    It’s insane how much Coaching makes a difference. Docs coaching just seemed to be “go out there and play” and he relied on Embiid or Harden doing things by themselves. However now they’re playing as a team and using screens so effectively. Maxey is so fun to watch he’s still so young too.

  • @joejoe5156
    @joejoe5156 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I remember when maxey was a rookie i kind of viewed him as eventually being a 6th man microwave scorer type who could be a starter who puts up decent numbers on a mediocre to bad team. Then he developed and i thought alright maybe this is the type of guy who can start for a good team and make an all star team at some point. Now, obviously it's only 9 games in and i dont expect him to be *this* good all year, but it's clear that considering he literally turned 23 like a week ago that he can be at least the 2nd best player on a championship team, if not now at least in his prime. Genuinely feel at this point he seems like he'll be a damian lillard type who isnt a complete liability on defense which is just an incredible player. If his production for the year winds up in the same ballpark it is right now his ceiling might even be higher than that, he's legit producing like an mvp candidate right now at a very young age and is an incredibly hard worker

      @HoopVenue  ปีที่แล้ว

      I really like certain aspects of his defense.
      Agree that he isn't the type of deterrent that guys like Embiid and Gobert are, but still one of the best rim protectors in the game imo, moves pretty well.
      I honestly view his strengths and weaknesses as similar to JJJ, just if you stripped away a lot of JJJ's versatility. So that'd make him an all-D candidate, but not a DPOY one.

    The Harden era might ended being exactly what this team needed. Got rid of Simmons. Maxey absorbed everything he could about running an offense. They flipped him for a bunch of capital. Now they’re in an unbelievable position to take a next step. Nobody thought this was possible a month ago.

    Bruh, this team is doing great. But we even could’ve had Jayson Tatum, Mikal Bridges, basically a whole team of All-Stars

    Big reason embiid isn’t isolating every possession and having more turnovers is nurse. Embiid was spoiled by the franchise with no accountability during the process hence why Simmons refused to shoot, nurse is the savior of this team and they definitely making the ecf if they get a back up point like brogdon and maybe and og or Caruso

  • @normanball612

    People kill Embiid for his lack of playoff success and it is so annoying because it is barely considered that he had to play with one of the most ridiculous players to enter the NBA, Ben Simmons. Maxey is attacking and Ben literally refused to shoot the Basketball and showed ZERO improvement while Maxey clearly improved each year. Then he gets a PG, James Harden who spent 5 years being allowed to foul bait in Houston, but not after he left Houston because the league wanted to change the wanted to change how they officiated, thus reducing Harden's effectiveness. This is really the first time that Embiid played with a Guard with no offensive flaws.
