no longer with us. They went over to car heaven. Miss them so!!! Thanx for the heartbreak guys. 👌
I had a 72 240z with a widebody kit 50' all around on crager centerlines and best of all a 400hp 350 Chevy with a Muncie 4 speed. This was in the late 80's, this car was a death trap it weighed about 2430lbs, only 37 lbs over the little inline 6. The things we did back then was cost effective compared to these days. Today's hp numbers they get are insane and so are some of the cars in this video, but their price tags are probably 10 times the 5 grand I had in mine and that included high end tunes
I know the feeling I had a 72 240 put a LS6 in it with twin turbo and supercharger with 300 horse shot of nitrous took the speedometer out sent it to California got it calibrated 200 mph I want to see what it would do little did I know that thing would get airborne at 150 had a six-speed automatic in it end up selling the car I wished I never never sold it now I'm trying to find one but God they're high even one that's in a basket shape
man i absolutely love medusa. all of them are nice but i love how he integrated new tech with old school datsun bones. im getting ready to put my 73 in storage so i can save up before i send it out to Z car garage
Had a 260z back in high school 89. Was a hell of a runner. Cops got that one, in 96 got a 83 280zx and built the shit out of it. Damn near died in it when a kid shot the gap in traffic and I just so happen to be coming through. Another second and his jeep Cherokee would have been right on top of me! Fucker wouldn't even get out till the cops showed up.
I purchased a 240Z in 1971, that was the first full production year it was burnt orange. A friend of mine at that time owned a Datsun dealership, and had a yellow one on the showroom floor walkthrough to me first, but I was stuck on I want the burnt orange one oh, he told me it would take six to nine months before even got one in, I did not believe him at the time I thought he was trying to pressure me into buying the yellow one. I was wrong, nine months later I had a brand-new burnt orange 240Z. I've been fortunate to own 43 brand new cars in my life, and the 240Z was by far my favorite. December 28 2021
The car has a beautiful body from the factory, I'm not a fan of the fender flares. I wish I could afford to turn expensive tires into smoke. I wouldn't do it, but I'd like to have the money :-)
driving experience same like you driving Dutsun 120y....just this cars look good when we slam it down, and also wide body kit make it look more gorgeous....half it chassis is same like Datsun 120y... except it engine bay frame chassis a little bit long....only crazy people who lose their mind drive this cars to 230kmph in public road....feels flying af...if you compare this cars handling with Hyundai Atoz.... Hyundai Atoz ofcuz 100 times better in terms of handling, easy to control, sharp in connering, 120kmph enter the conner area no problem at all...just like standard regulation for F1 driver....for Devil Z things like this...if take 30 degree angel for conner, rubber mounting engine will squeeze and bounce the whole engine to side engine bay frame and it gonna adding 30% momentum to change the angle of direction.... that's why it good in straight line or highway but worse in torqe/down hill sprint.....if in morden you have GT86, Passo chassis with modified and extender engine bay frame....if you swap with big V8 engine it will crash in down hill sprint....if you have big buck go for GTR r35...cause it base pretty much like late model of Mercedes and many people love it or RX8...
Just for once I’d love to see wide fenders done the old school way, in full metal instead of those fugly plastic bolt-ons! I can’t wait for that fad to go away!
@@pacovl46 yes the plastic bolt on flares were a factory option in Japan for the 240z they were put on for racing homologation. I like the bolt on flares because its an actual factory part and looks good, welding on flares fucks with the factory look to much for me.
See to me, the full welded ones look bad imo. It looks almost too perfect to me, and really reminds me of things they did to the Zs in the 80s and 90s🤢. To each their own, but I prefer the simple looking flares. Looks more aggressive while still keeping the original lines.
I'm just not a fan of flares with exposed rivets. It just doesn't flow and looks add on. I prefer smooth blended lines for a more factory look. But to each their own
Right. “It so much fun to put something together for someone so they can use it” - for doing fucking burnouts! Pathetic! Burnouts are the stupidest thing ever when it comes to cars, followed directly by donuts!
@@JPee-x4you every car I own has done a few burnouts and my 260z once it is done shall do the same. If I break something while doing it I’ll happily fix it.
i dont know why you people just swap it i have 260z runs on L26 triple curburetors and its really good, also this cars isnt meant to be stanced and airlifted

Sorry for your loss, their serial numbers will be remembered.
@JP 60 Also 60.. had my 240 for 29 years. Everytime I see these videos, it makes my heart go pitter patter.
Even standard, these cars have always been stunners

Was it white with a whale tail by any chance? Originally orange from sacramento, california?
I’m currently building a 260z with a 6.0ls in it I’m going to be putting on the wide zg flares from rspec carbon I’m so excited to get it done

I'm still waiting for someone to drop an Audi inline 5 with quattro in one of these bad boys. I'd be a black sheep for sure but I'd love it.

Datsun 510 to the best
NASSTYZ is bad ass, love the exhaust noise but not digging the updated dashboard.

Its such an beautyfull shape and with that wide body just so bald! And it has soo much potential. Put an 2JZ engine in and your done. :-D
I rather the Rb26.
You have not looked at any MZR S30s. Ferrari has nothing on MZR S30s some say. However Medusa is pretty cool but it took 10 years.
never understood burnouts. why would you want to beat your car like that?
Because it’s fun
