The gpu also matters . The one used by ranjeet was india unit which had a mali g71 but the us version has a adrenno 540 that one is better at gaming.

Amay anup : it's not the GPU s8 has one of the most powerful GPU both adreno and Mali both performance similarly. it's because of the lack of optimisation with in the game . one plus 3t did lag while playing asphalt despite having aderno

I think the lag problem is related to ram. in redmi phone there are many preloaded apps most of which based on net connectivity so if even you don't use them they take up ram, in my view those apps can be disabled to free the ram then you try gaming or haevy operations.
EVERY XIAOMI OR CHINESE DEVICE ALWAYS HAS ISSUES WHEN IT'S LAUNCHED... DID U REMEMBER LAST YEAR LE 1S WAS LAUNCHED? IT HAS A POOR CAMERA BUT WITH SOFTWARE UPDATE IT IMPROVED A LOT.. ALSO TAKING ABOUT REDMI NOTE 3, IT ALSO HAD ISSUES WITH NOVA 3 GAME AS IT LAGGED A LOT.. BUT WITH OTA UPDATES IT'S FIXED. NOW IT RUNS Perfectly FINE. SO GIVE THIS LITTLE REDMI 4 BIT TIME AND WAIT FOR OTA UPDATES.. IT WILL BE FIXED 4 SURE. SO DO NOT THINK THAT IT'S POOR FOR GAMING.

That Asphalt 8 lag could be attributed to optimization coz it handled that mc5 with ease.. But do note that u were playing mc5 on OPTIMAL graphic setting. Plz in next next gaming review do check graphics settings of MC5 GAME TOO

I'm sure this phone will lag if he play Multiplayer mode...

Hey Ranjeet...why dont u try Critical Ops while doing a gaming review? This is also a pretty heavy game if you compare with Asphalt 8 and also if there are lagging then it's supposed to be pretty clearly visible even while making a video of it. I've seen phones that dont lag on high graphics settings for Asphalt 8 but it lags while playing Critical Ops even while playing at medium graphics.
Could you suggest a good phone (within a year release) in the price range , 10k-15k?
