Canon 1D Mark IV. Can you offer any advice on the replacement of the camera's lens mount plate? I need to replace the brass plate which has a stuck locking pin. After the removal of four screws on the plate's surface the plate still does not budge.
Wow, you did a good job, well, i found that there was another failure in this camera, there was broken a little metal thing... :-( . So i desided to use the rest of the camera for spare parts that i need for another camera. But i also want to do some experience on how to make a digital camera into full monochrome ONLY, almost just like the Leica M Monochrome... It could a be VERY interesting project.. I'm about 3/4 of way through putting it back together now, what a bastard job! Did yours work first time after?

The replacement shutter I bought was also faulty and showed "Error 99" after all that!
