    Edit: K so i actually did the math. Its around 180 bpm buuut since its in cut time, that technically makes it a whopping *_360 beats per minute_*
    For reference as to how fast that is, flight of the blumblebee is only 190 bpm.
    Not only that, the fastest song ever marched was only 220 bpm

    I was going to say it on my own, but @TheOfficialDragonPlays beat me to it... The stuff that you play is just so inspiring and motivating, and I've found myself learning baritone on top of trumpet and playing it for band. However, I would never consider dropping trumpet. Love it too much! Surprisingly, despite stereotypes on playing multiple brass instruments, I found that playing Baritone has improved me as a Trumpet player in ways I couldn't have imagined. Anyways, thanks for the inspiration! Keep up the great work! :)

    • @Matonizz
      @Matonizz  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Here's my 2 most important pieces of advice. 1. Speak with as many professional players and find out what their job requires them to do. Rehearsals, learning music, performances, traveling, money (if that is something they would be willing to talk about), how much practice goes into this and etc. If you still feel like that's the gig for you then follow nr.2
      2. In arts, including euphonium playing, once you made a decision to become a professional player you can not stop. No deadlines, no quitting and you eventually will get there. Might get there sooner, might get there later but you can not stop playing and practicing and trying to get better. You will slow down at some points because you are not a machine but you can not ever stop.
      Follow these two advice and you'll do well my friend. Hope this helps, best, M

    • @tomsoto5014
      @tomsoto5014 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Third valve is used as an alternative to valves 1-2; it is used for better intonation at times. Even compensating horns use the third valve in the upper register to keep from going sharp.

      1) Some pieces are in treble because those are usually European brass band compositions/arrangements. Treble is preferred clef there. That being said, most of pieces we play are in bass clef, including this video.
      2. We didn't. Not exactly know which part are you referring to but i think you might have not noticed that some of parts are in bass clef.
      3. Name of the piece is written next to image each time new piece starts.
      Hope that answers the questions friend. Best, M

      Er check out British-style brass bands in Europe and the UK. Some amazing music and players. The clef means nothing as to how good a player you are. In my experience of community banding in both brass and military style bands I would even say that brass band Euphonium music is on the whole more demanding on the player than concert/military music.

      @@brasschick4214 Sure thing! I'm a wind band composer in the US and Euphonium music here is generally in bass clef. The treble clef transposition is more of an aid for trumpet players transferring to euphonium at the request of the band director. That's why I was surprised to see it used in such advanced contexts. But I think you're exactly right about the brass band pieces though.
