Superior video on the Krank drivers. Although some of the technical terms were unfamiliar, the information provided was understandable.

Absolutely fantastic video I could have watched another 2 hours hearing about Flex Face for golfer's swing speed wow Krank👏👏👏👏👊

Yes, it was an interesting revelation for me as well. Unfortunately we are not likely to see it go mainstream. Consider the warranty problem. Your 110 friend is wondering if the head you are playing with your 85 mph swing will give him more distance. He hits it and it cracks. It is still under warranty. Can you get it replaced under the warranty?
Think of a Sumo wrestler jumping on your kids backyard trampoline. How long before it collapses.

I have a Formula 6 9.5 ordered stiff ordered +1” fuji shaft as I knew i was going to adjust length. I ended up at 44”. My swing speed is 112mph. You can pound on this thing. I feel zero deformation. They work! Learn to hit them they are heavier. Learning these will improve your whole game!

The new formula 11 xx drivers are out. When are you going to get the "old guys" together to test them?

Sir so what krank driver would be for me for my swing speed is 80 89 so I would want to have the driver that will have distance and spin to it

Love the idea of the Double X High COR head idea. Are you fitting these?

Yes, I am playing one. I heard from the customer that put one in his bag last week. He is playing his approaches to greens from places he has never seen before. He has seen 300 yard drivers were his typical drive was 260.

DevotedGolfer May be something I need to try then. Are they forgiving as well as long?

Is there any R&D into a high cor driver for fast swing speeds? I'd love to see how far a 120mph swing would hit a ball using a 0.9+ cor head (and doesn't break).

I was thinking the same thing.

I think he addressed it in this talk. He actually uses lower COR for very fast swings to maximize distance. At some point More COR is actually losing yards as swing speed increases.

Sadly, no one in my foursome going to allow me to compete and win w an illegal driver. Same for my local club tournaments. If you use this club, you’d get DQd

So is Lance saying that if you were to have a high swing speed player with a 120+ mph club head speed, hitting the high COR driver, his ball speed and distance wouldn’t be any better than if he were to swing the conforming head?

    • @DevotedGolfer
      @DevotedGolfer  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

At 120+ the ball speed will be lower. Imagine a sumo wrestler jumping onto your kids trampoline. Do you see him bouncing up into the air? I see the trampoline breaking. And that is what will happen to the driver head. The 115+ mph kids I work with break conforming driver heads annually. They get replaced under warranty with no questions asked. So, imagine the issues related to making softer heads tuned to swing speeds. Your 115 mph friend wants to try your 80 mph head. The sumo wrestler jumps on your trampoline, its breaks. Warranty replacement????
BTW, Lance makes Low COR heads for long drive.

@@DevotedGolfer great analogy. If you ever find a TH-cam video of someone testing this, I’d love to see the data.
Everything you’ve said is true. I average 131 club head speed and have topped out at 141 on trackman. I was breaking 2-3 Taylormade driver heads a year till I got a Krank. Recently started getting a rattle in it but overall, it has held up well since getting it in June of last year.
It will be intriguing to see how the carbon face of the Stealth will hold up to higher swing speed players.

Agreed, it will be interesting. I was at a TaylorMade presentation earlier today describing the research, technology and construction process. Only a company with the engineering staff and budget could attempt this construction. But, material technology is constantly being refined. A larger face increases the sweet spot. Lower weight frees up weight placement into other areas of the club head. Abrasion durability addressed with a final coat polyurethane. Months of tour player testing. We will see, my bet is that it is a working design.

If the governing bodies of golf were dinosaurs they allow golfers drivers to be fit the way you suggested.
