Why would you cancel your E and then press protobelt?
Just use your E and Protobelt so you the range of the hook is lower and the chance to hit them with the hook is higher

Maybe you're already very close to the enemy and you don't want to waste time with the first dash of your E. This way you will get the most dps off :)
