i expected maxey to take a leap this season but definitely wasn’t expecting this big of a leap his scoring from all 3 levels has been good but the massive strides he has taken a playmaker especially in the pick and roll with embiid has what really impressed me the most
I’m sure he will, the bigger question is embiid, will he finally be healthy going into the playoffs? Will he actually show up and play like the heaviest finesse dude in the league..
@winter9242 which is what the 76ers did before Harden got there when ben didn't want to play anymore. The only difference is Maxey is a little better now and he's not a rookie. Also embiid is willing to pass a little more. Nick nurse is getting way to much credit from casuals who are not from philly and don't watch the 76ers
I kinda feel like James Harden's lack of adaptability had enough to do with Maxey being forced into a spot up role that it's not all on doc, but the nick nurse upgrade is real
All NBA level season if he can keep it up. If he can finish at around 25-7-5 on over 40% on the 3, 48% from the field, over 90% at the FT line. Definitely All NBA. Underrated very good Assist to turnover ratio as well as a player having full-time ball responsibility.
I’m gonna sound crazy but when I watch him, to me he looks like a mix of Steph (movement and shooting and the way he finishes) and harden (the way he creates space off the dribble and his burst to the rim)
😊 the young man loves the game and that one reason a lot of his training shows in his talent. Maxey Loves the game and am glad for him that he fell to the right team in Philly. Mr. Maxey is going to win some rings in Philly.
The sixers need to get another high powered guard or forward to help out embid and maxey , they have a bad habit of having one or 2 great players, and expecting them to challenge other teams 4 or 5 great players, and it's always a mis match, look how they did Dr. Julius Erving as great as he was. A few more great players and doc would have won more chips in his tenure with the sixers. Been a sixers fan for many years. l hope they don't do the same with maxey and embid , they are loyal and deserve great help so they don't get worn out without a legitimate chance to get a chip.? Real Philly fan for years
@benjaminweiss1817 Caruso isn't worth more than cap filler and a 2RP for us though, we already have Springer and PatBev. If anything I think he costs too much while I'd be fine giving up a FRP for OG
@benjaminweiss1817 You're massively overvaluing OG, he's already told the Raptors he wants to be traded and his contract ends this season. And no way I'd give up Springer for Caruso, he's going to be the better player in a year or two
If you asked me before the trade, but after the Holiday deal, I would've told you Philly would be in the conversation for 3/4 along with Miami (I put them there just because they made the finals last year, but these two were behind Milwaukee and Boston for me). Now, I think there's a case for them to be the #2 seed in the East. Milwaukee has a lot of problems to figure out, not the least of which is an aging roster around their prime age superstar. Boston has been as advertised, but I think the Sixers could challenge them, and they could go on a deep run this year, if Embiid finally lives up to his potential and Maxey can maintain this energy over the course of the long season.
I honestly dont think this has EVER been an indictment on how good Harden was for this team. In my eyes, its ALWAYS BEEN ABOUT DOC RIVERS! Doc should never have another coaching gig in this league. His time has passed him
All the tanking and their best draft pick to build around Embiid was a late first round pick 21th pick of the NBA draft of 2020 after going 3 years to the playoffs
With such combo of speed & muscle Maxey no need to be an advanced ball handler to beat the defense one-on-one. Not sure if he contributes to playoffs w/o proper team D though
Idk personally I think he’s super overrated even with all the stats. If you watch his game does one of two things: Run in at full speed toward the rim after screen or Run to the outside and shoot 3 after screen. That high use of energy is great for regular season play but I just don’t see it ever working this well in the playoffs
Sixers still need a backup point guard to relieve maxey when he is resting. I think maxey with his current progression since the draft projects him to be a top 3 point guard ever and I think he will reach it. His speed and range of shot making is rose combined with young dame 🤷♂️ just needs to be more shifty with his handles and improve his playmaking

he was always this good, had tight reins because of Hardin
Signing Nick Nurse was really a great move for Philly. Hoping he can make the adjustments come playoff time.

Nick nurse's value will be determined in the playoffs because currently they look like the same old 76ers from the past 2 seasons
@@dominiquebrown2890not really philly have more DHOs instead of letting harden have the ball most of the time

sixers are a top rebounding team in the league which was never true with doc or brett brown. also their pace is waaaaaaay up @@dominiquebrown2890

Maxey is definitely my MIP followed by Scottie Barnes and Cam Thomas.
Hali could be too even though he had great numbers last year
I’m gonna sound crazy but when I watch him, to me he looks like a mix of Steph (movement and shooting and the way he finishes) and harden (the way he creates space off the dribble and his burst to the rim)
Dude I was thinking like the same thing. He is definitely looking at Steph tapes. The passes, how he’s looking at the court, James all over.
Thoroughly enjoyed this coverage & in depth review
Plus his New Balance kicks are pretty sweet. 😄

Doc Rivers should have been fired as soon as he decided to bring Maxey off the bench last year

OG Anunoby is the move. Philly doesn't need another star, but another elite roleplayer who fits perfectly as a support piece

We need a backup PG and a legit 2 or 3 next to Maxey.

Alex imma need a video on fake wannabe allstar, next point god in the making Tyrese Haliburton soon please!
Doc didn’t want Maxey to shoot his floater
Maxey next up in the game 💨🔥
Great analysis

only thing that matters is if shots fall in the court and basket are the same ,except for choking

I’m confused why he always smiling, even if they lose. Everything isn’t funny.
In an interview with Bill Simmons, Doc Rivers said Maxey always exuded a natural positivity in the locker room.
making millions wash ,Detroit Carolina even you would ,laugh, maybe even do back flips
MAXEY IS AN AVERAGE/BELOW AVERAGE STARTING NBA GUARD 12-13-2023 VS PISTONS IS PRIME EXAMPLE 😂💩
you must be a Boston fan
