Awesome job producing that and thanks for testing our FIRE X drivers. I have a few comments. The thing that stood out the most to me is the launch angel and total height of the ball in flight. With the shaft that came with our driver the launch average was 2 degrees higher launch and 30 feet (10 Yards) higher than the Callaway. I'm not sure the loft of the Callaway you used but it certainly hit the ball much lower. That is a big deal for reduced spin rate, ball speed and overall distance. When you put the Callaway shaft in the FIRE X it did reduce the launch angle, overall height and improved the performance. Loved how you explained CT. The FIRE X is around 330 CT. The Callaway is around 240 CT. I would love to see the numbers if the launch angle was the same on both heads. I would expect the FIRE X would be noticeably longer. The USGA measures CT for a reason but all things need to be equal to see in on a simulator. Thanks again for putting all this together.
Hey much appreciated for the feedback! The Fire X is certainly staying in pops' bag so hopefully we will be able to tweak our settings a little more to find the optimal combination for distance! It should be a lot of fun throughout this indoor season, then back out to the courses in the spring! 🙌
Driver as advertised. One of my left handed golf buddies also got one, we both smoke our drives now. Watching that ball take off the club face is amazing. As I said here hitting 30-50 yards further most about 50 yards and hit 314 last week on the green in one. Been about 14 years since I hit a 300 plus yarder.
I purchased a XX Krank this summer with a slightly longer 46.5 Fujikura Speeder x light tour shaft. The Ball has been launching off this driver and my drives are now 30 to 50 yards further. Last week wind aided mind you I hit my first par 4 314 yards on green in one. I have not hit that far in 14 years or so. As a left hand golfer one of my golf buddies started using it and he also has been hitting some serious yardage. He has also now purchased a Krank XX also. Guys it works!
Really enjoyed this video guys. It was informative and entertaining. I have distances similar to your pops so it was great information for me. I really like that you switched the shaft out to give an apples to apples comparison of the two driver heads.
I bought this with a 47” shaft and it took me a while to get the swing path & temp right but I absolutely love it now. I don’t think I get more than 20 yards more but I call it easy power. Cheers fellas
@@fclass308 I can't remember off the top of my head it was so long ago, but we showed it/said it in the video, perhaps around the time when we swapped heads or right at the beginning of the test.

I seen a bunch of them brand new for $25 bucks a piece at some wedges, probably 20 drivers, never seen them before, going bay in 2 days and see if they have anymore.
I bought the Fire XX 2 years ago and swung it twice and didn't hit it good so I put it away lol, well 2 yrs later I was struggling hitting any distance so I dug it out and did a 9 hole test with my other driver and every drive with the fire xx was easily 20 to 50 yds longer, I couldn't believe it, the thing I noticed right off was the ball seemed to stay in the air alot longer and its a 9 degree so lots of roll, I am 56, and have had 10 back surgeries with a double fusion, went from 185yd drives to around 220yd drives.
I hope you found the right combination. The particular Krank driver is not USGA approved and hard to buy if you cannot get the distance they claim. I was thinking about trying but the member/guest tournaments plus others require us to follow USGA rules
@@luisfontanez7244 Absolutely! It's all about keeping the game fun for you! I play in too many USGA events and tournaments that I wouldn't use a non-conforming head.
The actual Headsdont make a difference if the have the same loft ! The shafts are what matters more : the kickpoint of the low or high + the torque of the tip + the flex + the quality of the graphite and all this is in relation with the spin rate of the ball .... Lastly , the lenght of the club is the most obvious factor : add 1 inch ,it will add 10 yards !
@@normandbisson6767 The heads have many properties that affect launch data, but as you say the shaft is also a key piece of this. Maybe so, Billy. I've tried thousands of shafts of the years. To be fair in this video, the Callaway Mavrik was fit to me, outperforming dozens of other drivers a couple years ago. So it should perform well for me. The Krank was up against tough competition, at least for me.
