In real driving, throttle response and good driveability are at least as satisfying as raw power. I would guess 200bhp and loads of torque is probably the sweet spot in something Fabia sized 👍

is it true that there are remaps that can be put on with just mpg in mind, im looking at fabia and octavia , probably the octavia, and my goal is to get me a very good fuel costs car, and im told that they can really be improved on fuel with a remap, however, my guess is when cars are tuned up a little, that some drivers may, then take it more easy on a long run to make sure the extra power isnt using more fuel, hence it might not make it more economic to run in reality, can you guys tell me what can be done if any to improve mpg, thanks
We don't normally look into mpg figures, mostly power figures. Similar specs to the one in this video often leave with 40-50 mpg average, sometimes more, even after having some fun with it. With careful tuning and removal of some restricting parts, mpg can be maintained or slightly increased even
i have an a4 b7 2.0 tdi 140 ps. the problem with it is that it is extremely slow. i was thinking of getting a hybrid turbo on the smaller side so i can push around ~200hp, but then i assume i would probably need an uprated clutch aswell. so all in all, it would probably cost around ~2k. do you guys think the standard clutch will hold at 190-210 hp? because im not sure if i want to drop 2k just for that, just makes more sense buying a more powerful car at that point. if i were to just do a remap, would it be noticable?
