Tardis groaning sound | The Legend Of Ruby Sunday | 3 minute loop

Here is the groaning sound from the 15th Doctors Tardis! This sound effect has features in various episodes throughout the series, and first featured in WBY. Looking back, I never noticed the sound in the 60th special until now, so that’s some nice foreshadowing into future events.

They may it look scary but didn’t really change it, they just brought back an old villain and that is SO CLEVER! I don’t think I’ve ever been more scared of the TARDIS than I have been watching this 😬

In Wild Blue Yonder's script it says the TARDIS "moans" and this is italised as well. Given that Sutekh was said by Harriet to have "Delighted and Seduced" the machine...well I'll leave that thought there I think

Yeah it does sound a bit weird in context 😂 I think it could be Russell playing around with words, although it does sound odd.

See, I don't hear this as groaning. I hear it as anger. The Tardis is pissed, either with Sutekh, or with The Doctor for letting Sutekh control it.

Definitely this. The cloister bells tend to indicate something wrong with the machinery, the groans are indicating that the actual living parts of the Tardis are having problems.

This. Cause when it's the Cloister Bells, you have some hope in that the TARDIS is functional like normal

This is a lot scarier. The cloisters come on and we know the Tardis is on our side telling us something is wrong. This groaning is a lot more ominous, more personal to the machine. It's played so well during part one of the finale, it makes you think the tardis is something to be afraid of.

The groaning in my opinion. The Cloister Bells is the TARDIS saying "Something is wrong, it needs fixing", like when your phone says it's low on power or when a doctor asks you to point where it hurts, but the groaing would be like if your phone just started screaming or if the pain was too severe you couldn't even speak, this is essentiallty the TARDIS just saying "help"
