These chairs are so evocative of rainy days sitting in the bow window with a book. Listening to the rain. While redone, they retain the look of old well loved parlor chairs! Great job of course!!!!! Elegant and yet touchable!
They look super cute. I absolutely hate working with rattan so respect for doing that. I struggled a lot 😂

Love watching you win the battle over perfectionism! As a recovering perfectionist myself, the tease of original fabric ( love loved) coming so clean before it desintigrated, would have put me in such a funk 😭 You handled each and every obstacle with such humor and grace. Final result is better than anticipated, well done!!😻
My hubby does that tooo! I thoughtfully choose when to ask for his help if it’s something I’d be happy for him to take over. 😂 24 yrs together. If he actually sees this he’ll just laugh. Gorgeous work and thanks for sharing
I love how you kept the age of the wood instead of trying to make it look new I prefer leaving the old characteristics to show what it was and what it is now

I love the way they turned out! That fabric with the stain was spot on.
The chairs now have a timeless quality about them. That should reflect positively when selling them. Definitely a winning pair but I anticipated you would use one chair in the competition - until I remembered the chairs were given to you. (It is sad when nice fabric dry-rots. Thankfully you had a nice fabric stash at home.)

They turned out really beautiful. I love the wash over the wood. I'm not a particularly darker wood person but they are gorgeous. The neutral fabric was the best choice to match the cane. Love from New Jersey USA 🇺🇸

Your reupholstery was great - pro tip - always add a dust cover on the bottom - can hide a multitude of sins or just for a polished finished look

Greetings from Quebec.. you are always one of my favorites to watch regardless of what you do at least you took the time and had the guts to try something a little bit different with reupholstering them if anybody comes at you negatively I will personally have a chat with them.... It takes guts to try something new that you're unfamiliar with and that's how you keep learning I was dying for a video like this because I have a Bishop's chair coming to me that has to be redone and I'm not looking forward to upholstering that
Good call on the color scheme and plainer fabric. The stripes give it a bit of interest without overpowering. Duckish neighbors suck but the chairs don't!
