It’s like a nice microwave touch screen . No pushing in so that won’t wear out . I m happy with it amd I know there’s way better . I just want to charge up quick and have fun . Not sit there wondering why my lipo charger is so damn slow 😂
This does charge significantly faster than my old imaxb6 type of charger , like $40 on Amazon . It would do maybe one or two clicks a minute but the gens ace does like 5 or 6 in a minute so it s substantially faster and I don’t even have it at 5 amps charging because I found the fan runs less often around 4.1 amps it barely comes on . I think it s a good charger . I just know how hot these things can get , lol . They ll melt wires if not supervised .

Another great video and cool product. Maybe not but shouldn't that been set to cell balance? my chargers when i just tell it charge it doesn't do a balance charge. or is that a mode where you could charge only using the balance connector and not have to connect the main leads?
Sorry I should have clarified more! The charge setting does indeed balance the battery. The cell balance just balances the cells, no charging involved. This charger technically can't charge without balancing.
It is good for 5000mha 6s batteries? (per battery). I have one powerlamb8 v2 and I need one second to help with charge because I have a lot 9f packs. (I fly helis) How you see the balance?
A little under powered for my needs but I applause gens ace for all the leads included I haven’t seen that with other chargers. I’m the same way with my lipos once in a while I’ll check I/r but I know people that keep records on every single aspect.

the owner at the hobby shop told me to use the CELLBAL when charging but not the CHARGE mode, because CELLbal will charge each cell fully as CHARGE will not, anyone have any input on that? When I use the CELLbal I only get about 10 minutes drive time, not super hard driving either.
He was confused a bit, CELLBAL, and charging are 2 different things. You should balance your battery every few runs, and regular charge it to get it full before every run
Capacity cutoff. Do you need to set it? Or can you just leave it off? Just got myself a Losi Baja Rey king version with the 3S. The 3S battery I got is rated to 5200mA.
I bought one but the electrical smell it produces really stinks up the room, I contacted Gen Ace and they said it's normal and wears off, I've used it constant for a month and the smell isn't going away at all. It doesn't get hot or anything and works great but the smell is annoying anyone else have the same issue?
Could be I got one that was coated with something. No telling. I have a 2nd inquiry in with gen ace but not expecting a response. I considered buying a 2nd one to see if it was the same (it works well and i could use another charger) but i don't know if its the same as the one i have now it would really be a bummer.

Are you asking for a discharge rate or a charge because normally 1c would be safe.

I leave mine off. The charger will shut off when the battery is charged and I haven't had issues charging large packs on it.

Thanks for watching! You will need to buy that connector for this charger but it would have no problem charging that battery.
