    One very important thing to mention besides prices is the “state of the properties”. Yes, you may be able to buy a 1.2 million dollar house in Vancouver, but that’s a house that’s falling apart, has not been renovated, is very old, and needs immediate repairs (more investment). For 696,000 in Calgary, you’ll most likely get a house that’s been somewhat renovated and needs little to no immediate repairs. I currently live in Vancouver (been here for a few years) and I’ll be moving to Calgary next month to a house I bought in SW Calgary.

      This means Canadians are easier to slave because they enjoy shit+candy(Calgary now) after being forced to eat tons of stinky shit (Toronto and Vancouver). They pay for their stupidity for selecting the wrong and evil leader. Working middle class should leave this country before it sinks into Chinada/Indida

    We made the move from Vancouver about 7 weeks ago (to Cochrane) and now wish we had made the move years ago. It is amazing out here. For one it is a pleasure to drive around here compared to GVA, the people are much more friendly, more sunny days for sure, lots more diversity in wildlife. The lack of pst has been noticable! But the biggest thing we noticed is the sense of community and how inclusive and inviting everyone is here. So refreshing coming from Vancouver.
    I'm so glad I contacted you guys to help us find a place here! Erin was AMAZING!

      I thought I replied earlier... sorry... YAY... welcome to Calgary/Cochrane! So glad and thankful we were able to be apart of your journey! We have a client event coming up end of November, so make sure you and your family can attend!

    Great video of all the comparisons - I'm very familiar with both cities. By the way, people in Vancouver call it the Lower Mainland (that includes all the municipalities) or Metro Vancouver. 🙂 Another thing to consider is that the people in Calgary are a LOT friendlier and down to earth 🌍

    Sire you are right Calgary is much more inexpensive than Vancouver but there is only problem that is extreme weather. Honestly speaking in winter temperature gets -40 whereas Vancouver has quite pleasant weather even though in winter. Moving further, in term of jobs opportunities i think Vancouver has tons of jobs opportunities than Calgary .again its depends person to person where they would like to live but i personally love BC .

      @@ChamberlainGroup , it's the context of the statistics that European Canadians are being replaced and it's stated, sadly typically, like that's a very positive thing.

    Really guys? Everything is so expensive here. Don’t buy that. Stay where you are. We have a lot new comers from Saskatchewan as well. Then everything has become expensive. Realtors please be honest with people outside of our province.

    • @ChamberlainGroup
      @ChamberlainGroup  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think we are actually being very honest. Homes are still more affordable here than other parts of Canada. Even though as a local Calgarian you’re seeing prices going up, doesn’t mean it looks affordable to someone else. Coming from Winnipeg or Saskatchewan, absolutely it’s a different story, but that’s not the majority of where people are coming from.

  • @huangjay-h7r

    calgary is no longer worthwhile for young people. Speculation everywhere in this city which has -30 temperatures in winter. Montreal is way better in terms of weather and economy. Calgary is now more expensive than small towns around Toronto and Vancouver. Aspenwood Calgary is same price as cheap communities in Vancouver now.

    • @sovereignty14
      @sovereignty14 ปีที่แล้ว

      What small towns “around Toronto”?? Perhaps North of Barrie, West of London, or East of Kingston, all of which are > 1½ hr away!

    • @huangjay-h7r
      @huangjay-h7r ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sovereignty14 Toronto and surrounding have 100000X more jobs/industry/universities/economy than Calgary which has only oil and below 10 tech company headquarters. That’s why Calgary was cheap(not anymore now). for example Hamilton which is half hour from Mississauga. It has tons of detached old houses below 350k. And above 750k you will find large 2300sqft+ luxury houses.

    • @huangjay-h7r
      @huangjay-h7r ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sovereignty14the question is, why do all people stare at Calgary, ignoring other cities that has more job vacancies? Too many people in Calgary now, jobs are not enough. You usually see hundreds or even thousands of applications for 1 low pay job in Calgary now. Same job had below 100 applications 2 years ago.

    • @sovereignty14
      @sovereignty14 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@huangjay-h7r , no, I live adjacent to Hamilton and 2300-ft² homes are easily $1M.

    • @sovereignty14
      @sovereignty14 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@huangjay-h7r , you might be right about the jobs issue but, given, the last few years, in addition to _relative_ affordability, people are flocking to Alberta/Calgary for greater reasons: politics & culture. Jobs will be created in time as long as people are willing to struggle.

    Lets be honest. As a calgarian there is no room. Rent is already quickly approaching vancouver prices due to the influx from bc and ontario. There is no parking. Traffic everywhere. And failing infastructure.
    Oh and calgarians dont want you guys here. Just stay at home.
