E no longer has a shorter time cast the closer the distance. It’s same speed cast and cant be cast while cc-ed.

@@yllibeadini6689 the best tip vs malza is to use your e behind him if you think he is going to ult you, so it stuns him in the time he ults you or denies him to ult you, his creeps are free stacks, so I would say its pretty favored match up

Darius is a jaggernaut. Totally different champions. But still u can dodge his q, its very easy as irelia, and this is the key to win darius.
@Charlett simple mechanics-simple outplay. Irelia has a lot of mechanics to outplay any champion in this game, especially darius, if u cant outplay darius as irelia, may be u are bad on irelia? Some people doesnt like hard mechanics, they like to play simple champions.

just look at a couple of guides, practice farming and special combos, and play many games with irelia, without changing champions, to have muscle memory of the combos and how to execute them

Now sometimes: 18/6 and once 24/7
@@Icharissas agreed, before mine was like 2/9, my recent is now 13/2 (though we lost since bot vayne was fed and nothing i could really do about that)

Yeah, that seems the standard Darius matchup
Irelia does also have Wits end tho. She is midlane in this game and just goes top on a small vacation. Darius gets 100% value from his mythic while having plated steel caps while having healing reduction. It's safe to say that Darius has the better itemization for this exact fact. But yes, Darius is a very good pick into Irelia. However, this exact play is only this close because of the item difference. If Irelia had botrk, she would win this exact fight much harder when she plays it this fucking well.

Happy new year everyone! What a great start with a guide from Dobby for a champ I’ve really wanted to learn for a while now!
Seen a few Irelia guides before, but this one is the best one so far. Generally very structured. Going from the basics to more advanced moves in logical steps. I really like how in your guides new information always builds on the previous information. Some guides are all over the place. Not necessarily bad, but they require more knowledge about the champs upfront :)
Amazing video, love that trick with hiding the first E behind a minion or champion! Although one thing I wanted to point out is that the W at around 5:00 with the darius wouldn't block his true damage if im not mistaken

FINALLY someone who can make a champion guide with specific mechanical tips and tricks! I know map movements and overall strategy is important but WOW this was helpful.

12:00 the fact that this was even close gets on my nerves... the sett didn’t deserve any of the damage he got off
Yeah that's actual bullshit how Sett misses 2 of his 4 skills, gets stunned, and it's still a 1 hp difference on both of them at the end.
sett is so dog after lane phase than being op in it is fine i think

@@ronaldli5 Sett landed 3 of his skills: Q and autos got his Conq stacked, E locked Irel into tower range, W hit in the sweet spot, he itemized for the dmg Irel was doing WITH Grievous, Irel took two tower shots in that exchange, and STILL LIVED.
Sure, SETT is the one who didn't deserve that dmg.
@@ronaldli5 Ah, the second Sett: same lvl, built Bramble to Irel's Bow, used his shield to soak dmg where Irel instead aimed hers for Q-path and sustain because she inexplicably ALSO gets heals from her double-resetting gap-closing AA Q. So, 2 1/2 skills used to 4, with Bramble persistently dmging throughout.
This video helped me understand more. I have been playing Irelia wrong. Thank you!

Can't miss auto attacks my man. She didnt respect 5 stack darius. If not for ignite she'd have actually lost that.
@@allat0nce yeah how can you play vs darius? The 5 stacks is the only thing he can't miss so she can't play if he was able to right click? That was stupid
@@cristianoyagmurdzhy5579 the same way you play around 5 stack irelia. You let it wear off and reengage. It actually takes a lot of time to stack with autos, he can do max. 3 with W but then needs to hit his abilities.

@@cristianoyagmurdzhy5579 Thats not possible. Attack speed darius or HoB datius is a troll build. Virtually impossible he gets W and 4 autos off in 3 seconds.

@@idkwhatname3133 I mean...Even tho Irelia mains will say 100 reasons why she is weak and needs buff, their champ is broken as hell. She can outplay any lane she wants, she doesn't have ANY bad match up and she is 1v9 champ.

as an irelia main i can advice u to just play trynda/wukong, they are by far the hardest matchups. Fiora/renekton/garen/darius and other strong laners can still be outplayed and then outscaled in midgame. Trynda will never be killable 1 v 1 unless u are super ahead or you have enough minions to outplay him and wukong is just hard to get advantage in lane and scales as well as irelia with tankier items in mid/late game, to not talk about his insane lvl 6 all in.

As an irelia main, i can say that this video was pretty accurate. Here are few tips for new irelia mains that dobby didnt meantion:
Use your W right before something like darius E, renekton and pantheon W, warwick R to help you mitigate some damage and build up even more damage with your w, as its damge increases the longer you charge it. You can also use E1 and then W, since you can use both while in a CC. This is a little bit harder to do as it requires faster speed, so maybe try doing that after your skilled on the champion Also, you cant use E1 while locked in your W or in a CC, so dont even try that.
Your W hits behind you as well, so you can also use that in some cases, like if your using w to hard push a wave, or if your about to go in and you need a minion to be low enough hp to dash back to it.

Another good tip is: position your ult to where the enemy will go. A lot of irelia players especially in the laning phase hits E then ults behind the enemy making the ult face towards your tower. Dont overlook the slow and damage.
So we shud make sure the the triangle is facing their escape route is what you're saying? So they can't just run away

@@NBaeK01 yup, basically utilize your ult properly like when if youre chasing block their escape route or if youre in a duel make the enemy touch the ult by moving towards it.

How do i learn to dash from minion to minion?
I miss my q sometimes and that causes that i either need to flash or i die.
Hey I dont think you mentioned this in your vid, but you can survive tower by clicking w to reduce the dmg. An example is shown here 13:14

You could also ult + flash since it will surprise the enemies because the flash will cancel out the cast time for your ult ( or it will just make it faster, also should not be mixed up with flash + ult )
