U just opened a whole New door of opportunities!! Different colors, then once dried, I can stamp over it?! Like a New dimension of washi tape?? (A gradient of pinks/ reds alcohol ink then stamp with different heart shapes...or. Multicolor inks "bday colors" then stamp w/ bday theme stamps..."teeny stamps"...) I gotta go play Right NOW!!!. Thanks my crafty friend. 💗
Thank you for sharing it and right to the point. I love that you included showing how you use it. Super helpful and beautiful washi tape. Waiting for my alcohol ink.
A few years back, I made my own alcohol ink. Can't remember exactly how. But I got cheap mini spray bottles, added alcohol. I bought cheap markers & took them apart. Inserted the ink tube in the alcohol bottle & let the ink color the alcohol. Much cheaper & it actually worked for me.
You can put several colors on the same dauber in different spots. As you stamp on an object, change the direction of pad to mingle colors at the same time. The sky is the limit.
Ephemera’s Vintage Garden is a great channel! She’s a wise book-maker and very good teacher. She has a ton of tutorials, some are really good basics. She’s one of the first journal-makers I learned from. Her books are always very precise. Thanks for this tape tutorial. I think I already have those same alcohol inks. I have to get cracking!
I use to remove the very old tape from old books so I have a bunch of real antique grungy tape. for sure I will try this method. Do you know Scotch Tape had been invented in 1931?
Have you ever had any issues with the ink not drying? I live in Florida in the US and it is incredibly humid here. I tried to follow your directions, and my ink never ever dried. Maybe I used too much?
This looks so fun. I love look. I can’t wait til I get my desk cleaned off so that I can give this a try.

You can do it with acrylic paint watered down unless it’s transparent paint. ❤
I think you could but I haven’t tried 🩷
Thanks for showing how to make this.

Absolutely, with some turquoise mmmmmm 🤗🧡
How does one store it. Keep it on the plastic envelope i presume
Hi, yes, I just keep it on the plastic sheet until I need it 🩷
Thank you for sharing. I’m also in Australia, are you able to share where you bought the ink from please?
I got them from CraftOnline 🤗💖
Thanks 🙏🏼
Does the alcohol ink dry sticky on the tape like it does on paper?
Not sticky at all 🤗💖
Have you ever had any issues with the ink not drying? I live in Florida in the US and it is incredibly humid here. I tried to follow your directions, and my ink never ever dried. Maybe I used too much?
Oh no, mine has always dried fine, yes use a little less and see how you go, and wipe up puddles, only needs a thin layer of ink 🩷
Thank you. I will try again!
