  • In this video we start diving into the rear suspension of our C3 by removing the driver's side rear torque (trailing) control arm. You can purchase fully rebuilt units for nearly $1000 each or you can do it yourself for a tiny fraction of the cost. That is what I intend to do.

    I suspect that cotter pin being "backwards" is because the suspension was most likely full assembled before the body was put on the frame which makes disassembly much more interesting!

    Are you going to leave that DOT 5 fluid in ? I went back to DOT 4 a few years ago when I re-did my brakes. The DOT-5 had gummed up inside the calipers.

      Interesting. It was a real pain to flush the system so I could run the DOT5 so I will probably stick with it. It does not mix AT ALL with the others. The brakes have been fine so I will most likely leave them alone.
