Generally even expensive sports cars rattle due to stiffer chassis, wide wheels, and rigid performance rubber band tires. Happens even in Ferraris and Lambos.
I just bought a 2025 M4 Competition Convertible and love it. My big issue is in the mornings I have fog on the outside of the windsheild. I've tried the 3 diff air circulation settings without any luck.
I do about 22 miles one way (44-45 miles round trip) daily in mine. avg about 24mpg this month, so around what I avg when I had a F10 535i. only gripe is the smaller gas tank vs the G30. that thing could do 28+mpg and around 450miles a tank with 2 more gallons. The interior rattles, you should see how much it creaked and rattled in the E46 and E90. at the end of the day it is a interior of a G20 with based price of $35-40k ish around the world. I've been looking at different exhaust sound clips, so far the only one I think it is an actual improvement is the Supersprint while everything else is just loud and obnoxious. I've been around since the e46fanatics days, the S5x motor has always sounded raspy which I don't mind.
@@RicheeRevs I think they are working to fix this type of design. "Euro NCAP will introduce new testing rules in 2026 that require vehicles to have physical controls to earn the highest safety score."
Cost saving,, now engineers don’t need to design for different cars, they can slap the same screen on different models and save on design and material costs.
I’m strongly considering an M3 Xdrive, and I appreciate hearing both sides as no car is perfect. 1. Exhaust noise: I’m more worried about bite than bark, but I do appreciate nice sound. Not a dealbreaker. 2. No physical knobs for AC, that’s really disappointing and would bug me. Especially even having circulating air settings in the same screen?? 3. Fuel efficiency: a non-issue for me. I have a daily driver. 4. Expensive to mod: Been there! My last weekend car was a MOPAR. I feel your pain on that one, but I plan to leave the M3 stock if I buy it. Of course, that’s what I said about my Challenger…. 😢 5. The Rattle: that would bug TF out of me. 👎🏼 please keep us updated on that one.
Could not disagree more about the exhaust sound. Single mid pipe with valve controller is the sweet spot. This engine just doesn’t sound good from the get go unless you go single turbo. I do agree the axle back portion looks terrible, panting it black helps. By the way I have the same rattle near the center console, I think it’s the cup holders. When I have anything in them the rattle is much more consistent. Super annoying.
eh after coming from the full valvetronic, the single mid+oem axleback just sounds like a tin can to me. but it is 100% better than the full OEM exhaust. glad the single mid works for you though! it's much better on the wallet haha
My 22 M4 Comp was purchased (Cali) for the weekend or twice a month, otherwise it's in the Garage! Your "nit picking" about a rattle and gas. Gas is 7 dollars a gallon in Orange County and LA County...I wouldn't purchase the car if I was concerned about gas mileage. (Thats' why I have a daily driver car). Yes! the exhaust is weak! I have the old dashboard, but the one you have I don't like!
oh yeah for sure! i wouldn't have bought this car if i truly cared about mpg but it's just a reason for those who might take that into consideration. where the heck in OC do you live for premium to be $7? i only pay about 5.20ish
@@RicheeRevs likes the modern look of the screen but complains about not having the buttons that are in the 2022 version. The only difference between the 2022 and "new" car is the screen. I thought the same thing until I drove a g80 m3. And then a lightbulb went on realizing that the g80 was superior in almost every way. The price is really what kept me away from the g80 until I drove it and realized it was worth the upgrade. Been driving the g80 for about a month now and haven’t missed the f80 once.
And your not being nit picky about that rattle, I would go freaking nuts if I paid that kind of money and had to deal with that annoying rattle!
for sure. i'll get it checked out once i take it in for service
The b58 sounds better than the s58.
Fact
@@justinbrown3103 And it sounds better than the s55 motor too. Why is that? Do you know?
it's the single turbo. if you should check out what a single turbo s58 sounds like

aftermarket exhaust is the only way to fix the sound. my full valvetronic exhaust sounded so damn good
